FAQ:
Q: Can I send you a deck to check out?
A: Only patrons can send me decks and expect a reply, because I get too many of these requests to manage. Consider joining the discord (links above) and posting your decks in the #decks channel for community feedback.
Q: Why didn’t you play this certain card I would play?
A: Because I don’t think it is as good as every other card in the deck.
Q: Why did you make that play at time stamp XX:XX?
A: I usually talk through my plays, so watch again and see if I mention it (I often do, sometimes during the turn after the play to keep the video moving). If I don’t mention it at all, I may have missed it. I miss plays several times a day, and so do other players.
Q: How can I support the channel?
A: Watching the videos IS supporting the channel. There are many options above if you have extra money and would like to help more. I appreciate it, I have a lot of bills and life stuff to manage, but it is not required. Take care of yourself first, watch the videos, then give other financial support if you really want to.
Q: Will you play janky deck xyz?
A: My mission is to show people decks that they can play often, win games with, and feel successful with. I don’t enjoy decks that strive to achieve an interaction but rarely win (aka, janky decks). There are many successful jank players on TH-cam, and you should check out their channels. I am competitive, I like winning, and I like helping others win and feel successful. That is why you won’t see janky combo decks on the channel very often.
Q: Do you show all your games, or do you edit out your losses?
A: I don’t show all my games. The video is usually the best moments of between one and three hours of recording. I remove games for a number of reasons, both wins and losses. Some games are slow, some aren’t competitive because of lands, some are the same matchup over and over. More losses get cut out than wins because winning is more fun for me, which makes for better content for most viewers. It can be disappointing for those who want to see me lose (yes, people watch just to see me lose, I see you!).
Q: If you edit out some of your losses, how do I know if a deck is good and worth crafting?
A: If you watch the entire video, I always give my honest opinion about the deck at the end. As always, you are welcome to draw your own conclusions. My goal is to show off a variety of decks that can get a player with skill and conviction into Mythic, and I want them to have fun doing it. I almost never show a video of a deck that I don’t believe in, and if I don’t like a deck after playing it, I guarantee you will know about it if you watch the whole video and listen to what I have to say.

At 46:20, deciding which Apparition to attach the Maul to, you say "It doesn't really matter which one." Actually, it would be best to attach it to one of the other ones, because that would leave the Apparition that exiled the Giant Killer as one of the ones on the ground. Then, when it died, YOU would get the token, rather than your opponent getting it.
Correct, the exiled card's owner creates the token so it did matter !

Your theory is correct - Speaker limits options in best of three.
I‘m not a pro player by any means. But isnt having it in best of three limitless even? You could swap it after the first game with another creature in your sideboard. The opponent would wait for a speaker but the whole deck has changed through this one swap.
Since the deck also didnt change much except for the speaker it‘s almost like an optional cherry on top
@@theoalbert871 certain cards are pretty much required to be used alongside speaker. You need at least one over source of life gain like lindon. You'd have to at least 8 of the 15 sideboard cards to be worthwile which are cards that arn't hate cards like magistrate
I recently played another version of this deck which might need a spotlight in the near future. It can out-pressure both monored and rogues while going cleanly under the sultai ultimatum decks using a combo of usher of the fallen, clarion spirit, and heraldic banner plus the normal alseid/savior/luminarch shell. Reidane and rally the ranks is bonus. Made it to mythic yesterday with it.

At 21:00, under the assumption that they have Giant Killer, playing the Reidane artifact side might have been an interesting line. Not that it ultimately would've mattered, given their hand.
At 44:20 you mention needing a land to move your equipment off the stolen Giant Killer, then you say “or a Halvar”. You drew a Skyclave instead, but Halvar actually wouldn’t have worked; it can only move equipment or auras attached to a creature you control, no matter who controls the equipment/aura. In fact, you can use Halvar to move an opponent’s Bound in Gold or Bind the Monster to a lesser target.

I do like mono white but never seem to run well with it. I’ll give this none lifegain version a run and. See how I do but I’m stuff having a lot of fun with you mono green snow list from a few days ago, I’m at a 63% win rate with nearly 60 games played with it just got myself into diamond with it for the first time in months, fingers crossed for my 2nd ever visit to mythic. I'm telling you all, the shuffler defines who wins and who loses. BTW I have a similar deck, I included some white runes for the lifelink and cycling, could help in situation such as the game vs tempo dragons.

Oh wow top 20!!! (In comments)! Anyways I was rewatching an old video about 5-6 months ago you used a glass cannon sprite dragon deck with 16 lands. I’ve been playing a bit with that, and was wondering if you could do a reboot of that deck using Birgi, god of storytelling! I’ve been trying it out and you can get some insane 30-40+ damage combos out on turn 4 or 5, catches the opponent completely off guard!

I usually remember to renew twitch prime with you 1 or 2 days late each month because it won't let me do it early. So, my renewal date keeps moving further and further away from the 15th. I think it is like the 20th now. I don't know if it would be helpful to do the reminders 1 day later each month or if I'm alone on that.

I had the game skip attack phase with Faceless Haven powered up every time I tried to interact with it. Once I tried to give it protection before attack phase, the other I equiped maul on the land, it just skipped to end phase. Weird af.
Speaker definitely not necessary. Seasoned hallowblade when they can't kill it or block it is all you need against a surprising amount of opponents. Super excited to try out Halvar!
Wild idea: what about making this a winota deck? You cut an Alvar, sky mall and and one of each saviour-bounty+ mana fix. This way, you have a more explosive top end, which can pull out hallowblade and even luminarch
Disclaimer: winota is my fav standard card for all the different possibilities/ rules that it imposes and deck building which makes me biased

This monowhite list won the Kaldheim qualifier for a reason, Pro players don't make fool choices, it's better like that without Winota.

For sure this is the most competitive version, and probably the best performing if you are looking to grind

The list that won the Kaldheim Qualifier run 4 Skyclaves Apparition and no sigrid for a reason, pro players don't make fool choices, Sigrid die to the most cheap removals, die to Bonecrusher giant and the opponent get his creature back. Skyclave exile forever the threat and hit anything under 4 cmc.

When I play this deck I never draw more than 1 halvar, never get the hammer, and get t2 ugined half the time.

I believe so but anything after 4 goes to your wildcards
For rare and mythic’s you get 20 and 40 gems for any copy beyond the first 4. For common and uncommon’s they count towards your vault 0.1 and 0.3% respectively. Once you get 100% vault you get 6 wildcards (1 mythic, 2 rare and 3 uncommon). I wish you got wild cards for more that 4 but that would be too generous I guess.

Why Best of One while showcasing a Best of Three winning deck?
because CGB is the ONE in best of one, also when using best of three winning decks CGB usually tune them a little bit to adapt them to the best of one environment, in this case in particular it wasn't necessary

I think people shouldn't be using Sentinel's Eyes as a rogue hate card. It does very little to influence the board; Vigilance is meaningless because Rogues rarely win this matchup by attacking anyways; and the graveyard cleaning is just so hopelessly slow compared to the speed rogues mill you that it's practically irrelevant. If it's worth running anyways then sure, but I just don't think it's nearly effective enough at combatting rogues specifically to merit running it if it's an otherwise sub-optimal card.
It gives double strike with halvar and often makes some attacks possible. Against rogues, it's a recurring, cheap, free cards that allows your creatures go get past the crab and the thought thief.
It's also good in this deck because you can discard it to protect the Hallowblade and always get it back.
