Lots of moving parts on these cats....you certainly don't have to worry about having nothing to do as long as you own this craft. Super interesting to see how it all works.

There is always plenty to maintain. But we hope in the next year to really get everything sorted. We are about eighty percent there... Heidi

Quite different from a VW engine! As always, Franny tackles it with grace!
Fascinating seeing how all this fits together to make a boat move - I'm learning so much!

For Sure!.. It's not an orange VW square back you slap in first and you're off...LOL

It's so cool to see your sailing channel. I saw David Shih wearing one of your shirts in his video last week. I love that he is repping you 2!

When Franny goes in to ask questions about the marine engine they have no idea they are talking with someone who routinely works on Porche and Ferrari cars.... thanks for the video....

Whether you get an exotic car or a boat, always unhidden surprises. I wonder if Heidi was riding the clutch to make it slip? LOL

I don't think I'll ever own a boat but it's interesting to see how it works.

Yes, I agree. It's always a good thing to learn about. It can help you with other things.

So much for hiring someone to inspect your boat before purchase.

Jonathan caught a lot of this. The issue was no cost was relayed.

These expert guys are great and Franny has plenty Porsche experience of fiddly stuff where her patience wins the day
      Great filming
Another job off the top of my do list ❤

The inspection would be analogous to a mechanic looking over a vehicle prior to purchase. He can only report on what he can see and give an overview of what may or may not be the causes of any issues he sees. He doesn’t strip and rebuild anything to check l internal status it’s a quick once over to verify the overall condition.

Graeme, He also missed some very critical items like a bent anchor and a smoked engine alternator wire... oh well...

I found your channel, again since I watched some of the car “stuff” that you did before. I like the change to sailing😊 If you feel up for it I am curious about the survey and the final price you paid for your boat. Did you use the survey finding as a negotiating point when you went back and told the seller that you wanted to mover forward with the purchase? I would imagine that finding faults with something like the windless, clutch, UV protection, etc would be something the seller at least would work with you to remedy?
Also, offer asking price for the boat or did you go lower? Maybe something like 10 to 15% as an opening offer? You of cause don’t need to disclose actual cost, but I am curious about the negotiation that you did.
Look forward to more sailing stuff.

No, we are not going to share costs yet. Yes. We did negotiate as I assume most folks do. However, just like cars and homes, it depends on the market. Heidi

@@HeidiandFrannyThank you. I am not necessarily interested in the price you paid for your boat. That is between you and the seller. I am more curious about the process of arriving at the price you paid.

With boats, it’s always one thing after another. Hope you can fix a lot of it yourselves. Boats are much more expensive to own than Porsches, or houses.

As with cars and houses, they must be maintained. This boat was not.
