Once you explicitly use CST in nodes: S-LOG -> WG....... then WG to REC.709, you don't have to set any kind of things in Project settings either Timeline level nor Project level. First and Last nodes are CST - what is in between ALWAYS will be IN Wide Gamut

Just subscribed!!! I'm just starting out in colour grading and this is super helpful - what picture profile number did you use in camera? -

Truly appreciate your support Thomas! I used PP7 which is Slog2 in sony A7IV, but these picture profile numbers are just a preset, you can change any of them to your liking

Do you have a preference between shooting in HLG3 or SLOG2 on 8-bit cameras? I'm curious to hear your thoughts
Furthermore, do have a preference on picture profiles for low light situations in 8-bit cameras?

If you check the original music video, the B camera is Sony ZV-E10 and it's 8bit shot on Slog2 and you can see that it also has a great quality compared to the main camera which is Sony a7IV and 10 bit, you need to learn how to correctly expose

Thanks for this video. ive seen on youtube many people talking about Slog3 10bit and their footage is not as good as yours. do you prefer shooting with slog2 and 8bit and why? thank you for this educative video.

Truly appreciate your support, thanks for watching! It depends, I use both Slog2 and Slog3 depending on the situation, but my camera a7IV shoots 10bit, So I definitely choose it over 8bit option!
