Hey All, I originally thought this was the 2024 MT-09, however this is a 2023 model. I decided to leave 2024 in the title as they are near enough the same in terms of performance and the riding experience. The only differences are a new control unit on the left handle bar, an upgraded dash, and paint options. Let me know what you think!
There's a whole host of changes to the 2024 model, I'm not being pedantic,I owned the model you're reviewing and the 24 model is improved virtually everywhere. You should change the title 😅
I don’t think I’ve ever seen motorcyclist, laugh and giggle and fall off our bike as much as the MTO nine. But he’s not the only one everybody I know that has one absolutely loves it.
i own a zh2 and a 2023 mt09 (non sp) they're both amazing bikes, i could tell you the mt09 give a hard time to the zh2 in the first 3 gear that says a lot about the cp3 engine dash may be small but it's clear and easier to use it's less plush than the zh2 but a lot lighter and handle better zh2 add the scary factor was ready to swap it for the 2024 gen 4 whitch is even better but it's down on power and less fun than the gen 3
You are testing my exact bike (MT09 SP, Nice! Glad you like it! 😀 Thats a 23 model not the facelifted 24. Also although it affects it, TC is not shared with wheelie control ((LIF) they are actually seperated thanks to a 6 axis IMU gyro which makes it possible, which is really neat. M is the manual drive mode, a mode for all your own TC, LIF, ABS etc settings.
Goblin, What an excellent review and vid! Just straight to the point with everything! You blow me away, I wish I could work with you on a review of our portable air pump.
I was watching 3 cyl bike videos yesterday. Today youtube recommended me this one and it's a fresh video! Algorithm on your side! Waiting on that R9. Even tho Daytonas do be nice
I tried the XSR900 from Staverton's Completely, and while the engine (same as the MT09) was brill, I found the rear shock lacking, making the seat feel a bit hard. If there had been an XSR900-SP I would have bought it immediately. Instead I bought a Triumph Scrambler 1200 with Ohlins all round - very comfy. As you are in the same neck of the woods as I, if you see me around on the Triumph (or my red Ducati 748) gimme a wave.
congrats on the yamaha review . can you do a 150/200cc and ninja 300 and 302cc single thumper & the essential 350/650 RE. ty. give these to the mrs for input too
Hey Goblin, try the quick shifter next time for your 0-60 times 💪. Thoroughly enjoy your videos. It's advice from vloggers like you that help us make better choices on the streets and selecting bikes✌️
Ive just bought a Tracer 9 GT + its fantastic!!!! always had GS's but don't like the looks of the new 1300 and as i'm getting on a bit so wanted a middleweight and wow!! that engine and tech including radar cruise !
You can set up a custom mode in the menu. The traction control (tcs) is totally separate to the wheelie control(Lif), I'd have mine set on 3 with 4 being max an it would still wheelie though😂
Test rode the MT09 stock and its a great bike but chose the Triumph Street triple 765 which personally for me was a better choice and that replaced the mighty MT10! Cheers Goblin
I love the Yamaha not ridden one but just by comments I’ve heard they must be good I haven’t seen anybody demo one and not like it and I’ve also been told that for everyday riding they are better than the mt10 but I always prefer 4 cylinder’s especially Yamaha with the cross plane engine I think that’s best sounding engine ever so I’d go for MT10SP that be a beautiful bike but I won’t get rid of my rocket for anything but mt10 would be nice in the stable hope you could get a long termed one of those ride safe
I have a 2023 base. I absolutely hate the gold forks. Looks ass. Not subjectively either. They simply do not fit any colorway. Not even the only one they came out with.

Frenos brembo,arranque sin llave ,etc
No, main difference is new seating position, lower handlebars etc.

No it’s not 😂. Quit lying to yourself.
Stick to your day job

You should hear the Racefit exhaust on my MT09 SP, insane!

I love the yamaha naked bikes and your description of the bikes being 'fun' is right on point. I love my mt07 which I think compliments my zx14.
Female rider, bought one, beyond my expectations 😮❤
I couldn’t agree more! Got my SP a week ago and absolutely love it!!! I was surprised how easy it was to ride
In comparison to the ZH2, how does it perform in terms of handling and comfort?
Handling - MT09 SP, its a lighter, stiffer Sports naked.
Comfort - ZH2 and double that if its the SE version.
Don't think I've heard a motovlogger enjoy a bike so much! Great review!
