SERIOUSLY!!!! the action . ouuugdgchgghvhhcvvvv this is one for the inspiration playlist there's so many things about this animation that get better on rewatch, like stanley tossing the door knob at the camera at 1:33 just as an example
The camera turning around the character as they run; the sync on dodging over, under and through obstacles; the rapid yet carefully placed layering of multiple cut-ins; both main character's emotional reflections being framed in various items; the incredible and seemless zoom from character to camera lens as that doorknob is thrown; the change from fully coloured to unstable linework and back into a fully coloured BAM frame _my GOD!!_ And yet it's this simple moment at 1:38 that gets me. Run Cycle > Camera Rotation > Split Screen Focus of Face and Feet > Breaking through the Split Screen on the Turn _while Syncing with the Music_ AND the Character Overlaps The Cinematic Border in a way that's dramatic, visually pleasing and an indication of a symbolic turning point in the character's mindset/intentions!!! This is probably one of the best animations I've seen in recent years. Everything from the dynamic shots to the character design is incredible. There's only one time reset here, but you can feel the dozens behind it. That's hard to pull of, incredible work!
i love how you tell a story in such a short video, mainly at around 1:03 where after the guy gets stabbed, he sees and remembers multiple things to help him during the loop, like the cameras facing him directing the tube things and the exit behind him. he uses the knowledge he gained to destroy the cameras, and take a sudden turn backwards to catch the "mastermind" off guard. amazing work!
after he dies, he looks at a camera and then picks up a book, then it cuts to cameras going offline, implying he threw the book at the camera he looked at
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR ?? The dynamic angles and movements, there's so much energy in every moment and it really syncs up well with the vibe of the song. The story's given and it's so hype. This is REALLY AMAZING
THIS IS SO SICK IM GOING TO BE REWATCHING THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN like frame by frame seriously the way you animate smears specifically and the entire fight choreography is something that I need to study.
OHHH MY GOD??? STANLEY PARABLE INSPIRED???? I genuinely cannot name the emotions I’m feeling rn. Absolutely buzzing with excitement, Stanley Parable is my hyperfixation right now!!! And a SAD-IST ANIMATION INSPIRED BY IT??? My life is going to be COMPLETE in 23 hours
Post-Premiere Update: THIS IS??? SO COOL??? I’M ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS. I THINK IM GONNA WATCH THIS FOR THE REST OF EVER. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS MASTERPIECE!!!
the way yellow is in an area that mainly uses hard black and yellow, as opposed to blue's more blue dominant palette, making yellow's scenes look harsher! and how red only shows up when blue is injured, or when the pocket watch is damaged! it's so cool!! and that's just in the color! i actually watched parts of the animation frame by frame and like, the way the scribbley color outlines are consistent throughout the animation is so cool! this animation is so eye candy, i wanna eat it. (edit: changed the names as i think, since this is labelled as original and the second video deviates so much from the inspiration's canon, the characters ought to be acknowledged outside of their inspiration unless SAD-ist decides for sure that it's an au. just gonna use their dominating color as their names for now)
I don't want to be rude, but there is red on the "EXIT" sign, but that makes it cooler. It make it so it like the opposite of the direction they where spouse to escape.
This is so wildly unique from the Stanley Parable. The similarity is just that theres someone working in an office, and the boss is a bad guy. It is so especially original. Also, *thats how writing works*, everything's an inspiration and its great since it means writing isn't a lonely vaccum.
Mm, yeah, I think it's safe to say that Clock Out has more than enough unique material to be divorced from the Stanley Parable setting. Man this is a ride!
@@Whathefox. I mean this setting has the narrator be the villain (that would have his own redemption arc next video) and Stanley be like this action hero
Me, seeing yellow and an office building with a generic office man: “Stanley is that you?” Man in glasses is revealed: “THE NARRATOR WHAT-“ After checking description: “YEAHHHHHH-“ God, I just, cannot get over all the expression and how fluid everything is. The transitions, the way the camera pans around… do people even understand how hard it is to get complicated movement such as this? AND IN FULL COLOR TOO!!
Right? I’d thought about commenting “This is the story of a man named Stanley” but I was worried I was just reading into it. Then I saw your comment and read the description. 😅
The use of different "panels" flying on the screen with visual sound effects makes this feel like a moving comic, similar to the likes of Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse, and its awesome. Love this sm.
Yesssss! This style is soooo satisfying and adds so much emotion in a way that makes it both more exaggerated and extreme to look at and also makes it easier to understand what's happening. AND INTO THE SPIDERVERSE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL I WAS IN LOVE AND IM IN LOVE WITH THIS TOO AHH
YOOO!!! THIS IS SICK! I've always loved the concept of losing, learning, and trying again in animations! It's so satisfying seeing the character finally get to the end after we've seen the losses and risks they take to get to the end. lovely animation!
Commenting to boost the algorithm! I really appreciate the VHS filter during the pre-chorus. I like that it reflects the bitcrush sfx that the vocals have, and turns it into vhs.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE. When I heard Snakes start playing I about had a heart attack. I know nothing about this story but you made everything so crisp, clear, and easy to understand without a character even saying a word. That is incredible. Speaking of Snakes, if you haven't watched Arcane yet, I highly recommend it. The writing is amazing. Snakes is one of many bangers that come from that show!
This is. The embodiment of that one particular aesthetic that I cannot help but lose my mind over. Massive Stanley parable, Portal, and even Severance vibes from this one. FanTASTIC work!
THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY STELLAR!! The art style, the fluid animation, the plot, the character designs, EVERYTHING in this video is just- WOW! No words, only amazement! ✨️
This feels like a Spiderverse-level animation, especially with the “CLANK!” onomatopoeia when Stanley uses the pipe to block the door at 0:55! Damn masterpiece
@@emerson4140 Onomatopoeia is for when somebody writes the sound of something (I hope I’m explaining this right) for example, if a alarm clock if going off, you can right “BEEP! BEEP! Went the alarm clock.” Or something along the lines of that. I’m not good at explaining stuff sorry
Now that I've played The Stanely Parable your work is 10x MORE IMPRESSIVE JESUS CHRIST. Going from THAT.....to designing BOTH characters..... to the creativity of having Stanely actually try to escape..... to the storyboarding of the fight scenes and just making the story in general....... and then, of course, your animation is phenomenal. On the first (like 20) watches I appreciated your animation, but now I'm starting to realize just how much of a creative process this whole thing was, every little part of it, it's actually insane. Like, the amount of time you must have put in to this. It's so much more incredible and intricate than I ever thought. Like, you didn't just find a game you liked and animated it, you did so much more than that. Thank you.
This was absolute blast! The fighting animation couldn't be better and the colors are sooo good looking! I love the dark part when we only see the outlines of the characters. And overally - this is breath taking. You've always been one of the greatest artists out there and your animations are always gold. You're inspiration to many. Keep this great work up! This was amazing!
Can’t not come back and watch this once every, at max, two weeks. And by ‘once’ I mean replay it for an hour or two as I daydream other exotic parkour-style sequences. In short, this is sick.
Sad ist once again you have slayed so hard, I had to slow it to 0.50x speed to replay and admire how dynamic and intense those compositions and movements are!! 🤩💚 also Im loving the blue/yellow complimentary color palette!
SAD-ist is literally out here being an inspo for new animators just by being cool asf. This animation sparked my motivation to get back into digital art 😭✋
Sadist’s animations are always so cool and awesome, and she works so hard to get the quality and effects to be perfect. Honestly im a little disappointed in TH-cam and its viewers for only giving Sadist 2M subs. She and her crew deserve more
as someone who has tried to animate plenty of times, i cannot imagine how much work must have gone into this. it's in full color, with fluid animation and beautiful action/fight scenes. this is incredible, truly
Okay, so, I love this. This is not an insult at all. I just wanted to say that this is BIZARRE. As a joke, I've been listening to animatics with differents songs over them--weird songs, because it's usually really fun. This fits almost PERFECTLY over the Bill Nye the Science Guy remix on Spotify by Microdragon. PERFECTLY. Like, the beats line up. I know I seem insane. But give it a shot. Join me.
WHAT? Sadist your animations have always been insanely well done and have always blown my mind with their detail. This was beautiful, the fight scene was original and breathtaking, and the character movements were just jaw dropping. Flawless, never stop.
I can see the stanely parable inspiration but god damn, this is absolutely beautiful in the way you took it in your own direction. Your animation's are alway a joy to watch and seeing what you do is nothing short of breathtaking
HOLY FUCK??? THE ACTION SCENES AND MOVEMENTS ARE SO DYNAMIC BUT THEY STILL FEEL SO REAL!!! not to mention that your transitions, expressions, and coloring are absolutely gorgeous! every animation you make is so awesome and fluid - you’re such an inspiration! :D
THIS HAD ME SO INVESTED!! The animation was phenomenal as always and the story had me so invested! I ADORE the way you handle fight scenes, there was so much interesting movement and you used the environment as a part of the scene which I LOVEEEEE!!!! There was a lot going on, but it never got overwhelming or unnecessary. The battle sections had just the right amount of build up and down time as well as the actual action time! This is probably one of my favorite animations from you, hands down!
I absolutely adore the visual of when stanley slips on the pipe and it focuses on the clock as it hits the floor. That, and fhe clock freaking out from the damage. Adore i
OH MY GOSH, THE MOVEMENT, THE COLOR, THE STORY LINE I WAS SO INTRIGUED!!! The shadow falling over his face when he becomes suspicious The swinging through the monitors The yellow running through the walls before the doors open wide The action and movement as he is running away The expressions Him grabbing the book before the monitors glitch out The things being thrown almost at the older dudes face because of the reflection The guy turning back to the window when he notices the exit is not an option The dark glitching going with the music SAD-IST YOU FREAKING GENIUS YOU DID IT AGAIN
I’m so happy you’re expanding from dreamsmp animatics and don’t feel to tied down by the community. Your work is so freaking cool omg I love it!!! Keep doing what you do best
Kinda sad to see your original animations getting so little views compared to your DSMP animatics. Keep up the good work! I'm sure it'll pay off someday
Oh dude believe me its just the first day, her original works are going real strong, its actually got a really decent surge of views every single day its out. Believe me or not, nearly halfmil views in just less than 40 hours is rlly impressive especially for a original content
I didn't know anyone else had seen or heard of Vector. Also, this is VERY original and unique. The animation is almost in sync with the music, either that or it's the music just driving the animation further. It's hard to tell. But this is the perfect example of non-verbal storytelling, using not just the setting and the characters but how the characters interact with each other and we can actually tell what their goals are without saying anything. (Spoiler alert: I might make a video essay on this soon)
Seeing an animation inspired by tsp and Vector bring joy to my heart. Vector isn't that much talked about and is an AMAZING parkour game for mobile. Thank you SAD-ist
I keep coming back to this. I'm obsessed with The Stanley Parable, and seeing such a cool and well-animated video heavily inspired from it set to a song from Arcane, along with Portal and Vector vibes, is an absolute treat. It's so dynamic and there's also something really satisfying about that punch, lmao. This is amazing work, you really bring the quality! EDIT: I rewatched it again and realized I forgot to mention. The expressions and how you animate the characters really brings them to life, I love the personality and attention you pay to them.

This is probably one of the best animations I've seen in recent years. Everything from the dynamic shots to the character design is incredible. There's only one time reset here, but you can feel the dozens behind it. That's hard to pull of, incredible work!
My gosh you’re right, I’ve enjoyed this more than a solid few Disney movies
HOLY SHIT DIMS????? DIDNT EXPECT TO SEE YOU HERE
MY GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! THE ACTION, THE FIGHT SCENE WITH THE ACTION WORD, THE SWITCH TO SKETCH ANIMATION, ITS ALL JUST SO SICK
i love how you tell a story in such a short video, mainly at around 1:03 where after the guy gets stabbed, he sees and remembers multiple things to help him during the loop, like the cameras facing him directing the tube things and the exit behind him. he uses the knowledge he gained to destroy the cameras, and take a sudden turn backwards to catch the "mastermind" off guard. amazing work!
I can’t believe I didn’t realize all the detail! I never really saw how he destroyed the cameras by flinging his mug and the doorknob
i also like how he could get the boss because almost all of the walls was used to block the exit
after he dies, he looks at a camera and then picks up a book, then it cuts to cameras going offline, implying he threw the book at the camera he looked at
This is like that game called Vector
@@Carborator1072 check the description of the video
Edit's of this got me to check out what Stanley Parable was and well now I have a new obsession
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR ?? The dynamic angles and movements, there's so much energy in every moment and it really syncs up well with the vibe of the song. The story's given and it's so hype. This is REALLY AMAZING
I love the concept of Stanley trying to scape his office limbo in action style
THIS IS SO SICK IM GOING TO BE REWATCHING THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN like frame by frame seriously the way you animate smears specifically and the entire fight choreography is something that I need to study.
SAME HERE THIS IS SUCH AMAZING ANIMATION!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!!
SAME IM SO ADDICTED TO IT!!!
Remembered this animation 2 years later because of Arcane season 2, such a masterpiece
RIGHT, i always comeback whenever this starts blasting on my playlist
I was like "I swear I remember this from saddist" ahhh I love this song so muchhhhh
EXACTLY IM LITERALLY VIBRATING RN ITS SO CRAZY 573(&(3(‘dkfm
LITERALLY SAME AHAHA I ADORE THE STANLEY PARABLE SO MUCH THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY OMG
the way yellow is in an area that mainly uses hard black and yellow, as opposed to blue's more blue dominant palette, making yellow's scenes look harsher! and how red only shows up when blue is injured, or when the pocket watch is damaged! it's so cool!! and that's just in the color! i actually watched parts of the animation frame by frame and like, the way the scribbley color outlines are consistent throughout the animation is so cool! this animation is so eye candy, i wanna eat it.
I think SAD-ist acknowledged that Clock 0ut is an AU of Stanley Parable in the lastest video's description
DUUUUDE THE ANIMATION SYNC AND CHOREO ON THIS IS INSANE! SADIST DOES NOT MISS!!
I love the “BAM!” Sound effect matched with the punching. Rlly gives comic book animation vibes which I LOVE.
This is so wildly unique from the Stanley Parable. The similarity is just that theres someone working in an office, and the boss is a bad guy. It is so especially original.
Also, *thats how writing works*, everything's an inspiration and its great since it means writing isn't a lonely vaccum.
i literally didn't know it was a Stanley parable homage lmao
Mm, yeah, I think it's safe to say that Clock Out has more than enough unique material to be divorced from the Stanley Parable setting.
Man this is a ride!
Hope this becomes its own series!
@@haka5630 In the most literal sense, it already is. :D
I think they are in the same universe but different setting imo.
I like both of them way to much
@@Whathefox. I mean this setting has the narrator be the villain (that would have his own redemption arc next video) and Stanley be like this action hero
The narrator is divorce
As someone who absolutely loves the Stanley Parable it's SO COOL seeing an animation based off it! I'm so happy :) Fantastic work!
ok
Same! absolutely in love with this animation!
Me, seeing yellow and an office building with a generic office man: “Stanley is that you?”
Man in glasses is revealed: “THE NARRATOR WHAT-“
After checking description: “YEAHHHHHH-“
God, I just, cannot get over all the expression and how fluid everything is. The transitions, the way the camera pans around… do people even understand how hard it is to get complicated movement such as this?
AND IN FULL COLOR TOO!!
Same dude-
Fr after seeing the thumbnail Stanley popped up in my mind lol
Omg how did I not realize this sooner
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought this! I absolutely LOVE it when animations incorporate traditional comic-style elements!
The way the clock fell and the camera angle change is so cinematic, she could make a whole movie
@@Zarmdthecoolest yeah netflix has it or atleast it does in the UK
Each frame I see is probably something I would spend like 10 hours on, it’s incredible how you put so much force into your animations
“Stanley, it was always a parkour game!”
This is. The embodiment of that one particular aesthetic that I cannot help but lose my mind over. Massive Stanley parable, Portal, and even Severance vibes from this one. FanTASTIC work!
And god do I love portal
It also reminds me of superliminal
@@Mintgelatin omg YES
I call it office dystopia
THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY STELLAR!!
The art style, the fluid animation, the plot, the character designs, EVERYTHING in this video is just- WOW!
No words, only amazement! ✨️
This feels like a Spiderverse-level animation, especially with the “CLANK!” onomatopoeia when Stanley uses the pipe to block the door at 0:55! Damn masterpiece
Onomato-whatnow 😀
@@emerson4140 Onomatopoeia is for when somebody writes the sound of something (I hope I’m explaining this right) for example, if a alarm clock if going off, you can right “BEEP! BEEP! Went the alarm clock.” Or something along the lines of that. I’m not good at explaining stuff sorry
And how it syncs up with the music too my god this shit is so cool
and the "BAM" at 2:16 too
As well as ‘crack’!!!
Thank you.
Your animations convey more intensity then any action movie I've seen
This was AMAZING!
Great video

Very good.
Great website.
This is very good
This was absolute blast!
The thing they do with the eyes contract when a character is panicking or something similar literally never gets old
Sad ist once again you have slayed so hard, I had to slow it to 0.50x speed to replay and admire how dynamic and intense those compositions and movements are!! 🤩💚 also Im loving the blue/yellow complimentary color palette!
Ohh! I’m gonna try that.
Is it even a Sad ist animation if you didn’t rewatch it on 0.5 speed
SAD-ist is literally out here being an inspo for new animators just by being cool asf. This animation sparked my motivation to get back into digital art 😭✋

Sadist’s animations are always so cool and awesome, and she works so hard to get the quality and effects to be perfect. Honestly im a little disappointed in TH-cam and its viewers for only giving Sadist 2M subs. She and her crew deserve more
Pretty sure she does all the animations by herself which is v impressive
Sadist: "But how do I make a dead end desk office job an interesting?"
Sadist's neurons: "yes."
I'm not gonna lie at 0:45 he smiles, like he's thinking *YES IM GETTING AWAY* and I just love everything about this
as someone who has tried to animate plenty of times, i cannot imagine how much work must have gone into this. it's in full color, with fluid animation and beautiful action/fight scenes. this is incredible, truly
THIS. EXACTLY THIS.
I can see the stanely parable inspiration but god damn, this is absolutely beautiful in the way you took it in your own direction. Your animation's are alway a joy to watch and seeing what you do is nothing short of breathtaking
Is it weird that my favorite part of the whole thing is the fluidness of the tie? I have never seen something look so natural in animation before!
I was looking for this comment!! It looks so realistic the way it moves around-
I watched the whole thing just to stare at the tie
This is me but also with sad-ist's rolling android animation featuring my favourite android Connor
I’m gonna have to watch the tie for the entire video once I restart this again.
@@bethmaggie4114 Exactly what I did lmao. Replayed it like two or three times just staring at the tie

THIS IS ASTOUNDING. Your animations never fail to inspire me
This needs to be a video game/show/full-length movie.
Yo that analysis was spot on, good eye! I didn't even notice half of those things sad-ist snuck in there p_p
I’m just surprised how much you improved over the years. You are an outstanding artist/animator
I think we can agree this is Stanley parable on steroids.
I will forever be amazed at the quality of these animations
ok
I absolutely adore the visual of when stanley slips on the pipe and it focuses on the clock as it hits the floor. That, and fhe clock freaking out from the damage. Adore i
I haven’t been able to stop replaying this! This is more than deserved for such hard work.
ok
OH MY GOSH, THE MOVEMENT, THE COLOR, THE STORY LINE I WAS SO INTRIGUED!!!
The shadow falling over his face when he becomes suspicious
The swinging through the monitors
The yellow running through the walls before the doors open wide
The action and movement as he is running away
The expressions
Him grabbing the book before the monitors glitch out
The things being thrown almost at the older dudes face because of the reflection
The guy turning back to the window when he notices the exit is not an option
The dark glitching going with the music
SAD-IST YOU FREAKING GENIUS YOU DID IT AGAIN
I can't stop rewatching it, i just sometimes sit here and like "oh, i want to see it one more time"
i heard this well watching arcane and i thought of this animation
Same!
As someone who's a speedrunner for The Stanley Parable, I'm so happy that you were so inspired by this awesome game.
this animation gave me goosebumps. this is the ultimate “imagined fake scenario” while listening to a badass song like this.
I’m so happy you’re expanding from dreamsmp animatics and don’t feel to tied down by the community. Your work is so freaking cool omg I love it!!! Keep doing what you do best
2:16 the punch felt personal
It was lol
Dude the way the “camera” follows the action makes this so fun to watch. Film makers, take notes, cause this is how you make a good action scene.
Kinda sad to see your original animations getting so little views compared to your DSMP animatics. Keep up the good work! I'm sure it'll pay off someday
Oh dude believe me its just the first day, her original works are going real strong, its actually got a really decent surge of views every single day its out. Believe me or not, nearly halfmil views in just less than 40 hours is rlly impressive especially for a original content
i just can't handle how bloody smooth your animations are, like, girl how are you this good?

HOW? 2 MILLION ISNT A SMALL NUMBER
Vector 1 and 2 are some of my absolute favorites, so it was crazy to see them referenced here!

I keep coming back to this.
