Sharon High School (the inside scoop)

This Sharon high school was built in 1956. The first class graduated in 1958. The video was taken on the last day of school (June 22nd, 2022).
It is just a quick view of the interior of the building. I hope it will bring nice memories in many of you.
As you can see the preparation for the move to the new building are in progress. The new high school should open in Fall 2022.

OK I went there before there was a second story...even that looks "new". Remember when the joke was "where are the stairs & the pool" LOL

Reason it was demolished? Still looked in fine shape!

Reporting the cost of extensive repairs would be more costly than demolition and building a new school. Personally, there is something to be said for maintaining history.

If you had to go to school there I think you would understand. The hallways were exceedingly crowded, facilities were aged, and it was time for an upgrade. The new building is much more preferred by the students, including me, and we find everything to be more agreeable except the lunches.
