The world needs to turn Yogi to understand these texts. but these texts cannot be understood or utilised for daily use. This is life itself and existence...Karma and the circle of life and birth plays a very important part
I wonder, is there a moment when atman (the observing eye) says to aham (the eating eye, right?) that, "listen, aham, my friend, you have done something very, very wrong....unpardonable..."?
Ardor is simply speculating and does not have any real Vedic knowledge as he has not learned from a guru but instead studies the vedas as a person who studied the bottle of honey but does not open it. mental pontification helps noone. Truth is simple - intellectual people have a seva to translate the simple non-dual truth given straightforwardly in the veda into individual applications. Krsna/Visnu/Narayana is the summum bonum and the conclusion of the veda - vasudeva sarvam iti - sa mahatma sudurlabha. The vedas speak striaght-forwardly and many intellectuals interpret and pontificate it into phantasmagoria - infinite mental complexity which goes in every direction except the simple singular direction the veda points to - Seva to Sri Krsna
did you read "Ardor"? If you did it you would recognize that it is much less intellectual than you may think. Maybe it is Calasso's own way to practice "Tapas" and share the result with us.
@@MrMikkyn i am not a Gaudiya Vaisnava. That seems to be an slander attack - drawing a derisive mental picture of me so that my words need not be considered on their own merit. This only reveals that the attitude from which you spoke this was defending something not directly asserted here. It also reveals you are not agreeing to address what i have said on its own merit. Jaya Sri Krsna!
This is like saying that since I don’t understand complex things , those must be false. First you need to answer if you have read the book. Otherwise it’s Vaishnava propaganda
@@jarinwallah why is it propaganda if I haven't read the book? False premise. And secondly why vaishnava propaganda? Vishnu simply means the all-pervasive one.
Gracias. Esos maestros sí saben.
If only all Indians had the same passion and knowledge of the Vedas like Calasso
And Devdutt!
love the shine and passion in the eyes of Devdutt P while he's explaining the details to the audience!
He is just another wendy doniger's child. His motive is to distort and dilute sanathana dharma so that it affects the majority culture.

I'm a BIG fan of calasso
Absolutely brilliant conversations between enlightened minds!
Lol Devdutt is rabid Casteist, Misogynist and a Pathological Hindu Hating liar
RIP Roberto calasso 🙏
Very very Interesting Insightful and Informative session ❤❤❤

At 29:00 what is the upanishad which he recommends? The metaphysics of what the gestures mean. Abrachmanas?

The origin of guilt, perhaps
I love Devdutt but this discussion was boring. And DP seemed to want to talk more than RC. Was DP the facilitator or ........??
Yes, DP is an idiot.
Devdutt just ruined this beautiful interview. He should learn how to digest knowledge
