Having these feelings and emotions definitely validates that you are MORE than meant for this job and life as a teacher! You have a heart of gold and you will get through this..your kiddos will still be with you. Sending you all the love, support, and prayers girl!!
I don’t understand why your principal would allow more exposure by having you teach for a full day after you’ve been exposed... I’m so sorry you’re upset. This is all crazy
Virtual teacher here. Second monitor is LIFE CHANGING- you can pull up your meeting and see all the kiddos faces- and still talk into your school computer with the camera. Ask if your district has Nearpod, those are LIFE CHANGING! Have simple plans, and really plan for small groups- don’t try and do too much the first day, just getting them used to it. It’ll be okay! I’ve done this for 16 weeks, it will be okay!
I am so sorry. I are such a good teacher and inspire me so much! I know that this is really hard because no teacher wants to be away from their students when you love them so much! You are definitely not alone!
During this time, it's just the best for our safety to go online even though as teachers, we might not like it. But girl we're all in this together! We got this! I'm a teacher as well and online teaching is not easy but we can do it! I'm teaching high school english which is a little different than what you're doing but I'm here for you!
Your kiddos must know how much you love them because we can see it through little snippets of your day and they get to be with you 8 hours a day! It’ll all workout. Love seeing the little miracles working even when we have no idea like being prepped so far in advance. Good luck!! 🍀
Love your heart. I’m so sad for you. This really speaks volumes on how much you love your students and how much you love teaching. I hope everything goes as smooth as possible for you as well as your students. Hang in there. ❤️
I ran across you like 3 weeks ago and although I’m much older and still 3 semesters shy of graduation, I will be teaching HS English in Texas, you are such bright light! Your passion and literal sweetheart inspires me! Hang in there and you’re right it has to be a God thing. Praying for a smooth but temporary transition ♥️
This is really strange. When a student/teacher at our school tests positive, everyone gets notified immediately. Teachers are told if it’s their student and who the student is. Then the CDC calls everyone who was within 6 feet for more than 15 mins (because they’re considered exposed). We quarantine for three days, get tested, once it’s negative, we return. I’d never be allowed on campus if exposed!!
i’m not a teacher but i work with kids afterschool and we got exposed last week and had to close down until after winter break so i feel you about having to cancel everything planned it’s so sad.
Bailey. I just found you~ I graduate on the 12th and I got a job where my internship was. And I understand. The love we have for these kiddos is unconditional. I can't imagine the frustration, pain, and anxiety you felt around not being able to tell the sweet beans what was going on- so props to you for composing yourself and being amazing
I’ve been virtual for the entire school year and it just broke my heart when you started crying. I’m a first year teacher too! That first class is so special. Sending you strength to get through this. ❤️
Omg, you crying makes me cry!! Ugh, I feel so sad for all the kids, teachers, parents, everyone involved. The inconsistency sucks, but yes safety first. You are a strong and caring teacher!!
What you could do is go to the store get the stuff you would normally get for a whole class Christmas party but buy them separately put them in a bag and bring them to the house as it on a Google meet do a Christmas party
Wow that’s weird that parents aren’t notified over the weekend that their kids were exposed already at school and then they get sent back to school again to be exposed without knowing?
I was shocked too when I heard that! I know Bailey is just following their protocol but damn... knowingly being exposed but still being told to come into school. AND not informing the children immediately upon knowing because you're totally right! They could have been visiting their grandparents or new baby cousin :/
And they exposed their specials teacher!!! As a music teacher I would be so upset if I found out I had been exposed to an entire class of kids who were a close contact. Unacceptable!
I just want to say thank you for including the reality of crying at school during this crazy crazy time. I appreciate the real ness!!! You’re so great and I love watching your videos!! I am a 4th year kinder teacher and you’re doing amazing!
I just wanted to let you know you are an AMAZING STRONG and great teacher! Stay strong through this I know you can do online!! You are so strong and will make it through online learning! I love your videos!!💗
I'm hoping to start school in the fall to become a teacher. Finding your vlogs has really given me a good insight of what I can expect the first year could be like. Thank you for sharing!
You got this Bailey! At my school we have to check in on an app that asks about certain symptoms and if we’re flagged we have to self isolate for 2 weeks even if we test negative. And if a certain classroom is exposed everyone in that class is sent home, but we have less than 10 days left!
You are such a great teacher! You care about your kids so much it’s proof you’re an amazing teacher! You crying over your kids and it’s so incredible how much you love them and how much you will miss them! You’re seriously a fabulous teacher!❤️😘❤️
Aww sweet Bailey. I’m so sorry this happened. My son’s class in FL just had an exposure and we will be virtual for the next however many days. Ugh. Thank you for explaining the process. Makes so much more sense!
aw bailey im so sorry. i know that you'll be able to work through it. if you need any tips and tricks just ask! we are all here to help and give you some information to make this transition easier 💖
I’ve been doing remote learning since August 24 which was my firsts yr of 5th Grade and my school goes from early childhood to 5th grade so I won’t be able to see my teacher after this yr fingers crossed I will go to school to see my teacher
+bailey It's a revolving theme this year . A LOT OF TEACHERS in this country of ours are having to do what you are doing . Trust me , you are not the only one . Back when I was an autistic SPED school student , My Favorite Person was a cartoon character or a wrestler . Today's kids favorite happens to be their teacher . You miss your students and I bet that they are missing you too . In short , as long as you have that good relationship with your students don't worry about anything else in the end because everything else will work itself out in the end or at the very least the end of this school year . Keep your head up and keep handling it like a champ and you will have a testimony for the teachers of the future that not many teachers will have . - Dwight
I'm so sorry this has been so challenging for you and your kiddos! You'll do great no matter what! I find it interesting that your kids didn't have any idea what was happening. My Grade 3s would have immediately been like "we've been exposed! They're sending us home!"
Oh no! I know that you'll be able to work through it. If you need any tips and tricks just ask! We are all here to help and give you some information to make this transition easier 💖 My district just changed to remote, too😭
aw I am so sorry this is happening to you! I am in university right now to be an elementary school teacher & watching your videos just makes me so pumped to teach one day!! also wow that truly was God working in your life when you just so happened to have everything ready to go for them, thats so freaking awesome! (p.s. you should do an earring collection video because all of your earrings are so dang cute i wanna know where they are all from!:)
Teacher here, I feel your pain it is so hard to not be able to explain to them what’s going on, why things are happening the way they are. It’s been a tough year to teach and I love my students and I teach preschool so unfortunately we can’t send them home with things to do. You form bonds with these children and they become part of your life and it’s hard.
My class was exposed just before Christmas break - so our Christmas got ruined, too. Teaching in a pandemic is hard. Feel your feelings because they are valid, but also know you are not alone & we will make it through this!
We had a positive case over the weekend and we immediately shut the class down. We were able to contact Public Health at the weekend. We are in the UK so I don’t know if that’s different. Scary how the class could’ve spread it at school though! I hope you all stay safe.
My sister in law is a second grade teacher and I have seen her go through the same things you are going through. I’m so sorry this is happening to you! Praying next school year will be better :)
As someone from Australia I’m so concerned about how covid is being handled in the USA😩over here you CANNOT under any circumstances leave your house until you get your results back as you’ll actually get fined .. it’s concerning that it’s secretive at the school you work at like over here everyone is informed what year level had covid and EVERYONE from that level gets tested and the whole school shuts down so it can get deep cleaned ...dude idk it’s weird to me
Girl you have no idea how much I wish I lived in Australia rn. I would kill to have a government that is actually concerned about this pandemic and people's lives. I wish America would take some tips from you all on how to handle all of this.
My school is the same way if we get a positive COVID case we don’t know who it is what classroom it is.They just call us and then we have to stay home for two week
Your school is open despite having positive cases? I can’t believe it. Also asking you to come into school while waiting for test results? Are they not taking this seriously? And their parents don’t know right away, so shocked
My childrens school is still open with multiple positive results. We closed for 3 days for a "deep cleaning" went back after Thanksgiving break and boom more positive results. We've had to close on a Wednesday because there wasnt enough staff for the students. We're also not aware of our children have been directly exposed because if confidential issues. It's all absolutely crazy. We've decided to pull out of face to face because it feels like it isnt being taken seriously.
@@mariaharcher-vanhemert1018 wow that is horrible and so stressful! I live on the other side of the world but feel sorry for you guys in the US with COVID and how it’s handled 😮
The one kid is allowed to come because he wasn't exposed, but he will be in a classroom with you and you have been exposed, so now he will be exposed? Your school and district really need to get it together.
I’m a second year 6th grade teacher in Oregon. We’ve been virtual this entire time and it has been SO HARD. I nearly broke down yesterday because of how much my heart hurts for these kids. I tell my kids everyday that even their teacher is struggling during this and that adults aren’t immune to feeling exactly what they’re feeling. Teaching from a distance is so hard, but hopefully when you hold your Google Meets, you’ll get to see their faces and interact with them still. I have to remember that they need structure and consistency and it’s my job to give that to them, but it’s okay to feel sad and a little bit helpless right now. Us teachers need to stick together 💜
When I did the covid test I jammed the swab so far up my nose and didn’t feel anything..at that moment the lady that was directing me and I knew I had covid.
Wait, the kids who were exposed weren't notified immediately? Because it was the weekend? Is that what you meant? Because there is no telling how many places 20ish families went and how many people they came in contact with.
Last semester when I was student teaching I was thinking about the students I student taught and observed last year while the extended spring break. Here is something your students could do is virtual fild trips.
You're crying because this is all so bizarre, stressful, scary, and the constant changes are absolutely exhausting. I give myself 2 min cry breaks when I need them like Jen from Jennuine Teaching did in one of her videos. I feel your feels. All teachers feel your feels, girl.
This is insane. No reason a whole class should be exposed. I’m a senior in high school. When we have a positive case, no one else in the classrooms is exposed. We literally never come within six feet of anyone, and we wear masks. The contact tracing on the buses is done by a physician who is our own pandemic coordinator. She works all hours of everyday.
This just shows how much most teachers love and care about their students
Having these feelings and emotions definitely validates that you are MORE than meant for this job and life as a teacher! You have a heart of gold and you will get through this..your kiddos will still be with you. Sending you all the love, support, and prayers girl!!
I don’t understand why your principal would allow more exposure by having you teach for a full day after you’ve been exposed... I’m so sorry you’re upset. This is all crazy
it’s a long process and is very complicated...it sucks tho

Never give up bailey! Thank you for being a big inspiration to me! 💕💫

And they exposed their specials teacher!!! As a music teacher I would be so upset if I found out I had been exposed to an entire class of kids who were a close contact. Unacceptable!
I agree! Not only did they potentially expose people over the weekend, but on the bus on Monday too! And their PE teacher!

Bailey, how often did your kids go to the dojo store?
Bless your heart. You're such a good teacher for caring so much. I hate that you were put in this position :(
My school is doing a terrible job of notifying and we are still in person I’ve have got 3 covid test since November 2 we are constantly exposed
Wait, the kids who were exposed weren't notified immediately? Because it was the weekend? Is that what you meant? Because there is no telling how many places 20ish families went and how many people they came in contact with.

“I’m not gonna put much makeup on today” *cakes makeup onto her face for 11 minutes* 🤪
My students got exposed they only had to quarantine for 10 days but the person who had Covid how to quarantine for 14 days
You are so cute 😍😍
I hate have my kids to do homeschool to I its sucks
that makes me so upset that the school didn't notify parents, that just seems like such a horrible idea
Your an Insperation
I can't believe you all had to stay at school that day. It sounds so traumatizing to you and your students :/
and why aren't you supposed to stay home too since your entire class is a close contact. Seems like a way to spread it throughout the school.
My life for the last nine months!
Super confused on why you were exposed but yet your principal asked you to come in without having results back
Like you new video today and you look really beautiful in video
