Used to do BCA Derby vans at 10am, (CMA) Shepshed fleet cars at 11am on a Thursday morning then flirt over to BCA Brum for the last 100 or so cars in the afternoon. Never had much luck at Shepshed or Brum. Won plenty at CMA Huthwaite car sales though.
Hello Jonathan I was always under the impression that the Maxus e deliver vans were good from all the reviews but it looks like you do not think so? I am looking at possibly getting an electric van so would like to know what to go for. A medium size suitable for campervan conversion or even a smaller van fit everyday use. Enjoy you content. Thanks Andy
Hi Andrew , thanks for watching and your comments. The nissan eNV200 40kWh is a good workhorse , and with a chadamo/ ccs adapter any rapid charging is possable , even with a max of 50kW DC charge speed. Other ones to look at are the larger e expert 75kWh vans , lots around.
I agree with @johnbrown , the 75kWh vivaro / peugeot e expert / citreon dispatch are goid for 3 mikes per kWh if driven carefully around town etc. The shape of vans hammers efficiently at 70mph
I use the Peugeot e-expert. 140 - 180 miles (motorway miles) depending on time of year. Yes I use the heating as well!! Mine is almost 3 years old, done 100,000 miles. It’s been brilliant. 62mph is the most efficient speed. 2.2 - 3.0 miles/kwh over the year.
Hi , no just Electric vans. I could look up recently sold values for VW transporter T6.1 but getting the correct spec your looking at is impossible on the BCA recenly sold web page , sorry
@JonathanPorterfield thanks for your reply. If you could let me know a ball park figure for vw t6.1 highline under 60k miles that would be great. Gives me something to go off as my Manheim account doesn't give me sold prices. Thanks so much
What a waste of a lovely van, range of 60 miles empty, I could do more deliveries using a wheelbarrow with a flat tyre covered in concrete in my flipflops with a broken leg, with fat Bob on my back and blindfolded.
Transit was £50k new. It's got 3500 miles on it. Half didn't sell. The ones that did didn't even make CAP average. The prices were a quarter of their new price only 2-4 years ago. EV vans are dead in the water.
Ford had a bonkers asking price when new, yes Ford who have built ICE engines for over 100 years ! Its not rushing to switch over to EVs , its looking for a SLOW transition , so it doesnt go bust !
Yes if you buy used ! Buy any NEW car or van ( of any fuel type) you need a head examination ! Lease if you want new , then see the value at the end of lease , simples !
@@JonathanPorterfield And you seriously think that that will sustain the industry. Are you completely business illiterate. If that is the EV business model companies will go bust very very quickly
Not surprising they're deprecating so much, even new they're being heavily discounted because nobody wants them! In some cases as much as 50% off the RRP😮. But then how many people want a van that has a sub 100 mile range if you use the wipers and heater in winter! Even British gas are going back to ICE now. 😂
@@DwaynePipes I wasn't aware it was a story? I was told by my brother in law who works for them. He says most of their EV vans are parked up in compounds the majority of the time while they use their ICE vehicles instead! Obviously money isn't an object to BG though.
@@Altair885 Oh, OK I had thought that kind of news would have been reported by the Torygraph. All I could find was info on how BG are on track to be all electric!
@@DwaynePipes If it were I wouldn't have read it anyway. T-graph and daily mail aren't my cuppa tea! 😁. Yeah, wouldn't surprise me if they were still buying EVs and not even really using them. For them it would be good PR, at least until they actually have to use them! 😁
Great video pal 👌🏼
Thanks buddy 👍👍😉
Nice to see how much the commercial EVs are going for.
Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching 👀 🙂

What would people recommend for 150mile + real world range commercial van? Doesn't have to be a transit size, but wouldn't mind if it was
75kwh Vivaro could do that range locally, not heavily loaded and not motorway miles due to wind resistance.

Yes just get a diesel van, 4 grand should do it, happy days and you’re welcome glad to be of service.
Do you do any auction videos on regular commercial vans? I'm trying to get an idea of VW transporter T6.1 . Thanks in advance

What is your opinion on the Maxus 3. Was this just a bad example being grade 5 or are they a bit rubbish?
These vans are ridiculously cheap, if they suit your needs.
Ice would be more than double the price, in most cases.
Good time to buy an electric van 👍
@@JonathanPorterfield Maybe if I was delivering polystyrene within a 30 mile radius??😀

@RichardBrooklyn whatever but we all know where EV vans are heading.......... extinction.

I don't imagine they will be able give these away in a few years time
Uh huh. Sure. Whatever you say.
More massive depreciation on EVs. Are you spinning this as a good thing for EVs

Its no simples though because the car companies cant keep making then selling these at a huge loss.
