"all people work off the medial aspect of their foot". ... Translation, all 'domestic' people work off the medial. That's because we're super toed out from shoes! Hence why we as humans have collapsed arches and tight posterior tibial tendons. It is well documented that a humans gait is way more in line with an even break over where footwear isn't as prominent.
Also I think this is awesome and great and educational in terms of horses and smithing.
