    Oh so I just need to exfoliate my scalp! I have been using dandruff shampoo for months but it wasn't working and I was going crazy. Thank you so much!

      Dandruff is basically fungus on your scalp which is why if you don’t have it and then use dandruff shampoo your scalp gets drier

    Great video, straight forward and very clear! Growing up I didn't learn many beauty routines beyond: shampoo, conditioner, soap. So now that I feel comfortable with my skin care routine, I am tackling my hair. It is thick, fine, and I get the greasy itchy waxy scalp often. Looking forward to getting my scalp healthy so that I can let my hair loose and feel confident about it :D

    So glad to see another youtuber into beauty and self care that is of the same ethnicity! Been wanting to try a scalp scrub due to my oily roots yet dry and itchy scalp. Btw, I heard a lot of bad things about devacurl, wouldnt want to see your hair get ruined by it!

    You should definitely use a hydrating shampoo after the scalp scrub and/or use a dry scalp leave in so it has moisture. It's like shaving, you exfoliate then moisture after, same goes for your scalp

    Hi! So I have 2a-2c wavy hair and I just started doing the wavy girl method. But I'm finding it hard to transition from 2a to 2c without getting a bunch of frizz and knots after like the 1st/2nd day :( any recommendations ?

    • @destielsimpala7738

      You probably need more moisture in your hair routine. This can be done by doing deep conditioning treatments more often or using more moisture heavy styling products.

      what I do is I basically just “re-do” my hair. After the 3rd day my waves/curls won’t look at voluminous and will look more frizzy so I wet my hair with a spray bottle and comb it out and then put products in (leave in conditioner, oil, frizz tamer, and gel)

    Have never seen this done before. I don’t have a dry scalp and do use a clarifying shampoo about every 10 days. A tip told to me by a hairdresser, with dry scalp adding some sea breeze to shampoo in the palm of your hand occasionally. Whenever I did have dandruff a long time ago it got rid of it although it’s a bit harsh/drying. I’d follow up with it’s a ten hair mask which is fantastic.(warning though, if this mixture gets in the eyes it BURNS! Keep your eyes shut!)

    i didn't even know that exfoliating scalp is a thing for 22 years of my life. I use anti dandruff shampoo for a long time and i still keep on getting flakes. maybe i just need to do this.

    • @SuhannaDeSilva
      @SuhannaDeSilva  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don’t actually have dandruff (which is an overgrowth of yeast) anti-dandruff shampoo will dry your scalp out and yes, worsen your flakes!

    • @cassianpicaro
      @cassianpicaro 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SuhannaDeSilva i used to get an actual gigantic dandruff before using the anti dandruff shampoo. But then i thought that flakes = mini dandruff after the use of the shampoo. Do you reckon i should switch around shampoo to not make my scalp dryer?

    How was the hairfall during or after your shower? Was it usual or excess coz this procedure gives more friction than a normal hair wash

    • @SuhannaDeSilva
      @SuhannaDeSilva  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For me it was the same as normal but I also didn’t finger detangle or comb my hair out with my deep conditioner in, I just raked my fingers through it after rinsing to apply my wave maker so whatever hair needed to fall out fell out on its own
