@@vain9syl3 Oh no, I prefer normal figure skating 😂😂 Some performance feels like an elegant ballet solo, when ice dancers looks like tango dancers or contemporary dancers, even for 10 billion I will NEVER wear ice dance boots 👌
I 100% agree. It adds a fluidity that you can't have with just dancing.
Thank you. I call this a seductive attack of the ice. They are 100% athletes but very controlled with their power. All you see from the distance is the movement, not the work that it takes to stay upright and create the movement. I think that's also why they get so much criticism, because they make it look easy. They are the best!
They are so amazingly together. They turn together, they lift their legs the same height, very impressive and beautifull 😄😄
I feel as if I’m eavesdropping when I watch them, it seems so private...but oh so amazing!
even if they are not a couple in private life, they make a perfect match, you can tell how much trust and confidence there are between them two, this what i real love.
@@miriamcip Yes love as close life long friends and soul mates who have been skating together since Gabriella was aged 8 and Guillaume aged 9.
Gabriella is in a relationship with her real life partner. Guillaume is gay and in a relationship with his his real life partner.
I swear…OnIcePerspectives has spoiled me. Not only could I watch Gabbie&Guillaume in slo-mo all day long but watching all of these videos in this beautiful close up sweeping style has made other skating videos start to feel flat. I really love this channel & I come back to these videos over & over again 👌🏻
You can really see the physical effort in slo-mo, but at the same time it's so smooth, graceful...and looks effortless too somehow!! How do they do that?? Thanks for giving us all this perspective, it's truly mesmerising.
I got mesmerized by them even in a practice, wow. They are tremendously exceptional, they live every movement, what a talent ❤

Unique and beautiful - they fly on the ice like butterflies and it looks so easy and simple, but there is a lot of work and training - I am grateful to them for those beautiful moments with them...
Nicely done. So well explained the work that goes into the programs and what it takes to be a smooth and synchronized team as of they are one with each other. I so admire their work and diligence. All of this done on this video without words!! Very effective. Congratulations.

I love this! Someone should show it to the British Eurosport announcers, who kept saying, "Do they even realize it's a competition? It looks like an exhibition program.....Are they even coached?" Would give them (and all of us) just a tiny idea of all the enormous hard work they put into all their dances to make them look so effortless and beautiful.
And why exactly do those commentators say that 🙄?
I think they were saying that exactly because they are so good at what they do!! The commentators were marvelling at their abilities and wondering if they they still needed a coach at this stage + that their competition programme is so interesting artistically, crowds would pay to watch this at an exhibition.. or at least that's how i understood it :)
@@silviasantos9364 Because often the British Eurosport announcers (who are figure-skaters themselves) don't read background articles about (1) what G&G are trying to put across in their programs (often very deeply-layered philosophical emotions), which are written out in wonderful text interviews in various skating magazines), and (2) have said, "I don't know what they are trying to 'say' or "I haven't read about their intent in this program", etc., and I, who like to read ahead of time what G&G are trying to 'say' through their dance, understand perfectly; and I feel the announcers should do their background homework as much as I do, a mere fan. I do realize that they thing G&G are exceptional skaters, but they must know that they are still surrounded by all different kinds of coaches who help them improve in all technical and emotional ways to grow.

More of this! Oh my GOSH!!!! It's like a meditation. Guillaume's ass is so fine. There bodies are like marblesque sculptures, except they move like liquid flowing. They really look like ballet dancers when they do their twizzles and it doesn't seem like any other ice dancers look like this. 2:12 is to die for! Okay 2:18 I don't remember Guillaume ever putting his leg in between Gabriella's legs. Maybe that was a little too racy and they left that out. On-ice perspectives you are an artist in your own right. Thank you so much!

Just a precision, Guillaume placed his leg like that during the spin at the beginning of the 2016/2017 season but they haven’t kept this feature since. Maybe they weren’t satisfied with the results.

As an Ice Dancer myself I appreciate their technique and admire the work they do with perseverance and talent. But what I personally miss in both of them is passion and magic. Apart from the technique in the execution of the elements, ice dance is a spectacle. You want to take the viewer into your world for four minutes and evoke feelings. An art that Virtue / Moir achieved to a great extent and which Papadakis / Cizeron unfortunately do not (yet) master.
Ils apportent une légèreté d'une autre dimension, un côté mystique hallucinant, ils sont connectés et novateurs.
Interesting, I find their performances to be very emotionally evocative and passionate… I love their chemistry together.
