This song is dedicated to their parents (even though it may not sound like it), who are currently in Japan, whereas I believe the girls live in Korea, so they can't really see each other! A lot of these "young" Kpop groups that sing these themed songs actually pull from emotions towards their families since they are always away from their families since a very young age (it's a similar enough "missing" feeling that they can use towards conveying the emotion of the song). People fail to realize that being a Kpop idol isn't a 9-5 job where they get to see their families after work. Many of these idols basically leave their families as young teenagers, often times as children, to move to Seoul to become trainees. If they are lucky, they get so see their families once every year or two. This is why the section where the girls are individually crying is because they are most likely on a surprise video call with their families.
