"Maxx c is good to keep the meta in check". There is a format now where maxx c'ing your opponent twice to draw towards like 7 cards, and its just about possible to keep tear "in check".
More importantly, Tear can play around Maxx C better than 90% of rogue decks, so it literally hurts your chances in most matchups against tear.
“Maxx-c keeps meta in check“ is the easiest way to detect the most idiotic braindead part of the yugioh playerbase ,anyone who utters those words automatically doesn’t deserve to have an opinion about the game .
@@WarpedByTheNHK yea he is just a noob. Depending on the hand and mills Tear can easily end on a strong board with only one/two special summons max and do the rest during ur turn. Never play into maxx c if aren't otking kids, it's more op than ur tear 0 deck
This is what happens when people encourage Konami, especially despite complaining, instead of playing budget, non-meta, etc.
Winning CAN be fun, but when you're playing the same expensive build as hundreds of other people, and often at the same tournies as you??

The tear player could have probably won if he didn't give so many cards to Josh. There is a reason Tear decks usually don't have Ash Blossom or Call By The Grave.
Really? Most tear decks I've seen basically don't run those cards at all? Because tear doesn't really need to play around hand traps.
@@Speedracer6 ash and called by are useless against tear most of the time, u can just shuffle back the maxx c and force it to resolve. And a good tear player can would give the opponent one to two draws max (search the trap, do the rest in their turn)

I disagree, I run both. you can ash the kelbek, agido, or the field spell. Also, if you cbg their tear on your turn it is still negated on their turn.
Ash can also protect our turn from Havnis
Funnily enough they could have still made boarbow to attack directly (possible under avramax) and then wipe the entire field with two activation zeus. Tear should have still won this probably haha

The zeus gets spun back by Avramax after wiping the board, leaving them with an empty field and board going into Josh's turn who has starters in hand. Isn't that still a loss?
@alany2669 Zeus has 5 materials, so can activate twice and herald only negates once.
@Supersox97 I'm not sure if he can clear damage. Summon two beaver blue and jet (only spright name left in deck and out of starters anyways) make elf or dark. Activation is met with 1st shuffler. Make 3200 gigantic spright with the link two, get swap frog dump roanin. Roanin activation met with second shuffler. Make cat shark double gigantic. That's 6900 damage and no more interactions on field. So top deck Reinoheart wins the game for tear. Granted we don't know what Josh's top deck would have been, but I don't know if he really has anything that does it left.
Edit: He actually doesn't even have the jet left in deck only another blue. So with three materials he won't find lethal against shufflers.
@@Michael-hs7pr There are no shufflers are in the 2nd when they got their turn, what are you smoking. Josh has his turn back uninterrupted and can either easily otk or set up a field that no top deck can out
The tear player knew he was playing spright, in that case you keep the Rul for any extender and the snow for the normal (on beaver it’s Rul the beaver and snow on whatever he summons next)
when your opponent is so dumb playing his own t1 deck that even winning doesnt feel good
they should've at least released the bystials at the same time in master duel
You know Bytials keeping Tears in check is as effective as making the shufflers and Kashtira to keep Tears in check right? Its a retarded idea that not only does nothing to lower their winrate against other decks, but got absorbed by Tears themselves that worsen the mirror games and makes them stomps non Tear match ups harder

Nah. Bystials apparently make tear actually stronger. Sure they hurt tear. But they hit everything else harder.
Course bystials also make the tear matchup even more skill dependent but I don't think that's what you're asking for
Bystials in the TCG became Tears second strongest weapon :(

I got to D1 with Floo in this and last season and it was not particularly hard
It was not fun though
Floo is probably one of the best decks in the game rn, it can stop the gy stuff and doesn't itself care much about huge blow out cards that hurt most decks (ie Maxx C, Evenly Matched, Shifter, etc etc). But I hate it

Tear is just a deck that shouldnt be printet in the first place
Every deck have a problem to go 2nd against tearlament Ishizu varriant. No need to said, your going 2nd equal to lose. Evenly matched is important here for going 2nd in this current meta as long as tearlament player did not include solemn judgement which i can guarantee their will include if evenly matched become wide spread used.

I was lucky enough to win at least on game against "Tear" with a standard Machina-track trains (machine.exe) deck...pure luck. I had no hand traps and won in time on game one....dk how

the problem with maxx c against tear is that i once nearly won a game letting my opponent draw 20 of maxx c and if not for them having specifically d fissure it wouldn't even been close

Since playing tearlament, I've started to wonder where all the maxx c hate comes from. The card isn't unfair in this format, even in the mirror match.

The card is terrible for almost every format, but because it's fine in this very specific one, we should stop hating it? Doesn't work like that.
needing 2 maxx c for tear is not an argument in favor of maxx c
Contrary to popular beliefs there were formats before Tearlament.
Maxx c is absolutely unfair in this format to the point where the some meta decks are my meta because they can ignore Maxx c
