Herald of Ultimateness is my favorite card, but I don't play anymore cause this game is just not fun, but since when is Herald being used? I love the card art and I feel its fair since you have to discard for each negate and is a level 12 ritual, how tf did the meta make a deck that makes me feel guilty for using that card?
See before, Ultimateness was just a cool super gimmicky card with a strong effect that was impossible to summon. However, several keys mistakes were made that made the card so oppressive in Drytron 1. Meteonis Drytron is generic, the biggest mistake. It gives Drytron the ability to summon whatever they want without having to use other ritual spells, allowing them to completely abuse certain cards never meant to be played in a combo deck, such as Cyber Angel Benten or Ultimateness 2. Meteonis Drytron can ritual summon cards in the graveyard and recurs insanely easily, meaning that one card can Ritual Summon Benten and later Ultimateness in the same turn. Consistency is way up because you literally only have to run 4 ritual monsters, every other card can be a hand trap or resource generator, something that no Ritual Deck has ever had. Even if you don’t draw the Ultimateness, sending it to the graveyard (via Foolish Burial or Beatrice) and then Ritual Summoning it out is just as good 3. Eva allows for extremely easy searches of Combo Pieces, but also Ultimateness fuel, every Eva is essentially two more omni-summon negates. Along with Union Carrier, which significantly helps to activate Eva’s effect, the deck is absurdly consistent. 4. The Drytron Cards allow you to not have to genuinely expend massive resources to summon Ultimateness, meaning you still have huge field presence to make other XYZ or Link Monsters 5. The Herald Cards have support cards, just as Diviner of The Herald, which lets you send Herald Of The Arc Light from the extra deck to the grave to immediately search a Meteonis Drytron and Herald Of The Orange Light, which is a monster negating handtrap, which only improves their consistency and disruptive capabilities even more Drytron is a deck with almost perfect consistency, as this is easily possible by just opening 2 Drytron monsters, Incredible Field presence, immense resilience to distruption, the means to easily summon a card that will almost certainly win them the duel if their opponent doesn’t draw 1 of like 5 cards and allows for a “Ritual Toolbox”, things unheard of in a Ritual deck until now. That’s why Ultimateness went from gimmicky to absurdly oppressive and hated boss monsters
The engine for Ultimateness was the problem here, not the actual card itself since it is supposed to have limited negates depending on your hand and because Dryton enables it, it should be obvious the problem is the combo pieces, like Duel Logs said, They should do what they did for the tcg hit for stopping Herald. It won't totally cripple Dryton and won't make Herald as much as degenerate as it is now.
Uhhh Drytron's gimmick for ritual summoning is to use the Machine monster's attack points instead of levels to ritual summon And... Guess what Herald of Ultimateness' attack points are?????
He couldn't negate since ultimateness needs to send a card to the graveyard and since Macro Cosmos is on the field cards are banished instead of hitting the grave.
It is still UNBELIEVABLE how you manage to win that. Insane luck to be honest, that Drytron player had everything to control you and he didn't use it, still baffles me.
I play a hero deck and the interaction between Masked Hero Dark Law and card effects that need to be sent to the graveyard in order to activate is pretty interesting, dark law counters those kind of decks that rely heavily on it. My friend and I was testing out to see if cards like forbidden droplet worked but nope :D because card cannot activate effect since cards cannot be sent to the graveyard since they were going to be banished instead due to dark law's effect.
This is why first turn for HERO is very important. Dark Law might not prevent hand trap to stop them due to 'discard' but at least it protects the board from droplets, and disrupt Drytron and VW.
I considered teching in Dark Law into shaddoll-invoked since mask change 2 just makes dark law into a generic extra deck and a extra deck Macro cosmos but i only have one of each so not too consistent.
The first time I played against Drytrons, I went first and got Dark Law on the field. They banished a card they needed to send to the graveyard to get their herald synchro monster out (something about changing the level of a card to the level of a card sent to the GY). I didn't realize I had accidentally just beat the deck everyone was complaining about until later when I saw the full combo.
Didn't they already have lethal on summoning Borrelsword, or is there something in Herald of Ultimateness/ the way Herald was summoned that keeps it from attacking directly? If not they could've changed Herald to attack position, swung over Survivor with Borrelsword, attacked with Herald, then changed Herald to defence for the second Borrelsword attack right? 3900-900= 3000, +2000= 5000, +3900= 8900

My first ranked duel ever in Master Duel (I'm a returning player who hasn't touched yugioh since 2008 but been watching duel logs for 2 years now) was vs drytrons and they also got the herald out. Managed to stall long enough to get my combo's going in an AWFUL T.G. synchro deck meant to summon Shooting Quasar and the guy ended up rage quitting on the 9th turn, played through enough negates and stalled just long enough. There's no way I should have won that LOL.
The first time I played Drytrons, I had summoned Dark Law turn one, and they accidentally banished a card they needed to send to the graveyard to get their plays going. I didn't even realize it was Drytrons until later because the guy pulled out so fast.
macro cosmos and other continuous banish effects means they cant use herald ultimate effect.. As they have to send to "grave" for its effect and they cant do that as the card will be sent to void instead.
The drytron missed lethal on second turn by not attacking with herald of ultimateness then used borrelsword on herald to attack face twice while including 200 dmg from herald
He missed a shit ton of opportunities, he's really bad at playing the game in general but also his own deck I play pure Drytrons and trust me this deck can do incredible things
Great game. Loved seeing the power of old floodgates against a bad meta player. Imo the Ash was an okay move but the plays after that were sloppy imao. Unicorn wasn't that terrible a play but he should have stuck with it and stall with a 2200 beatstick. Personally I would have kept the Borrelsword and Knightmare Phoenix and go for old-school beatdown. Keep the win-con, even if it's riskier.
i cant understand why he doesnt ip to unicorn right away instead of borrelsword to get rid of macro cosmos, when he ended up sacrificing his borrelsword to unicorn anyway..
it's really hard watching this drytron player made a lot of mistakes. I can pardon the ash, but the others? man like he didnt even read the cards properly.
basically once macro is activated, any card that needs to send itself or another card to the GY is useless since it will get banished instead (which isn't included in it's cost) thats why herald is useless once macro is face-up, most hand-traps are too...

4. The Drytron Cards allow you to not have to genuinely expend massive resources to summon Ultimateness, meaning you still have huge field presence to make other XYZ or Link Monsters
5. The Herald Cards have support cards, just as Diviner of The Herald, which lets you send Herald Of The Arc Light from the extra deck to the grave to immediately search a Meteonis Drytron and Herald Of The Orange Light, which is a monster negating handtrap, which only improves their consistency and disruptive capabilities even more
Drytron is a deck with almost perfect consistency, as this is easily possible by just opening 2 Drytron monsters, Incredible Field presence, immense resilience to distruption, the means to easily summon a card that will almost certainly win them the duel if their opponent doesn’t draw 1 of like 5 cards and allows for a “Ritual Toolbox”, things unheard of in a Ritual deck until now.
Uhhh
Drytron's gimmick for ritual summoning is to use the Machine monster's attack points instead of levels to ritual summon
And...
Ultimateness weakness is the hand. It requires fairys to use its negate effect and I believe the opponent didn't had any more at that point and time.
@@fruitybluieblue098 ultimateness cant negate bc cost is discard TO GY iirc. And he cant bc Macro
I wanna make a heraldless drytron deck an see how that works (too bad it's still gonna have Vanity's ruler).
honestly that's exactly why i never give up in any game. You'd be amazed how one idiotic move causes the opp to lose everything xD
Sometimes, I am that idiotic opponent lmao
I remember once i defeated a drytron because he didnt negate my dimension fissue
Banishing almost beats any modern day decks except floowandereeze they love being banished.
this is my new favorite yugioh channel
Ah yes, whenever someone activates macro cosmos on me, my first thought is "let me ash that" as well. Only a true gamer has this mindset.
Anyone know the exact list for the Monarch deck? Would love to try it
love co...blocking Dryton - once put stormwind barrier down, and it was hilarious
drytrons : check
ecclesia profile picture : check
platinum border : check

you got yourself a edgy teenagers that always plays solo in an MMO and picks the dual wielding class.
Is that shit art online reference?
I played the exact same deck u were playing in my ds ygo 5ds game
omfg that blimd ash blossom was hilarious! Made my day haha
The worst drytron player I've ever seen. Glad he lose
Every Herald Drytron is worst player, no exception
Definitely the worst, jeez the stuff that he could've actually done is waaaay better than what people think
Ash Blossom yes clicker, I love those
Found this guy while playing my dumb scrap deck. I won without question and made herald cry
I chuckled so hard when you activated a second Macro 🤣
Konami: prints broken cards with difficult summoning conditions
Also Konami: prints cards that go around summoning condition
Game: I'm in danger
Serves that drayton player right.
yugioh community with the positive vibes as always!!!
You ever just... press buttons? That's Drytrons baby.
Wait...he plays herald...in a dryton deck!?
*i hAVe NevER SeEn tHis bEfoRE*
macro cosmos and other continuous banish effects means they cant use herald ultimate effect.. As they have to send to "grave" for its effect and they cant do that as the card will be sent to void instead.
Drytron, full combo, loses to D.D. Survivor. Can't make this up, lmao.
The drytron missed lethal on second turn by not attacking with herald of ultimateness then used borrelsword on herald to attack face twice while including 200 dmg from herald
He missed a shit ton of opportunities, he's really bad at playing the game in general but also his own deck
I play pure Drytrons and trust me this deck can do incredible things
I lost it when he link off his borrelsword
Ah yes the time when herald is the most hated boss monster
I think I dueled that same guy! Same deck same icon! I’ll check when I get home
Rosemi Duel Logs collab would be so sick
a video with a yugioh deck I understand this is great!
i cant understand why he doesnt ip to unicorn right away instead of borrelsword to get rid of macro cosmos, when he ended up sacrificing his borrelsword to unicorn anyway..
You know your opponent's doomed when they Set Maxx "C".
it's really hard watching this drytron player made a lot of mistakes. I can pardon the ash, but the others? man like he didnt even read the cards properly.
Loooks like ur oponent gonna commit to his username
Lol, this duel should be duel of the year xD
The one where Duel Log's opponent top decked rank-up magic IS duel of the year.
If they have it I don't know about it but they should make a floodgate that floodgates negates.
We do be out here surviving.
Macro Monarchs? Pog. Best old deck
so actualy he made a lot of mistakes. 👓
Gladiators with Dim Fissure is Chefs Kiss by the way.
basically once macro is activated, any card that needs to send itself or another card to the GY is useless since it will get banished instead (which isn't included in it's cost) thats why herald is useless once macro is face-up, most hand-traps are too...
I almost, with a turn 2 hand, brute forced through all of herald’s negates. Then eva went to gy, so I lost
They basically killed trons herald in TCG, can't wait for MD to do the same
I’ve never seen a drytron player surrender, this would be the first and probably last we seen that
I made a Drytron player surrender once with Endymion. iirc I got Secret Village of the Spellcasters out and they just had no way around it.
I have seen drytron players surrender after I summoned dark law going first with my hero deck, pretty satisfying
Guy with a meta deck facing the heart of the cards 😂
The moment macro resolved, herald was negated
Macro shuts down Eldlich, True Draco, etc.. Y'all need to unlimit it like OCG..
Shuts down 99% of decks
We have Macro Cosmos on legs called Dimension Shifter.
ultimatnes coast is sent to grave but macro is on board he can't declare it
Why ash to cosmos?because drytron player can't read, they just straight-up negate anything when there's any pop-up alert for chain
If anybody knows could you make a list of the cards used in this deck.
now I need a deck list
The TCG has some really dumb bans and limits. But goodness Master Duel is going crazy on what is and is not limited/banned 🤣
I'm pretty sure I've seen that guy in other video who also lose in questionable way like this.
this felt so good to watch
Reading is fundamental
They made one fatal slip....
This fella was fuming
When the Macro is Cosmos
Ahh, such sweet catharsis
