Markers are so odd for me. I do my best work with them, but dear god if you get busy with life, they dry out, the nibs mold, they just don’t have any “shelf life” so to speak and I feel awful for letting all mine fall into disrepair it’ll be expensive as sh*t to refill them and re-do the nibs
I have a set of alcohol markers that have sat alone for several years, barely drying and none molding. I have never heard of markers molding, at least alcohol ones! Sorry for your experience!!
It's so unfair how stupidly expensive Kuretake products are in US/Global market. Although, I just bought the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Limited Edition 100 set from Amazon through a JP seller. I can't wait!

on top of that, they are not lightfast so your best work will fade away during your lifetime....

I guess This is water color Paper, at least it looks like one to me because of the thickness.
