My mother had this as her second car, until giving it to my father when she wanted (and still has) a then brand new 2016 Kangoo. In 2022, my father wanted a new car and said he'll either sell or scrap the 2001 200,000 km car. The new owner soon came and and to my father's request, the new owner honked the horn as he left; The very last time we both heard that horn. Unforunately, my mother wasn't home at the time but I'm sure she misses that car.
My parents had 3 over a period of a good 10 to 11 years they are really good cars I have to admit they are quite rare now where I live u never see them anymore sadly😢
Many, many years ago, i had this as a rental car. Going between Gothenburg and Stockholm. I barely survived:) Its by far the noisiest car i have ever driven. Gives chills down my spines when i remenber it😅
My parents had 3 of these over the years when I was a kid really good reliable cars they never break down these old nissans after all it is a Toyota without the shell I can agree though they are very slow cars😂
@@testdrivehero hmm, is it the Ibiza 1.5 FR? :D i picked it up last week and have been watching your test drive of it in a loop the last months, while waiting for it to arrive lol. your vid kinda gave me the final push to get it
@@dsbmisrael Hahaha no it's not, and I won't reveal it😂 The 1.5 FR has the perfect balance to be in that chassis! Love the combination! How happy am I if I helped you on that decision! Enjoy your Ibiza! :)
My dad owns this and bought it 10 years ago for 1k euro,it had on dash 130k km and now after 10 years its 230k km,we have two other vehicles and if u would ask me which one u could take that u know doesnt let u on the road:definitely this Its so boring car but its so simple and economic that in the city its perfect for ur needs

great car, great engine.
🤘🏻😎
It's a pity that the sports version with the sr20 did not come out. Would have benefited a lot from this engine.
Totally agree, but hey, better option to keep the sr20 on the N15 (Almera MK1) or the N14 (Sunny)
I think that its aceleration its not the greatest, but maybe improving the airflow of the engine solves this?
It could be😅

The body roll is terrible, I bought this car the other day. Wanted something to learn stick on
Very good car to be the first!
Yes, high body roll. You can upgrade that part with aftermarlet suspensions at least.
It's a old car mate ul find this issue with alot of old jap cars such as corollas civics
Good reliable and cheap Japanase car, but also very boring vehicle😂
Hahaha totally true😂
I've been driving it for 18 years every day it's starting to show signs of failure I don't think new cars are as reliable
