I was curious about this. Namely the effectiveness of slugs to use shotguns at range. It's definitely a lot easier to get shotguns and shotgun ammo/components if you are researching with the tech tree.

Great thing about water pipe slugs : when people hear the shot in the distance then come to kill you , they’ll often stand still to get a good shot because they aren’t worried about ranged attacks . Then you hit them with the slug and they instantly get deleted like a top tier goomba
