After just recently getting the game and stumbling on your channel and binge watching / listening to alot of your videos I come home from work every night get on a dayz official server hoping to run into you one day. Your videos simultaneously cure my depression and restore my faith in humanity little by little every time I watch them. Thank you my friend, the world needs more people like you ❤
Yo aaron, don't be sad bro. But if you are know it's okay, it's part of the ride. Someday, maybe we'll ride together. Til then, chin up big dog keep killing out there.
Oh, Cam. I remember starting to watch you in the wee beginning of your channel. Me and a buddy began playing Frostline some days ago, and I looked you up again now. I'm so happy your channel has grown well and it seems you've fallen even more into your element. Love to see it! Really well deserved.
Would like some more Sakhal vids with everything that's new to Sakhal like the diseases and how to deal with them, weapons, food and generally how to survive in the long run. Anyway, good work!
I just started playing this game like two or three weeks ago. I got a little discouraged at first because I hate inventory games like this and just seems to have a complicated but the Game coming from arma and me looking for more of like a simulation game more realistic maybe determine to stick this out. Your channel has been a big help the biggest one yet besides when I was playing with my nephew the first time we tried to find each other clueless, he ran into some guys that killed him then they found me helped me find him they had a base and then they taught us the mechanics the scenario could not have worked out any better for us.
I carry a torch during the day. If you get a heat buff, you seem to be able to maintain your heat buff. Also, a little tip I like. I tie my rope into a rope belt, and I can keep a knife on it. Helps save a little inventory space.
Torches seem to be OP on this map, only at day obviously. Being constantly mobile and warm at the same time is great. You can also use human fat to keep it burning. 🔥
Something I've noticed, at least with high insulation clothes, is that I only need one long stick broken down to make a fire that's warm enough to get me from at least light blue to full heat buff, even outdoors. Smoke from chimneys are much more visible than campfire smoke, so I avoid fires in houses unless I want to cook food without a pot. If you find a dense enough group of trees, noticing a campfire from any real distance is quite difficult.
Totally agree on the only one stick needed. Hadn't thought about the extra visibility chimney v outdoor fire though so will be doing that going forward. Cheers 😊
@_T.r.u.e._ some of the sandbag dugouts along the coast of military island are decent too. The smoke will pile up in the dugout but not make a large plume.
Great video, I'd also at first look for stones on your way, you can make a stone knife with one stone and a rock or 2 stones, as the Starting knife tends to only last making ya first fire.
16:35 I think the vertical cone for swing registration is just completely 180°, so even if you swing way up it’ll hit, so aiming above just ensures a headshot.
Everyone is talking about carrying a torch for heat. Nobody is talking about how the lit torch does major shock damage to players. If you get that first heavy hit in, you can spam light attacks, and you can beat shovels and maybe sledgehammers. Same for the flaming broom
You can jump on top of things to avoid fighting zombies on the ground. They can’t hit you on cars, boxes, small roofs etc. locking them in the containers isn’t too hard you close one end then hop on top and wiggle back and forth at the open entrance and back toward the closed end then when enough are in crouch and close the door from up top.
Oh and a tip about bandages. It's better to bandage with a rag thats not disinfected, than it is to let the wound bleed until it stops. The dirty rag has a lower chance of infection, than just letting it clot and losing the blood. So it's always better to bandage, no matter when you're bandaging with. Preferably with something disinfected
It depends if have a heavy bleed or a lighter bleed. Bleeds on your hands/feet bleed slower than bleeds to your arms/legs and even slower than torso/head
@@SubWaySpiderman this is true, but what I'm saying is, that bandaging with something dirty has a lower chance of infection than just letting the bleed stop on its own.
I got DayZ this past Friday. Never played it before. Started on Cam's server. Was tough, died quite a number of times before I finally had a good run of 10+ hours until I got overwhelmed in one of the cities. Respawned, had a few more short runs. Now I'm on a good run and have successfully made it to the point that I can survive reasonably well on Sakhal. I haven't played on the other maps at all yet. Although it does seem like Sakhal has slimmer picking of loot in comparison, according to other players I've met and made friends with.
i expected sakhal to be colder personally but man it is a PHENOMENAL map though gotta say bohemia went all out on this, enjoy it people definitely not as cold as namalsk though, nor are the storms as bad i expected them to be, and that is somewhat disappointing, maybe they will further release balance changes though as they update the map
can anyone help me I’m having this issue where i’ve clicked on 4 different servers but everytime I keep connecting to the same server regardless of which one I click on and I don’t want to play on it no more because I keep getting packet loss on it
Something I recommend is don’t bother starting here on the winter map go chernarus and then get gear then swap to the winter map and bam no more struggle
I hope they remove the possibility to do this. Make Frostline its own ecosystem. I find it kinda lame to gear up first and then go to Sakhal. What's even the point of this ^^ dominating new spawns on the coast?
nah just quit playing if you gotta do all that. Shakal is an easy map if you actually understand the map . the problem is that you need to recognize the difference between the two maps and adjust your play style. you play like you are on chernarus you’re dead before you even started.

Reason being I am really struggling to find reliable water and food sources. And the blizzards are killing me 😅
... and I have to make a fire every 20 minutes or so and that's making it very hard to survive.
I’m watching this during my 30 minute lunch break🤝
Perfect video for a noob like me. Thank you. Loving all your other content.

Also gas!
fat keeps it burning omg i wish i knew this 11 hours ago 😂😂
I'm not new to Dayz, but this video completely changed how I start a new character. Thanks!

if I'm in/near one, I make fires in sheds. you can't see me!

Duplicated comment is crazy
Cam: preserve your ammo.
Also Cam: unloads a full mag on 1 zombie.
Do as he says, not as he does? Haha😅
@@VicZam9 lol
HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
One thing you can also do to counter a large horde of zombies is to get on top of a car and hit them since they won't be able to hit you
@dumbidiot8946 the tradeoff being that you're easy pickings by anyone with a gun. It's a last resort.
The guy it the tree watching you will hit you

Thanks for the video, Cam. You're the GOAT on teaching DayZ to noobs like me.

Congrats on 20k subscribers
Playing right now looking for some nice Drip 💧 good video CamCam
Nice mix of tips/info here. Didn't really strike me that this may be the 1st map someone plays in DayZ...

@Vazkiel Nice! It's my bad, just hadn't occurred to me until now. Not sure why...lol. Good on ya!

I like how dayz is so realistic and detailed but we can’t double up clothing like layering? More inventory and more insulation
27:52 Cam you have to aim at the blue! The white isnt actually water, it's just aesthetic. You could definitely fish from that range
can anyone help me I’m having this issue where i’ve clicked on 4 different servers but everytime I keep connecting to the same server regardless of which one I click on and I don’t want to play on it no more because I keep getting packet loss on it
Brooms are goated on this map
2 points points
- shorter video
- chapters
Legend
Out of curiosity, I noticed you played with Twig in the past. Any updates on him?
A short of you just pronouncing place names pls! 😂❤
The name of the town is Rundnogorsk LOL
The insulation level don’t really make a difference

My advice for fellow controllers players is get a keyboard and mouse
1 hour in and bro only has a pistol 💀
He’s showing people how to play. If he was playing normally he would have more than a pistol. Stfu
Yo yo for the algo
Something I recommend is don’t bother starting here on the winter map go chernarus and then get gear then swap to the winter map and bam no more struggle
Yeah, but we face the struggle with a smile and make it our biiiiiiiiichhhhh
I dove headfirst into Sakhal even though I had never played DayZ before. The adversity made me strive harder.
I hope they remove the possibility to do this. Make Frostline its own ecosystem. I find it kinda lame to gear up first and then go to Sakhal. What's even the point of this ^^ dominating new spawns on the coast?

wtf.... water, can of pop, rope within 2 mins.....
I'm a new player to DayZ, got it this past Friday. Had some very unlucky starts and a few good starts. It's a great RNG.
That's what it's like when the devs turn off the stupid group spawn. There's actually loot in the spawn town
@@VicZam9start on cherno, this new map is pretty gnarly
