@@sickgeezersully8751 it's so funny cause I completely forgot I made this comment, but I've recently (and once again) thought about playing it. I will.. at some point
@@professorpenguin7293 haha i saw it and thought oh well it was years ago probs wont reply, its been 3 years since ur comment and still no closer to elder scrolls 6
Yep, definitely worth playing... not many games keep people interested years later, but Skyrim still has people playing it over 3 years after it's release. *Awesomtacular Indeed* -'J
xeroflarexl Rumoured but I highly, highly HIGHLY doubt it sorry to burst your bubble but bethesda knows how to time their games as much as people want an elder scrolls: VI there would need to be more time in between them oblivion im pretty sure was released in 2006 then skyrim was released in 2011 and even though most don't like it the elder scrolls online is still recent so from that I find it highly doubtful they might announce fallout 4 I haven't played any of the games but I'm pretty sure that will be the next thing they announce personally I'm up for dishonored 2 but that's just me
I'm conflicted. See, most of my opinions on Skyrim are pretty negative, but my Steam tells me I have played over 900 hours of it, and I'm just about to go back for more. So yeah.
I know right? Skyrim is one of those rpgs where it annoys the shit out of you, yet you end up sinking 600+ hours of your life into it. Same thing with the newer Fallouts. "Yeah, Bethesda is bad at writing, but goddamnit I want to explore just ONE more dungeon!" * ten hours later * "what was I doing before this again?"
No seriously, your life will belong to Skyrim if you don't do EVERYTHING!!! I've beaten the game three times over, lost my data, and now... I'm playing it again... help...
Ezra Rhoads i can recognise most of them by the shape of their head i dont even have to look at their faces. I also know all the sidequests by heart and which npcs are involved with every one. I also know the exact number of enemies in every dungeon apart from the dwarven ruins
Jeremy, your one of my idols on youtube. I remember my brother showed me your Fight Club review and I've been a loyal fan ever since. You've helped me get through some shitty times and would just like to thank you for entertaining me and all of your subscribers and being completely AWESOMETACULAR!
But the quest i remember from Oblivion, are usually the end quests in factions (and some others), where as many of the other quest are taking place in fort ruins, ayleid ruins, caves etc. which were all basically looking the same, and that dosen't encourage people to do those particular quests. Skyrim did a good job with providing quality dungeons and landmarks, all of them hand-crafted instead of copied. Here are some other points i forgot: The removal of level-scaling. Be-whatever-you-want etc
I love Skyrim so much. The ONLY bad thing (in my opinion) is that if you play it everyday for like, 4 or 5 months, you then just stop enjoying it. Like, you just stop, I don't know what it is. But you play it for a long time, and then you never wanna play it again, no matter how good it is, or what DLC comes out. I played it for almost a full year, and now I refuse to ever play it again D:
Same here, but a little different. I didn't play it for about a year, until I randomly saw someone talking about it on Twitter then I was like "I liked that game a lot. I should play at again." Right now I should be studying for my exam tomorrow but here I am playing it again.
Same, what brought me back is when I felt retarded that I forgot about all the great mods for skyrim...which I'm adding now, and am going crazy on hundreds of new quests. Man it's good to be back.
asianyeti Did you fail? Incidentally, Skyrim has many many great features, but in the end it's just too... lonely. I mean, there aren't any characters to get attached to. You can get a wife and kids even and they've each only got about 3 lines of dialogue. There are loads of good mods, but it's only rich in its scope, not in its depth. What would completely fix that would be multiplayer and overseer functions, so you could have private servers where soemone is setting up adventures on the fly like in Neverwinter Nights etc.
***** Actually, Bethesda is almost done making Elder Scrolls online. Which is all of Tamriel as a MP map. Only problem is 80 bucks to buy it, and 15 bucks a month to play
This one time I was off wandering the in wilds, as I am apt to do, and found a small mining settlement. Suddenly I hear the rush of wings above me and I summoned my flame magic. I was eager to gain another dragon's soul. But as I and the great beast did battle, one of my flame spells hit a bystander. A guard approached me with the intent of arresting me, despite our circumstances. As the guard spoke the dragon landed behind him, strode up to him, and ate him before my eyes. Real time is great.
Coming up on 200 hours now. On PC, you get some amazing mods coming out that really make the game EVEN better. It's insane that even after all this time, I'm still discovering new content.
Basic Skyrim is good, but where it shoots from 'Good' to 'OMFG' is with mods. Want a better looking character? Mods can make you anything from a victoria's secret model to a shapeshifting vampiric dragon. Want a cool sword? Yeah, got it covered. Bow too? Yep. Want your magic to be massively OP (But also massively awesome) No problem. Want to add realism to the game? How would you feel about freezing to death if you don't wear thick clothes and make camps? Or how about needing to go to the bathroom? What about pregnancy (Complete with menstrual cycle) and birth? Done and done. Want dragons to be like in GW2, and be frigging huge epic monsters of death with totally D&D coloring? Easy peasy.
Fully grown dragons, as far as I am aware, was first introduced in Redguard, which came out in 1998 and became the basis for how the dragons in Skyrim looked. To say they were inspired by nordic dragons seem a bit strange, when their appearance was set so long ago. And that they don't have the features you seem to think they need.
With one character or with multiple, Cause I can never finish the game before I get tired of it and quits only to replay it with a new character a few months after :O
I learned pretty quickly; when I find a staff that does aoe magic, give it to my companion. For some odd reason, and I am thankful for it, when my companion does a fireball attack, and I'm caught in the blast, I don't get hurt. Now, the other way around, I've accidentally killed my companions once or twice before.
***** I agree. But NV is my all time fav. That western feel just warms my heart. Although the Master from fallout 1 is my favorite bad guy for the whole series. Convincing him to off himself, was priceless.
Could never get into Skyrim on 360 but i picked it up today on the Steam sale because it was cheap... Either i'll finally understand why so many people love this game or i'll still dislike it point is i'm not loosing much if it's the latter.
I've actually almost completely turned around on it and i'm enjoying it greatly now :) Just wish i had a better system to play it on but it still looks better then the 360 version so overall i'm pretty happy thanks for asking.
Yeah definitely gonna take a look at that... Just updated my computer and now it runs at ultra high 60fps with the high res texture and i'm enjoying it quite a lot :) Still a few frustrating things about Bethesda's maps are always crap and Skyrims is no better but despite it i'm still enjoying it... Play Deus Ex right now though and can't seem to pull myself away lol.
I can see where you come from on that. I enjoy Skyrim because I can feel like I'm a medieval warrior and all that, however those are pretty much the same problems I have with Fallout. Like I never knew how to explain how I didn't like Fallout, but you pretty much summed it up for me. I'm also gonna have to disagree with you on the soundtrack, because I really enjoy it but I understand what you're saying with everything else
I don't like it when people attack someone's opinion just because it's out there or unpopular. I find it admirable when someone comes up with an opinion on there own and strongly sticks to it instead of hoping on a bandwagon of opinions that everybody is a part of just so they can fit in. It's the worst when you have properly came to an opinion on your own and people start bashing on it because they don't share the same one as you. It's valuable to have an opinion that's different from others because it opens people's perspectives to different things, but sometimes people get so stubborn and worked up about something that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things and makes the situation more conflicting than it needs to be. I'm worried about the people who feel pressured to share the same opinion as others because they don't wanna get shunned for having one that's different, so they end up taking other people's opinions more into consideration than their own. That's not good. That's why I'm willing to agree to disagree, because it takes the things that is typically destructive and makes it much more constructive than it usually is.
This game is fucking immense. I've been playing it for about 150 hours & it just doesn't stop, soooo many side quests. It feels like I've barely scratched the surface of the story. The only RPG I've played besides this is the Final Fantasy series, so my frame of reference is limited, but for those interested here's how they stack up. The story & characters aren't cheesy, weird Japanese things. A definite thumbs up for that. Having said that, the characters that I've met don't feel developed at all. You don't form relationships & the NPCs that follow you around just feel like empty vessels. The world & it's history on the other hand is overwhelmingly huge. There's so many books in this game. You could probably spend 100 hours just reading. I get the feeling that if you knew the franchise these would all be familiar call backs to previous games. As a newbie I have to admit I'm finding them a bit tedious. One thing that sets this apart from any other game I've played are the very real consequences. You align yourself with various factions & the story develops in a very organic way depending on your choices. I've never seen this executed so well in any game ever. This isn't the black & white moral dilemmas of Fable, it's a real political struggle, that forces you to make hard decisions. The growth system is brilliant! The forging, enchanting & alchemy are so in depth. It kicks the balls off any Final Fantasy title. However, once again the sheer volume of contraband I picked up was at first overwhelming. I had a dresser drawer stuffed full of about 2000 potions & chests filled with all sorts of armor. I couldn't carry 1% of it & none of the vendors had enough money to purchase it. I just forged weapons to level up & then dumped it all in the street. I've since learned to manage my supplies much more effectively though & I've actually found it quite rewarding learning the art of trade. The world is totally open. The stories don't branch out, *they explode* in every direction. This, much like the smithing & alchemy, is overwhelming at first, but ultimately hugely rewarding. It feels so organic. Whilst I have some recognition of where the main plot is leading, it doesn't feel forced at all. The side quests are every bit as interesting as the key storyline. They're not just work on the side, they're totally integrated into the lore. A far cry from games like GTA & FF. The graphics are fine, not incredible, but good enough. There are some irritations like the fact the weapon I'm carrying isn't actually strapped to my back, but is just suspended in the air behind me. Meh, I can live with it. I've also experienced some serious glitches with lighting effects that have really taken me out of the game. There are bugs in this game. Full balled crashes occasionally, getting stuck in scenery, blah blah blah. They all suck. I'm playing on PS3 & I have to say. this generation of console is the worst for bugs & glitches ever. You didn't get nearly this much shit from PS1 or N64 games. The loading screens are also a drag. The NPCs are all complete dicks. I'm very tempted to create a tangent save file just to go on a killing spree of every Nordic prick I've met. I wonder if it's possible to kill every citizen in Skyrim? Also, you don't even have to ask, you'll just walk past & they'll cough up some snide shit. I'm brandishing a Steel Battleaxe in one hand and fireball in the other & some cocky pedestrian will say "Aww let me guess? Somebody stole your sweet roll?" I swear I'm going to kick off next time someone says that. That brings me to the next point. The generic script is *LAZY!* NPCs constantly repeat themselves, which is annoying, but worse they all say the same things. It feels like there's just 5 voice actors in the entire game & a collection of 20 or so phrases. You hear the same lines over & over again in different voices. Finally on the topic of NPCs... *THEY NEVER FUCKING MOVE!!!* The amount of times I've walked into a room & my NPC buddy has blocked the door is infuriating! Oh & a word of advice, if they're carrying half of your equipment *don't let them die in a random cave* because you'll have to salvage all your gear off them & crawl back to the nearest town at a snail's pace. Speaking of caves, they all look the same. That goes for most of the scenery in fact. It's always miserable weather. Even when it's sunny, it's still miserable. It never feels refreshing. The combat system isn't to my taste at all. It's a very basic hack & slash for the most part. You either bludgeon your enemies with a war hammer or run backwards whilst you spew flames at them. You spend a lot of time pausing the game & drinking potions. If you set your potions to the quick access menu you can't tell which is more potent or valuable. It just feels awkward. There's a bunch of spell tomes & magic scrolls to use, but I'm always reluctant to do so because they're finite & I never know if I'll see them again. As I mentioned earlier, my only point of reference is the FF series (1 to 12), but compared to any of those games it feels utterly stagnant and unimpressive. I'm not far through the campaign, but it doesn't feel like the combat will ever amount to anything like that of FF7,8,9 &10. The soundtrack isn't very varied at all, thankfully what it has is good, very good. It has a lush classical score which captures the mood perfectly. There's no question that this game is immersive as hell, but the mechanics of the combat hold it back. Skyrim creates a rich world that's steeped in history, but I don't feel for any of the characters. You can align yourself with different factions from imperials to rebels, thieves & mages, but you never feel emotionally attached to any cause. Skyrim feels like an RPG centered around growth & in that respect it's very well executed. I'm yet to feel rewarded though. I'm still wandering through caves, casting fireballs & waving an axe around like I was at the start. The only difference is now my attacks do 49 points of damage instead of just 4. If only it had a better combat system... If you invest -a bit- a lot of time learning about the world & its lore (& you make it through the bewildering early stages) this game may well suck you in, in the way only massive RPGs can. You don't get the feeling of comradery that you get from Final Fantasy games & don't hold your breath for a summon that will turn the world inside out. It's all about character growth & game history. If you like leveling up characters & making them unique it's worth it just for that. For all my criticisms, I still have to hammer home the point that this game is *huge!* The sheer volume of its content sets it apart from other games. It makes games like Arkham City look puny. It's like comparing VY Canis Majoris to Pluto. It may be a very flawed 1000 hours of gameplay but it's still *1000 hours of gameplay!*
10 years later, and Skyrim is still kicking thanks to the mod community. I love the quest mods you can get for this game, some of them are just as good, if not better then anything put in the vanilla game. For example The Forgotten City, just go play it lol, all I'm gonna say. Skyrim is a great game, but some things from the previous titles were taken away. I actually kinda prefer the class creation of old. Picking your skills, and signs, and playing a class. With Skyrim, you can literally be a god at everything, with no limits, and it just doesn't feel as special. Sure you could just play as what ever you want to be, and stick to that path, but creating a class was so charming. It gave a challenging aspect as well. Oblivion and Morrowind gave you limitations. You aren't good at everything, so you gotta work with what ever you created. Skyrims system does give you a lot of flexibility, and freedom, but I still prefer the old ways.
Not really i find TESO was fun in pvp not in the pve aspect as they dumb down a lot of things causing the game to be not fun. But if u like just make skyrim into multiplayer and have no change to it whatsoever and u can do anything and everything Hell yeah that will be awesometacular
Really, i feel that all different play-types are awesome in their own ways. When i was a pure warrior, i just bashed people's faces in constantly, and as an assassin i just sniped them or slit their throats. And according to most, the mage is really fucking awesome too. Doing all that in a game isn't easy. Props to Skyrim.
+eskoturn5000 Dragonbone armor and weapons are the best, even better than daedric, and daedric is so much better than ebony, but dragonbone requires 100 smithing
David Alex No. Dragon bone was underwhelming for me. Plus, you can't die with the ebony sword fully powered as it steals enough health to keep you going. On top of that, it swings as fast as a one handed sword. And the cherry on the top is that if you pair that sword with the nightingale armor you look like the lovechild of Batman and Ezio auditore, with a little bit of darth vader in there.
Personally, I like to have my character by a “Jack-of-all-trades” type of warrior, wherein I mainly focus on levelling up the skills with One-Handed, Two-Handed, Heavy Armour, Archery, Shield, and Smithing, while also finding as many Health potions and items to help me when I’m in a rut. That’s just how I personally do things. Also, quick way to level up your Smithing skill? Just keep making hundreds of Iron Daggers. You end up spending more money than what you earn, but it’s totally worth.
Skyrim... Well my relationship with Skyrim is complicated. It doesn't mean I don't love it 'cause I did, but after 300+ hours the flaws stand out like a sore thumb and it gets real easy to think of things that would make the game better. But still, got 300 hours of entertainment before I got completely bored, that's something.
No kidding. The game's physics are laughable, some textures are hideous, and the collision is awful in some places. I was able to use the games collision to derp My way to the throat of the world at level 9.
I'm pretty sure you go to the throat of the world to talk to paarthunax about the elder scroll. I was just trying to say that I was able to use the games weird collision to get up to the throat of the world without using the clear skies shout to stop the cold from blocking your path. Although, since you're not supposed to be there yet, paarthunax isn't there, and you can't learn the fire breath shout.
Oblivion and Skyrim- two of the most finest games ever made. I love them both so much, how different they are, the woods of Cyrodil and the mountains of Skyrim. Almost everything about these games is perfect (save the lockpicking in Oblivion. Yeah, better to do Nocturnal's shrine quest and get the Skeleton key or just level up your Alteration skill). Needless to say, both games are the most beautiful, well crafted and downright brilliant video games I've ever played.
Skyrim was terrible, oblivion was terrible and skyrim made me wish I was playing oblivion thats pretty pathetic. Terrible combat more dumbed down every game, terrible story again the dumbing down, red blue green level system, more catering to console simpletons. Its restrictive as hell and easier than it has any business being, one of the most thoughtless gaming experiences i've ever had. Stand still chug potions spam left click, follow the arrow, congrats you beat skyrim. People who like this game are domesticated to the AAA turd factory that pumps out mind numbing hand holding shit. Do something with your life and play dark souls you peasants(first one not the 2nd it sucks).
the shitty combat story and other mechanics? oh the world is big? big fucking deal you spend 50% of the time just following a fucking arrow around and the other 50% of the time spamming left click and chugging potions, thoughtless experience through and through. Its not epic, its bad. Oblivion was a better game and Oblivion was a major disappointment. You know what it is though I've figured it out? you yuppy kids have spent you entire lives playing the dumbed down bullshit big developers excrete from their giant sphincter and you just dont have any pallet for quality.
Alice Infinity false but way to show brand loyalty and a total lack of perception. I loved Fall Out New Vegas, that game was pretty damn popular and its a great game was buggy on launch which sucked but it had solid components in spite of that.
Oh snap you're an idiot I see now. New Vegas was quality, great characters great story and though the combat wasnt fantastic it was way better than the combat in skyrim, you couldnt just chug potions and stand there unless you were wearing power armor which you dont get till way late and even then some enemies still hurt you so big deal, you actually get rewarded in new vegas for carefully considering how you approach and defeat your enemies something that skyrim doesnt require of any player. The melee combat in New Vegas even had more depth than skyrim's combat as there were special directional commands that give you different attacks that had different effects like knock downs etc. The vats also had special animations to keep things from being stale as all fuck. As well as most of the high end melee weapons actually doing cool shit like the ballistic fist. Skyrim was bland it was bad it was a utterly thoughtless experience, you dont think so because you have very little brain activity. Show some consistency? Demonstrate an ability to follow and make coherent arguments or better yet know what the fuck you are talking about before you open you dumb fucking mouth. Look at the actual mechanics of both New Vegas and Skyrim. Look at the actual components, story, characters, setting, etc. If it isnt apparent that skyrim is lacking in all areas then you are seriously lacking all your facaulties. "Chose to have a more flexible design" are you serious? Go back and play morrowind peasant you have not yet drunk fine wine. Skyrim is stiff as a hell. Get out from under my horse, better yourself. Its cool that you think you like dark souls or are at least saying that as some pathetic attempt to pacify me but you clearly didnt get it, you clearly passed through it as polluted water through my horses urinary tract not truely experiencing it. Because if you had, you would never be able to defend such abominable shit as skyrim. You would never be able to look at the two and not see how one was so vastly inferior. Unless you mean Dark Souls II in which case go figure that game was also horse shit, thanks From Soft you blew it.
When I went exploring for the first time; I stumbled upon an old witch, who had been secretly practising arcane magic. Long story short, I killed this witch, taken her loot and threw her off the edge of a waterfall.
The armor glitch was by far the funnest to mess with. Wearing multiple pieces of enchanted armor was incredible. Made my bodyguard invulnerable and could one hit kill dragons. And sneak attacking dragons in one hit kills, seeing them fly up just to plummet into the ground, was very gratifying. Was trying to go for all suits in game worn all at once lol. Different ones were seen in 3rd person view, so it was a mix match of all armors coming through each other at once.
I have had the game for three year untouched, been too busy, now i have a broken clavicle and a couple of months off work and am so glad I had this game just waiting. I played Oblivion to death back in the day so am so looking forward to this experience. Great review btw!
It's improved vastly, it's a like a year and a half old now and still looks beautiful (Mainly on PC). This game can keep you occupied for endless hours, I've had it since launch and I can still hop in and find something to do. It won game of the year for a reason, it's really one of the best RPG's ever made.
I adore Skyrim. When I was on my first playthrough, I pretty much just focused on the guilds before I went onto the main quest. I think the Dark Brotherhood and the Companions had to be my favorite. Though I really hated Lydia. >.
After finally getting the game and placing 60+ hours into it I can say that Skyrim is as vast as a game that I've played. The open world is very daughting but at the same time I'm glad that there is no real limitations of where you can go.
I finished game just ones and like I always do, I made my research on character creation and pick orc.(female, fairy muscular) One of the most memorable moments in the game was when things turned to my benefits and as I passed through the valley went to the ground of lurking bandits and I cleaned up their furs in brutal and animalistic combat after hours of running off their paths. Uf...
Going on nearly 2 years and more than 500 total hours, this game never really ends and there's always a reason to put it back in my xbox when I need a break from all the FPS titles.
To be honest, I preferred oblivion's quests, most non-faction/non-daedric quests in skyrim were just finding an item in a dungeon, while oblivion had rooting out guard corruption, performing an exorcism in a house you bought, and fighting trolls in a magical painting. I loved the graphical improvements in skyrim and the dragonborn DLC was phenomenal, but in general, oblivion had the more creative and enjoyable quests.
oh my god, you're soooo right, I just love this game so much ! Didn't create a mage for my main, but a badass thief conjurer with a sword, yes, you can do that in Skyrim, and it's awesome, and you're invincible, really, if you're smart :) Played a Dunmer too btw, I guess great minds think alike ^^
My first playthrough of Skyrim was on the PS3 GOTY Edition and I had a mere 30 hours invested. Those are rookie numbers. My second playthrough on the PS4 with the Anniversary edition was 70+ hours. That was an amazing experience. If I’ve doubled my Skyrim playtime from 30 to 70+ hours, I don’t even know how long I’ll be playing Skyrim on the PS5 for.
AHHHHHH!!! Man after my own heart! I play WoW hardcore and my main is a mage so I completely understand the "oh yeah you do a shit ton of damage but prepare to be obliterated" I just bought an Alienware 14 and have been debating buying skyrim. This review just sealed my date :) an armored badass mage fighting dragons?! SIGN ME UP!!!
dude I have put easily over 500 hours into the game, and there are still a shit ton more side quests to do, but it never gets boring. it's on of those games you can play over and over again and love it even more each time. skyrim is my absolute favorite game of all time
you know once your core skill gets to 100 you can make them legendary and restart that core skill from lvl15, and in skyrim if you level up more and more the normal weapons in the chests have a chanse to be remplased with something more powerfull, the special and powerfull items are unlocked to appear on the chests if you keep leveling up more and more
Its 2020 and i still play Skyrim... this game is pure gold.
It's been so long since it's release and I've only seemed to have an interest in it now. Out of all the TES games, is Skyrim best to begin with?
@@professorpenguin7293 well the older ones at this point are too old to play and have a lot of fun with tbf, just watch a lore video and play it

I know right? Skyrim is one of those rpgs where it annoys the shit out of you, yet you end up sinking 600+ hours of your life into it. Same thing with the newer Fallouts.

Jeremy, your one of my idols on youtube. I remember my brother showed me your Fight Club review and I've been a loyal fan ever since. You've helped me get through some shitty times and would just like to thank you for entertaining me and all of your subscribers and being completely AWESOMETACULAR!
Skyrim 10 out of 10 5stars one of the BEST GAMES EVER!!!!
and why is that? How is skyrim a good game?
Diaconu Catalin he's right best game ever
one of the best games ever? are you fucking kidding me? its THE best game ever
+Adonissherlock i stand corrected
Andrei Catalin Diaconu you’re the biggest troll lol
I remember this game being new, I'd love to go back and play skyrim for the first time again.
I want to see Jeremy do a lets play of Skyrim just to see his reactions to using the magic and blasting people
He does not do let's playes he only reviews
200+ hours into Skyrim... And I have no regrets xD
1200 hours no regrets ;)
I just started again after getting all the DLC for free... Gonna be clocking them hours up.
those are rookie numbers
Going between university, socialising, playing games other than Skyrim and then playing Skyrim... Those aren't rookie numbers
that's a rookie number
Most immersive, and story filled world you'll ever find yourself in. Spot on review.
Here are some other points i forgot:
The removal of level-scaling. Be-whatever-you-want etc
So many years later and I still play this game
I love Skyrim so much. The ONLY bad thing (in my opinion) is that if you play it everyday for like, 4 or 5 months, you then just stop enjoying it. Like, you just stop, I don't know what it is. But you play it for a long time, and then you never wanna play it again, no matter how good it is, or what DLC comes out. I played it for almost a full year, and now I refuse to ever play it again D:
So true! I thought to myself let's do something new like a dark elf ... cba in the end :')
Same here, but a little different. I didn't play it for about a year, until I randomly saw someone talking about it on Twitter then I was like "I liked that game a lot. I should play at again."
Right now I should be studying for my exam tomorrow but here I am playing it again.
Same, what brought me back is when I felt retarded that I forgot about all the great mods for skyrim...which I'm adding now, and am going crazy on hundreds of new quests. Man it's good to be back.
asianyeti
Did you fail?
I use the dual wield option ( One hand I use magic the other a weapon/shield) and it works like a charm!
Over four hundred hours gameplay... On console. :)
I love this game!
+Angel Van Dam Don't you see?! PC SUPREMACY IS THE ONLY TRUTH!

Still playing?
Should I still get this? in 2016
Yeah best game I've ever played.
I'm making the same decision..
+Tori Volz If you like RPGs... This is the masterpiece of all RPGs
+Placebo_Jones *sarcasm* Nuh uh, Witcher 3 is the new Skyrim.
yes yes yes yes yes
This one time I was off wandering the in wilds, as I am apt to do, and found a small mining settlement. Suddenly I hear the rush of wings above me and I summoned my flame magic. I was eager to gain another dragon's soul. But as I and the great beast did battle, one of my flame spells hit a bystander. A guard approached me with the intent of arresting me, despite our circumstances. As the guard spoke the dragon landed behind him, strode up to him, and ate him before my eyes.
Real time is great.
The mods really kept this game alive even after so many years
Still playing this game and never 100% completed it. And I 100% every game I play.
Coming up on 200 hours now. On PC, you get some amazing mods coming out that really make the game EVEN better. It's insane that even after all this time, I'm still discovering new content.
Just ordered the special edition on PS4 for $30, it'll be my 1st time playing 😬
Brandon Burnie How are you finding it?
Currently playing as a High Elf Mage, enjoying it a lot!
High Elf mage with heavy armor is the best
high elves who is a stealth archer is great
"Alright wrap up this story lady, I have to fight something big". Sounds like me talking to my mom after Thanksgiving dinner.
I spent roughly 1500 hours into Skyrim, and im sure there was still stuff I hadn't discovered ! It's MASSIVE
Over 340 hours into skyrim. On console.
That's where it's at

"Over 340 hours into skyrim."
YEAH
"On console."
Ewwwwwwwww
Only way to play.

2022. I am a new player, never played it before , and this game really awesome
Who’s here for the 10 year anniversary edition
And that they don't have the features you seem to think they need.
i also played as dark elf in my first play

551 hours, and I haven't been able to get into the DLC's despite that I have them and have had them since they came out =P
Just hit 800. My god, what am I doing.
With one character or with multiple, Cause I can never finish the game before I get tired of it and quits only to replay it with a new character a few months after :O
Many, many characters. But that was mostly to test mods, I have had three characters that I have poured many hours into.
Skyrim is the best game ever for people who love fantasy rpg's
You should review fallout 3 and New Vegas
***** I agree. But NV is my all time fav. That western feel just warms my heart. Although the Master from fallout 1 is my favorite bad guy for the whole series. Convincing him to off himself, was priceless.
animeclubdaveisdead Yah i liked New Vegas more than 3 also. but 3 was still a legendary game.
animeclubdaveisdead
Fallout 1 had one of the best video game stories EVER.
Nothing feels more badass than being three times the level of the enemies in the area and one hitting the entire room with chain lightning.
make a gaming channel
can't wait to play it again for my xbox one!
FUCK THEM!!!
Uncle Rich fuck you pc players, shove your console up your ass
Damn how nicely your channel has aged.
Play Deus Ex right now though and can't seem to pull myself away lol.
manic221 the mods on skyrim nexus are much better than the ones on the workshop
Skyrim, last of us are the greatest games in my opinion
Skyrim, The Last of Us, Uncharted 4 and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Minecraft are my favorite games
Fuck you Hitler your opinion is irrelevant.
Have u played witcher 3 , it has to be in evrryone's greatest games ever list , it's my favorite
I always come back to this review whenever I want a reason to play skyrim again
*THEY NEVER FUCKING MOVE!!!*
The amount of times I've walked into a room & my NPC buddy has blocked the door is infuriating!
It 2018 and I still play this it’s the best game ever
I've been playing it for two years now.
nuff said.
pollenontheshoot Still playing 7 years later lmao.
@@jarlballinofswagrun4229 still playing 9yrs latwe
Sorry, but no multiplayer in The Elder Scrolls. TESO is just a small example of how that can ruin the game. But great review overall, Jeremy. :-)
eso is an mmo (massive multipleyer online), coop is not mmo but it is still multiplayer
Not really i find TESO was fun in pvp not in the pve aspect as they dumb down a lot of things causing the game to be not fun. But if u like just make skyrim into multiplayer and have no change to it whatsoever and u can do anything and everything Hell yeah that will be awesometacular
Do a review on “ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE” plz!
I killed a lydia with my ebony blade.
the best sword in the game nice......
I sacrificed her to Boethiah
I played it naked.. .. ..
Yea i did that too. I play it in the bath cos ive got the switch version
Do a review on fallout 3
Oblivion and Skyrim- two of the most finest games ever made. I love them both so much, how different they are, the woods of Cyrodil and the mountains of Skyrim. Almost everything about these games is perfect (save the lockpicking in Oblivion. Yeah, better to do Nocturnal's shrine quest and get the Skeleton key or just level up your Alteration skill). Needless to say, both games are the most beautiful, well crafted and downright brilliant video games I've ever played.
ITS REMASTERED
Skyrim was terrible, oblivion was terrible and skyrim made me wish I was playing oblivion thats pretty pathetic. Terrible combat more dumbed down every game, terrible story again the dumbing down, red blue green level system, more catering to console simpletons. Its restrictive as hell and easier than it has any business being, one of the most thoughtless gaming experiences i've ever had. Stand still chug potions spam left click, follow the arrow, congrats you beat skyrim.
People who like this game are domesticated to the AAA turd factory that pumps out mind numbing hand holding shit. Do something with your life and play dark souls you peasants(first one not the 2nd it sucks).
an imagination helps
up yours skyrim epic and huge whats not to love
the shitty combat story and other mechanics? oh the world is big? big fucking deal you spend 50% of the time just following a fucking arrow around and the other 50% of the time spamming left click and chugging potions, thoughtless experience through and through.
Nearly 10 years after this video was made im finally playing the game on PS5
When I went exploring for the first time; I stumbled upon an old witch, who had been secretly practising arcane magic. Long story short, I killed this witch, taken her loot and threw her off the edge of a waterfall.
Who's here still grinding through this game in 2020
Skyrim gives me that awesome feeling zelda use to give me when i was a little kid. Its a work of art. Cant wait for 6.
Skyrim is EPIC. I play as a mage, and I can summon dramora lords and shoot lightning. I FELT LIKE SUCH A BAD ASS
awesome review dude, and as for me.. i prefer more of being a sneaky type of character i love the kill cam arrow in this game!
Just one thing that didn't do this review justice...
JEREMY! THE MUSIC! *WHY DID YOU NOT TALK ABOUT THE MUSIC!?*
After finally playing it in 2018 it’s become my favorite game of all time.
I miss you doing video game videos jeremy!
I have had the game for three year untouched, been too busy, now i have a broken clavicle and a couple of months off work and am so glad I had this game just waiting. I played Oblivion to death back in the day so am so looking forward to this experience. Great review btw!
Story wise then yeah, and it has that nostalgic feel to it. Really good game, combat was a bit broken though.
Uf...
Going on nearly 2 years and more than 500 total hours, this game never really ends and there's always a reason to put it back in my xbox when I need a break from all the FPS titles.
lol I just love the way he says "evil shit" in this.
DUDE!...this review is awesome , I've never played Skyrim :(....but this review makes me want to buy it NOW!!!
oh my god, you're soooo right, I just love this game so much !
If I’ve doubled my Skyrim playtime from 30 to 70+ hours, I don’t even know how long I’ll be playing Skyrim on the PS5 for.
i loved skyrim, i have put in nearly 400 hours and half of that is due to the amount of amazing mods there are out there.
seeing this in 2020 quarantine
The Energizer commercial I got before the video has the exact same background as the video.
Just got this on steam. Amazing so far
How u liking it?
I really didn’t like this game until I saw Jeremy’s review and decided to try range combat. Archer or mage is definitely the way to go!
dude I have put easily over 500 hours into the game, and there are still a shit ton more side quests to do, but it never gets boring. it's on of those games you can play over and over again and love it even more each time. skyrim is my absolute favorite game of all time
you know once your core skill gets to 100 you can make them legendary and restart that core skill from lvl15, and in skyrim if you level up more and more the normal weapons in the chests have a chanse to be remplased with something more powerfull, the special and powerfull items are unlocked to appear on the chests if you keep leveling up more and more
OMG I finished all side quests (inc. DLC) and main quest in 220 hours! What did you do for the other 1000?!?!
I often my myself going back to your channel.
Basicly... I'm subscribing.
