I am all for it, being creative and solving problems is the way to excel.
The engineering side says that this thing is going to cause a lot of damage to the hammer assy. The size of the bit, the offset distances from centerline and the width are going to multiply all the impact forces in ways that will destroy the mechanical assembly. Hammers and shears destroy themselves just using bare bones implements, this is going to speed that process up quite a bit.
I still love the ingenuity and willingness to try, you can't learn if you never do.
You're right this is unusable in anything other than caliche. My BIL could dig that hole square using the original hammer they started with; I've seen his work personally. Cheap? No. He was extremely skilled.
There's a comment down below about burying the comments from people who cant build and just critize instead. But having seen the inside of a lot of broken mashed up demolition hammers, and making heavy equipment implements and repairing my own/making mods in my own workshop. Your comments are absolutely spot on. The non hardened insides will look like marshmellows that someones stood on after a hours runtime also. Maybe people should not tell people not to critique because maybe just maybe there are people experienced in the area who have valid input. Just they dont have a slick youtube channel and want to make videos about it. Curtis's work is much better, not sure why I even watched this channel, was just curious because I thought they were going to make the whole demolition hammer.
That's a badass design and awesome piece of equipment. Top notch builds and channel, always looking forward to your uploads.
DUDE, that was fricken AWESOME! One the best builds of the year hands down. Ya'll need to take that to market.
Really cool design.
Gonna wear out though...
Great!
Creative people 'see' the completed project before they start. Totally enjoyed watching you create what you 'saw'.
Fantastic piece of engineering! I always look forward to your videos. 👍🏻
now just the question of what they are digging a massive hole in the shop floor for 0_0
Because, if you are lucky enough to own an excavator, you to would be digging random holes all the time :)
Lift table I bet
This for bunker we gonna face it a World War 3 soon
@@cm-ek4ci I hope this and not another bunker
Hopefully it's to bury the negative comments we'll see by those who can't build; only criticize: "What you should have done is-I can already see a problem.." 🤔
Isn't it amazing how much fun you can have when you're playing with all the right toys?
Great heavy metal engineering there, looking forward to see the new workbench coming out of the floor too!
Great work, great video, great quality: congratulations. Impressive overall quality. 👍👍
Absolutely genius! Perfect! I wish I had your talents. Beautiful work
You guys never cease to amaze me-your designs, builds, lathe work and editing is always great. In fact, now I just give a 👍 before I even start watching. Btw; dig a hole to bury the comments we always see from those who can't build, so they criticize instead: "What you should have done is-I can already see a problem.." 🤔 God bless.
Like creative solutions and amazing talented craftsmanship! But in my experience I don’t see that it can hold up very long with the kind of continuous impact. Cool tool and build just the same! Let’s revisit
Just wondering why you are setting up your excavator backwards? Pro Tip: Always place the blade Behind the machine when digging or pecking. The reason is that it provides more leverage. Notice that when you press down with the boom, the front of the machine (in this case, the blade) moves up. Spin it around and the blade will actually be pressing back against the downward force from the tip of the boom.
Also, with the blade in front, you are forcing your machine farther away from the digging or working area, forcing you to often reposition the machine. You are also not able to see clearly down into the hole. When you are digging, you limit your curl, and often clip the bucket on the blade, causing damage to both parts.
You only need the blade/tool facing the work area when you are actually using it to push material.
Do this one thing and your production time will greatly improve. This is one of the first things they teach you when you go to school to become an Operating Engineer. It is also in the manual.
Putting the drive motors towards the front when you are digging or traveling will cause premature wearing. The idlers use bigger bearings and are less expensive to repair. Consult your operating manual as it will tell you to do the same. The dozer blade is not there for a leveraging tool although in the real world it is used as one.
Man, I am a huge fan of the old videos but your production quality is off the charts now.
Thought you were making the hammer, was interested in the hammer mechanism. Turned out to be a shovel. Disappointment ensued. Still entertained, still subscribed!
Brilliant work, friend👍👍👍
I always enjoy these videos. The best part is trying to puzzle out how you will get to the finished item from the raw start.
Engineering, build quality, creativity, and entertainment all top notch!
It always amazes me how clever some people are that is a brilliant piece of equipment
You Guys Never Disappoint !!!!! You better Patent that idea.... That's awesome .
You are so talented. The logo! Now you’re just showing off!! 😂 your on a different level my friend in metal fabrication. Great work.🇨🇦
Next episode, make it extreme digs a tunel from their workshop to Colin's shed.
perfect edition, perfect machine, this is perfect extreme
Great addon to the power hammer side of things. Also it's good to see you using one my favourite of your makes... That kickass vice! Love that thing!
Perfect for Colin Furze digging his underground tunnels 😁
After watching this video , i feel confident to go out to my soon to be shop and build one of these ! But first i need to learn how to weld ....also purchase a lathe and figure out how to use it ! Probably something else I'm forgetting but ya ! You don't succeed unless ya try right ? Awesome build guys
The force isn't directly behind the chisel head. Thus might be an issue long term.
This implement needs the offset more than the power, definitely made for soft soil.
Looks like it's meant for hard dry clay soil, light duty but more than just 'hit it harder with a regular bucket' can do
Excellent tool.
Overall, this is a highly informative and enjoyable video for anyone interested in engineering. It showcases your talent and expertise while providing valuable insights and inspiration to fellow enthusiasts. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to watching more of your content in the future 👍👍👍
I love this sort of thing in raw form! However this edit production could almost in capture
Ones wife's attention to watch and enjoy too❤❤❤😊😊
It's like an extended build scene from a mission impossible type action movie 😂😂🎉🎉❤❤❤

I swear this video captures what John Wick does in his free time. Well done!
Brilliant work, guys! Really well done!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your families! 🖖😊
Nice work guys👍👍👍🤯🤯🤯🤯👍👍👍
A ordinary rotary haudralic decide world have been as easy to implement 😁 but still fun to watch
You guys just blow my mind with every project!
Well done! Something so complicated yet so simple!
How is the little project car coming one?
Been a while since the last update....
Amazing, what could you do if you had a full half hour to create something like this?
good job
Good job mister well done
Not sure why I’m watching this, but I now know exactly how grease zerks work!!
great build
Love the music would u be able to provide some captions on what ur building etc but awesome video thnx :)
Amazing work
Now That's an Extreme Tool ! 👍's Up
Get a Patent on that Right Away !!

p.s.- a Subscriber
i mean this would help a lot wile digging a grave with the excavator
Realy cool stuff!
Actually finding a person who BELONGS in a machine shop is so rare. You've made my day! Not only that- this is the first video in memory where I enjoyed the music. AWESOME!!
Another totally awesome video 😎
I look forward to seeing you prosper.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Super project !!!
You are digging for a compressor?
Every single YT channel seems to be digging holes, and making bunkers
This makes me a little worried
No workshop is complete without a Soviet vice
very good work👍👍👍
Greetings from West Germany🇩🇪🙋♂️
Most impressive
Hello from Vietnam
super champion !!
“Yo bro, wanna come over and dig a hole in my garage?” “Hell yeah.” “K, lemme build this thing first.”
your world is made of very hard stone
Awesome idea😁👍. You guys are extreme💪
Would it be possible to make a tank track cart that you pull in the sand? The ones with wheels dig into the sand. I thought about it and realized tanks use a differential and they aren't pulled so i didnt know it itd be possible to make. The handle has to almost guide the differential to control the tracks. On top of that they fold and fit in your trunk so its two challenges. Making it work and making it conpact. If you can figure that out youll be in every walmart come late spring
Also, not to knock down your skills as a fabricator, because there was a lot of work and skill involved in making this. However, the function of this can be performed by using a bucket with a butter bar on the tip.
*innovation never stops..*
No doubt beautifully engineered but the music, I expected Agent Smith to come barraging through a wall and start fighting everyone
Magníficent.
Very cool
Flawless like always
Bravissimi 👏
Can you show us how to make a bunker next?
Awesome job, dude.😀👍😀👍
Merry Christmas, dude.❄⛄🎄⭐🎅🎁
Congratulations and welcome to 2024.🎆🎇
Great video.
I hope that’s not a “Silence of the Lambs” pit.
It spreads the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again
This tool is not going to last. Mild Steel with that much mass on the chisel will deteriate by itself fast. Sorry guys but there are tilt-rotation units just of the shelf to put inbetween the hammer and the boom. Its still going wo wear out by the beating of the hammer, but leaves way more juice for the hammer itself
Nice build but if you didn't have a constant need for it then a pickaxe and a little healthy exercise would be faster and way cheaper :P
But this was a helluva lot more fun to watch!
Super gut 🔩🔧
This will fall apart in one day of good use. Good TH-cam nonetheless.
22:25 looked like it broke! 🤷♀️ 😅
It's still free to rotate in one direction. Design flaw.
Tidy!
Colin Furze collaboration?
Whats the tool at 03:38 called?
Dopo quanti colpi si è rotta? 10?
How to make an easy job harder than it needs to be just use a normal Chisel bit in the breaker too much faffing about
3:55 - Made in USSR 😃
Good design, but the tool is too wide given the size and weight of the machine.
Wow. Patent Pending. How much?
PLEASE, PLEASE get rid of the mind numbing music. It’s the machines we want to hear.
Well said 👏👏👏
Interesting video but the backing 'music' is so irritating I had to mute it. Exactly the same thing with just the sounds of the machinery would be infinitely better.
THose teeth need a bit more welading closer to the tips so dirt and rocks wont eventually bend them up 😉
