In the eighties I was part of the electrical team on pier 50 SF laying out power for a machine shop build. We laid rigid galvanized pipe of various sizes right on the floor according to a specific layout all strapped and anchored. After inspection by engineers, a concrete company formed and reinforced ,poured ,finished a beautiful 5 inch slab right over the top of our pipe with a smooth ramp on all sides so forklifts and pallet jacks could effortlessly move about . All stub ups were perfectly vertical and placed. We pulled our wire and completed hookups and here comes all the new machinery….. wow! This stuff was gorgeous and brand new. After install the safety lines were painted by professional painters. All the mills, lathes , presses and associated machinery were overwhelmingly perfect.. it lasted only 5 years due to company closing And it was eventually stripped and butchered and sold off. I learned that people in business have no soul and can’t appreciate such things…. The area was taken over by underwhelming pursuits. It was nice to be part of building someone’s dream shop. Unfortunately serving the shipping industry was a mistake due to cheap competition and unstable economics. The Make it Extreme guys remind me of passion and purpose with handmade quality so rare today and a tribute to the excellent machinist of days gone by. Today computers and operators do that work very well but it lacks something . Old school was cool but this is how it’s done today. I’m a boring old man telling one story out of many…….. let the old guy reminisce.

I would LOVE IT if you did a video on how you guys do threads on your lathe. There are so many of us that either our skills or our lathes prevent us from doing threads well. I don't even fully understand what to look for in a lathe that can do threads as nicely as yours seems to do.
rigidty. That's the main thing. His does threads so well becuase it is a big, heavy machine. Sharp Tools are you next best friend. There are TONS of tutorials on thread cutting on youtube, just search for it

just a normal die grinder with table attachment, using a basic chamfering metal cutting bit. they have a bearing at the end of the bit to limit depth of cut.
@@dimitar4y Thanks for the answer but I've never seen (and can't seem to find) anything called a table attachment for a die grinder and I've never seen a die grinder with that sort of thumb activation on the back. Great work, but for me the knurling would need to be perfect, and it isn't. Knurls should be pyramids with no flat areas on top... it's simple to achieve, so why produce lesser quality knurls?
This video shows what one has to do when you forget to emboss the sided of a seat, but don't want to take the seat apart again. what I find annoying it the embossing on the side of the gear shifter is at an angle due to the bulk of the tool.
Always love the videos from this channel, but that background music is irritating. Always just enjoyed the high speed sound of the machines. I know the music have been there for a long time, but somehow now it removes focus from the build and that is a sad thing.
When are you going to get a proper spray booth with a dedicated spray rig? Rattle cans are for amateurs. I worry for your health (and all the overspray on the tools).
Я надеюсь этот экстремальный инструмент пригодится не только для того чтобы делать выпуклые отверстия на этом сидении, надеюсь у вас есть и второе сидение😅😂🎉

You can use it to extract or install busing for excavator and similar hydraulic systems.
Your builds never fail to satisfy. *Well done* as always.
Seems like some multistart threada would be perfect for changing the tooling on this thing
Pretty spiff way to make flanges...love it!
Did you realized that the first dimple on that seat was wrong?😂😂😂
That tool would also make a hell of a knockout cutter too!
do you make accessory/tool boxes for the custom tools you make? I'd like to see it if you do.
Will this go in the Guinness Book of Records for the most threads cut in one video? 😄
Another masterpiece - I can see you getting a lot of use out of that one!
This dude is the lathe God 💪😲👍

And so nice to see that you started using a primer mate 😁
Sir do you use pre-honed tubes ?
May I ignorantly ask what use/application the domed discs might have? Apologies if I'm missing the obvious, thank you!

What in the world was that little hand router you used for the chamfering? That thing was SWEET!!

Great build, I can see dimpling 16-20 gauge for making panels more rigid so are you using it on the thicker material for the dimple look?
This would be handy for anything too big to fit in a normal press.

What is benefit of using 6 jaw chuck?
0:50 When those inner threads are cut in multiple passes like that, how do you ensure you're cutting right in that groove and not slightly off?

There is a thread counter by the leadscrew. When it turns to the same spot you engage the power feed

Que espesor estas usando en las planchas ?
Que material de acero es ?
is there anywhere I can see a list of tools you have? such as type of lathe, mill ect.
what an awesome tool👍👍
