@@Ullr94 Obedience Schooled doesn't cut it anymore? Well it does negate the monsters summoned and locks you into Beasts, so yeah, I can see why a Bonfire-esque card would work 😄
The only thing I would change, and I'm sure you did, is to link into Raging Phoenix instead of Amblowhale. I came across this video for ideas for a Altergeist deck, and I definitely found it!! One card I must use is Secret Village of Spellcasters, because it's funny
Yep, Raging Phoenix is just a better alternative to Amblowhale (but wasn't out yet at the time of recording). Oh yeah, shutting people down with Secret Village is quite funny. This deck cannot properly search it though, and I don't think you want to run three from the get go, but it surely is a game winner in its own right!
@@cognitivegrub0 Why would Raging Phoenix be better for the endboard than Amblowhale? Don't you need Amblo to revive Hexstia for the extra disruption? Raging Phoenix is useful for the OTK but going first just seems like less disruption.
@@Capta1nTD You are right, it is a different flavour. Altergeist usually has no problem disrupting, but are somewhat weaker in OTK-ing, hence the assessment that it is 'better'. I would run both to have access to both flavours when I need them.
I have a question about malwisp: why can you still search with meluseek eventhough malwisp reads "Special Summon it in Defense Position, but for the rest of this turn, it *cannot activate* its effects."
Hey boss! Love your work! At 2:57 min, i think it would be better to summon marionetter instead of peritrator, that way you can send faker to the GY and reborn Hexstia to the MMZ. This way when you link into Adminia your Hextia has 4500 atk and the spell/trap neg is already live. Same board essentially, just rearranged the card position.
The main reason I've build the board this way is that you have more options when you respond to cards. Since Hexstia is forced to tribute the monster it points to, you preferably want to use the effect of the monster it points to first (in my case Silquitous). If we'd put Adminia right of Hexstia, we could be put in a pickle down the line when we'd want to respond to a spell/trap with Hexstia. I do think both options have their advantages and disadvantages (the main reason for your line would be to not have to include the 'bricks' that are Peritrator and Revitalization). It is definitely a viable option, so thanks for letting me know this line!
Watching your replays i added the fitst combo to my deck, but done a little bit different on ratios. -4 All spells -3 Evenly +1 Silqutious +2 Anti-Spell Fragrance +1 Personal Spoofing +3 Solemn Strike The strikes are just handtrap counter... like nib while being a generic useful card. The 1 Spoofing is just to do the Multifaker into Silqutious. Not sure which 1 plays better but both will make people pull their hair out lol
Yeah, that should work too! Personally not a fan of Spoofing (as you cannot search it), but these videos are a nice starting point and for everyone to tweak to their liking, so I am happy you did!
Me encanto, me suscribo, sigue con este contenido con varios arquetipos. Gracias y saludos. I loved it, I subscribe, continue with this content with various archetypes. Thanks and regards.
Not really. You can obviously play more traps and go for less combo/summons. Also you can add 1 Crossout + 1 Nib yourself to have the slightest odds against having Crossout in hand to counter Nib. Overall, I think this deck does reasonably well when it goes unchecked, but has some certain counters (e.g., Nib) that stops it from reaching meta status, I think.
Both have been Duel Links character themes. Forgot which I used for the first 3 combos, but I ended on the Ghost Girl theme (as she plays Altergeist in the anime).
at 2:07, wouldn't it be better to discard the trap? then your normal summon could be used for the lvl4 since it sets an altergeist trap from the deck, you'd have the same field result but with a plus1 on the hand
Whilst I would agree, the scope of this video is to showcase combos using the fixed starters present in the banner at the start of the combo. We pretend that all remaining cards are 'blanks' (no names nor effects that are useful). However, due to how Master Duel is structured there is no way to do hand fixes. Anyway, the combo you are referring to was showcasing what to do when you have only Meluseek + Pookuery (however we searched Meluseek with One for One and a discard). Marionetter is not part of the presented combo.
How do you feel about SP or IP in the deck list? I don’t wanna craft my anima. I’ve put it off for so long lol I prefer the slower deck but it’s nice to see my combo options when I do get the option.
SP alone is already great, and it is even better with IP. So yeah, those will work great. SP just wasn't out at the time of recording, so it wasn't inculded, but it is defininitely a great option!
@@cognitivegrub0 I just am not a fan of anima because people play around it 95% of the time. It’s a great card but it’s so great that people are aware of its existence so it doesn’t feel great anymore. If that makes sense
To which combo/starting hand are you referring to? And which Talker do you mean, Accesscode (which is generally not made going firstbut often used as an OTK tool)?
There is a link to a decklist in the description, but for convenience, I've also copied it here: ygoprodeck.com/deck/altergeist-471444 P.s. All combo guides from about a year ago to now will have a decklist in the description (in case you've watched another video of mine).
This is a combo guide, in order to fully control the environment I am playing against myself. So please ignore the opponent's cards for the sake of the guide 😅 Anti Nib lines are not plenty in this deck, as it tends to be weak (compared with meta decks) to monster effects. You could play a trap heavier build to not rely on monsters that much, but that one will be much slower than this build. So there will always be a bit of a trade off. Another option is to pack a Crossout and Nib yourself, but even then chances are slim of you pulling it at the right time. Hope this explains it a bit.
As I see it, adding manifestation and getting faker in grave to be added of banshee helps, then after being nib'd you still end on set manifestation and faker in hand which is two disruptions, could also hold revitalization for follow up after being nib'd
For that combo we start with Marionetter and Mutlifaker and to show a combo with just them, we assume the other 3 cards are blanks/non-existent. That means that we assume the Pookuery already in our hand is not there, so we need to search it for the combo to work. I do agree it is better to search Protocol when you already have Pookuery, but that was not the focus of the combo.
@@cognitivegrub0 okay that's fair. Second question: Can Kunkuery really do her protection effect in the same turn that Promethean is summoned? Aren't you locked into Fire summons for the rest of the turn after you interrupt a summon on your opp's turn with Promethean, thus no battle phase protection afterward from Kunkuery?
@@Ntimidation Promethean Princess only locks you into fire summons when she is on the field. So if she is still/already on the field you cannot activate Kunquery, but when she has been removed (by battle or card effect), we can protect our LP with Kunquery, hopefully letting us survive for another turn.
It is now banned in the TCG but still very legal in Master Duel. I don't think that there is a 1-card combo without Linkuriboh for Altergeist at this given moment, but I'll try to find one (if there really is one). To other combo's are not strictly relient on Linkuriboh, so you can always perfom those.
@@JakeTheJay You are right! That would work mostly similar during our own turn, but we cannot use it like Linkuriboh during the opponent's turn (in the 1st combo, we cannot tribute off the just reborn Meluseek to trigger its search effect). So you would have a little less to work with. Edit: Meluseek does need to be normal summomed for it to be eligible to be linked off for Almiraj, so One for One will no longer be a starter for it. Relinquished Anima would then be a suitable target to go in to.
En el primer duelo Kounquery no puede ser usado porque está Promethean en campo. Juega contra oponentes reales, no contra amigos, no tiene mucho sentido hacer duelos de fantasía
Ah yes, as long as Promethean is in the field, you'll probably survive the turn, which would be great. However, when they get rid of your Princess you may be able to use Kunquery (when there is an Altergeist card still on the field, doesn't have to be a monster) to negate an additional attack whilst blocking possibly an other. It is situational at best, I agree with you on that, but calling it a fantasy duel seems a bit farfetched. It is performed in a vacuum, true, but not in a fantasy. But if you don't like it, just ignore it, you may not be the intended audience.
