Wow!! I totally love this. I am always fascinated by engineering structures and how they push the envelope to build so high. My little brain can't comprehend how tall these structures have become and how they stay upright. Great video, love the music too!! I want to see more!! :o)

Its swaying like hell. One day it can break. You probably cant get out easily from top floors. Must be hell during storms. And it damages panorama around central park, terrible.

111 West 57th (Steinway Tower) does have occupants today. Sometimes easier to see which ones are occupied while viewing at night.

Every time I make a video on a New York building using your cutscenes targeting the building in question, I’m always frustrated because several months after you come out with new renderings that are still as beautiful (and often an advancement of buildings under construction or best views). 🤣🤣

Amazing feat of engineering getting that built in between older buildings. Great footage too. I hope the residents are happy there. I wonder if the winds will make a whistling sound from the top hollow section? Might make a beautiful chiming sound in Central Park.

that is amazing but one has to wonder how much does the building sway in the wind and what, if any, engineering solutions are incorporated into the construction to dampen the effect of wind sway.

I was watching a video tour of an inside apartment here, and all I noticed was how dirty all the windows were. Can they even wash the outside of the windows?
Of course, they wash them. The first wash will happen when construction is complete.
They should of added lights to the spire / crown of the building…it would of looked quality at night

Just out of curiosity, when was this filmed? I keep seeing scaffolding up on the crown of 787 7th Avenue, and I wonder what they're doing to it. NYC is changing so much, and I miss it terribly.

Has construction stalled since the crane incident?
Some progress on the facade. They uninstalled the crane successfully. They added a window washer rig (visible on top of tower). But yeah, seems to be moving along slowly. But i'm rooting all the way!
@@theDronalist I hope it completes and opens soon. It would be a shame if one of NYCs tallest buildings was an unfinished abandoned concrete stick.

Probably the most beautiful skycraper i've ever seen. But could not live on the top floor...
25 years ago, we called the 6-storey buildings in our neighborhood "too high", but now our neighborhood is filled with 12-storey buildings. I think I would have come crawling to the edge of the glass in the building in the video.

Wow, I completely agree with you - the Chrysler Building is the best designed skyscraper -- both functional and beautiful -- and the World Trade Center was ugly to me. Just my humble opinion. The Plaza Hotel and the other older buildings are beautiful and artistic -- the modern ones are "cold." Have you seen "The Vessel" at Hudson Yards? The ugliest thing ever built by people!

The crane is gone! When 157 went up it was championed as ultimate . . . but now? This one kind of resembles Standard Oil on 5th. And takes after the Pantheon in Rome with the exterior. Just really looks nice. And a person could have a complete floor!
Do they have more than a consierge (don't know the correct spelling) at a desk? Wouldn't want a strange person getting on elevators accessing private, single-occupancy residences, you know?
Is there a reason why most of your videos were taken at dusk or dawn? They all look great but I think that if you took a video at midday you could get a lot more light, which could result in even better looking videos with more vivid colors. Anyway, I really like your videos on this channel.
It’s probably a personal preference of his because of the style it gives. The color tone of light is a lot warmer during these times of the day which is very pleasing nonetheless. Plus if you shoot video midday, light is very harsh thus making shadows very dark. A lot of cameras cannot retain much color or detail with extreme contrasts in light/dark situations. You end up sacrificing one for the other in most cases

That skyscraper is not finished yet until the central tower is already finished and started a little later
Actually Central Tower is not finished, still lots to do inside. And Steinway is way more complex.

I remember watching Star Wars as a kid there was like just a regular skyline but it seemed like they were all thousands of feet in the air, no buildings had any base to them. They just continued downwards forever. And I thought “woww in the future, eventually every building will just be so tall that they’ll all be a thousand feet or more. And then a few will be like 3000-4000 ft but the average building will just be a skyscraper.” Seeing buildings like this, it makes me think we’re getting there
