how long have you been an FA? - since april 2022
when did you get the job? - jan 2020
why didn't you go to training until april 2022? - covid put an indefinite halt on training for all airlines. my company held onto my job offer and then brought me back in 2022

I’m actually considering transferring to SEA next year. NYC is sooo expensive but I feel like I would miss the international in NYC.
Do you have any pros and cons about SEA base? By the time I transfer, I should be about a year into working

@vivift - Different airlines call the FA's position as part of cabin crew different things. "Working A" for Kendra's airline is the same as working "Position #1" for American Airlines - It's the FA that greets you as you board the aircraft and then handles those passengers in First Class. Not sure if Delta follows the same pattern, but for American, #2 is the back galley, #3 assists #1 and also works Business Class, and #4 is the "floater," assisting Business Class and Main Cabin. Hope that helps!

Kendra. First, always enjoy seeing Nebula and Murph. They are spectacular stars. Second - ADHD. You coulda fooled me, girl. I fin d you quite on point and most articulate, humane, and in touch with your inner self. Now, as for SLC, your frustrations are obvious and logical. I would expect the base to be more geared toward those with a sorta 9 to 5 FA philosophy instead of a person like you who is all about expanding your horizons and self awareness through myriad experiences. Daddy D, since we do not name names, IS my favorite airline, period, snd I know it is yours too. I know a lot about its history and have followed it since my first trip on it in 1964 Historically there was a base in Dallas until maybe around 2004 or 2005, and it should re-open that base, because there is a hole in the southern US operations between SLC and ATL. Could you hold a line at LAX and afford the living costs in OUR home town? Just some thoughts. Your friend, whose first pet was a cat and whose most recent pet, tragically gone, was a basset named Ms Priscilla - Herman
So why are you based there? Sounds like you love your airline, and hate your base.
@sccolamale1 - She's based there because she and her husband live in the SLC area, so she doesn't have to commute to work like she did when originally based in NYC or SEA.
