- Picked up a dream knife used for an unbeatable price and definitely had to sell some of my knives to grab it! It’s not all it’s cut out to be except in one area. It’s tough as nails and has one super tough knife tip!
Bark River Knives - Model: Gunny
Blade Grind: Scandinavian Convex edge
Steel: cpm-3v - กีฬา
This is one of my dream knives. I gotta get one! Thanks for the video!
You bet!
Great review, thanx. Gunny Scandi 3v has been for years one my absolute best knives. I have a variation with a clip point. Did also a small review of it in my chanel, if youˋ re interested.
Cheers from Finland!
I will take a look!
Hello my friend, superb knife in the field. Very interesting 🙏👍
it’s definitely interesting. Once I get used to using it, it could be one of the best!
Thanks man. I'm waiting for my preorder like a kid on Christmas.
that’s awesome!
Great video brother thanks
No problem 👍

literally zero damage of any kind to the edge, or knife in any way. Tough as nails, edge cutting ability didn’t change
it was fine! Exactly how i showed it in the video. It’s too thick lol
Hi
Is the gunny scandi skeletonized or full tank?
Thanks!
full tang!! Super full!!
Where did you get this knife? Haven’t seen a scandi version for sale in awhile
He has an older model. They just did preorders on more tho.
@@jakematthews2458 where? Must not have been at DLT? I’ve been all over that site doing preorders for months now…
@@shadeshiest22 I put mine in back in February and have no idea when they stopped. Don't worry though, if you keep up with it you'll have a great chance to get one when they drop at dealers.
completely by chance online used!
@@jakematthews2458 what version gunny scandi did you pre-order? What steel?
Ohhhhhhhhhh man…….
You lost me as soon as you started digging with it.
How big is the blade???
It's 3.75"
10:57 that hurt
how come??!
You just stuck your knife into the dirt. What is wrong with you
It’s not an axe , get the proper tool for the job, don’t diss a knife for not doing what an axe is to do
He was doing perfectly normal activities with it, and the knife underperformed.
Frankly, using a knife as a baton is often much safer than using an axe. This is standard outdoor use of a knife. To pretend any different is disingenuous at best.
I know full well an axe is better. This was just me testing it. Maybe on a large 8 hour hike I never ever ever use the knife. However, at least I know what the tool i’m carrying can do. On a day hike you carry 3-5L of water, food, first aide, bear spray and one knife. As little as possible. The axe just weighs more and you have to carry another tool you may never ever use. You can see why I like this knife if you think about what i’m saying or your can internet bash me.
