    Does sealing the jar stop the fermenting? Or does it need to be stored in the fridge/canned somehow?

      Superchemlady , great question. Sealing the jar doesn't stop the fermenting but it does slow it down. You don't need to refrigerate, but the longer it sits the stronger it will get. We usually try to use ours in about a year or less.

    I TRIED IT WITH VODKA AND IT SMELLS LIKE VANILLA BUT IT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE VANILLA, I PUT 7 VANILLA BEANS IN A QUART JAR AND OPENED IT UP 6 MONTHS LATER AND IT TASTE LIKE VODKA. LOL WHAT CAN I DO??? ADD MORE VANILLA BEANS?

      Try shaking the jar a bit periodically as the vanilla ages. Depending on the quality and grade of your vanilla beans, they may take a little longer to age. Dont give up!
