    “Never miss an opportunity to STFU”…. That’s excellent advice for all walks of life. Really good advice and video. You can absolutely hear the passion in your voice for what you’re doing, and that’s a great thing my man. Keep on keeping on and don’t worry about the haters.

      @@I_irritate_assholes A true M/C would never accept LEO into a club. If they make an oath to the law, and then break the law, they have no honor. If they turn an eye to a member breaking the law, they have no honor. If you are in a club, and you snitch on your “brothers” you’re not a brother.

    Cool video dude. I love the Biker aesthetic and the Alpha mindset as well as some aspects of the culture. However as a rider myself, I could never be tied down to some small group as such. Furthermore as a Conservative American, I'll only give my life for two things, my family and my country. I'll be damned if I'm gonna die for some motorcycle club. Fuck that.

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and for the comment. I’m with you, it isn’t for everyone and the culture has its quirks that make it very hard to grasp and hard to believe that people would be willing to give everything up for their club. Club is family to the members which is the reason they are willing to die for it. Thanks again and I appreciate you watching.

    Being a Prospect is an honor. Should be treated as such. Never wait to be told to do anything. Always stand up for your Club. My brother is bringing me to the Clubhouse this weekend and I am meeting the Chapter President. I spent 7 years in the US Army and I miss the camaraderie with the soldiers I served with. So being a prospect to me is an honor. Hell wash a members bike. Naw. Detail it. Make is shine like a diamond.

    Back in late 75 , I got invited to a run , by this hang around with one of the 2 clubs that was having this run . I had 2 bikes there , the 50 fl , pan , that was old school , foot clutch, jockey shift , 21” frt wheel , apes , and a sporty, which was pretty much stock . But I just sat by my bike , until they came to my bike , and one of the guys from the larger club , of the 2 , after 2 days , asked me if I wanted to prospect . All the club members , took notice , of me , they , saw how I handled myself , how I talked , acted , and they knew what I was , I got along with them , I felt like , my marine, buddies , alot where vets , from nam . I had never been , I should have , but nixion , saw fit that the closest I got was okinawa, for a year , I was in 71-75 . But , I showed that I had class , knew how to give and get , respect ! When to talk , all that lifestyle had to offer , and I could hold my own , that a member , wouldn’t ask you to do , shit ,that he wouldn’t do , and that went for most crazy thing you they could think of . I never had to do that grunt work , wash , bikes , do dishes, they knew from day one , that would do anything asked of me , and quick , and balls , they knew I was crazy , so a lot of times , I was the entertainment, I could make them laugh , till their guts was hurting . That’s why I made full patch in just 59 days , I got asked to be an officer of the club , shortly after , the treasurer, the rode cap , always had me up front , cause I had the coolest ,loudest bike in the chapter . Now , the club , is just fading into history, as most of the old guard , have died , and the interest, just didn’t grow , I dropped back , in 04 , due to health issues , but I still see them , the ones who are left ! I sure as fuck , miss those those old times , with my brothers , riding side by side , raising hell where ever we went , and have lost a lot of my , brothers, in arms , it was the best , days in my life , bar none , but , time goes on……..

      Just got this today , but back in the day , everbody , was checked out real good , before they even got asked to prospect … so if a brother told you to do some thing , first off , my post , sounded a bit faggy , that most def , was not the case ! I said just short of that , I should have clarified, no one was ever asked to do any thing in that regard , but I did have like 8 prospects , climb on top of the edge , of the beer truck , drop trow , pull their ass cheeks apart , and bend over so all the club could hear them as they yelled , “I Am an , asshole” it was well received ,but it was not the norm ! But unlike some clubs , back then once you got the patch , you was a brother , no xceptions , if you wanted to fight , well , ya just worked that out yerselves ! But that was the end of it ! But fuck , them , was the good ole days , and I got to be apart of it , big time ! 😁

    Did you become a member yet? I really wan a join a club. But I've spoken to people about 1% clubs and of course I've seen SAMCRO and that's not really what I'm looking for. I'm totally down with being a prospect (cleaning, helping out etc) but I don't wanna be told to hurt or kill someone to join the club. Which I've been told is a common request for prospective members.
    Is this true?

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, no that’s not true. No club is gonna tell you to hurt someone or commit a crime. That’s how the media and fake television shows portray clubs. Find a club in your area and start spending time around them and you’ll see what they are about and that it’s nothing like what you see on tv. Thanks for watching.

    What would a shirt with brass knuckles and 2222 in each knuckle signify? It's an exs shirt but idk if he lied about like... everything...

    • @BigSmittyRiding

      So the 22 is for the 22nd letter in the alphabet V. There a big 1% that starts with a V. Now I can’t say for sure if that shirt is affiliated with them but a Google search of the shirts colors and any symbols will show you if this shirt is one if there’s. I don’t say names on purpose because If I do you’ll have a bunch of people on here jumping to conclusions. Check it out and you can verify if what he said was true or not. Thanks for watching!

    I'm trying to find two specific pieces of information.
    1) What do these clubs do? I've heard of "putting in the work" but nobody likes to mention the work.
    2) I'm in the Midwest. How does any of this exist, in 2ft of snow?

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So putting in work is working for your club. Any tasks that need to be done to keep the club running smoothly. Simple things like cleaning or bigger tasks like errands for the club or making preparations for meetings, runs etc.
      There’s a ton of Midwest clubs that ride. Idk about how they handle things when it’s deep snow but I assume they ride as much as possible while they can.
      Thanks for watching!

    I came close to being a Prospect, but unfortunately the club disbanded or whatever. Anyways, I was told by the member who tried to recruit me. That if someone dares me to do something, as a Prospect, I have to take that dare. But, there is a loophole on a chance to get out of it. Take the dare, but tell the member who made the dare that they have to do it with you.

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Clubs and chapters are disbanded from time to time. I had the same thing happen to me. As far as the dare goes, I’ve never been told to tell them to do the dare with me. I’ve been told numerous times they won’t as or dare you to do anything they wouldn’t do. But different clubs have different ways so that could be what’s expected for that club. Thanks for watching and good luck to you.

    grate video my self and some friends got an invite to a club I have a lot of respect for the club everything was going grate I did not talk to anyone unless I was talk to first. could you please let some people out there not to do what a x-friend did at the club I tried to tell him not to do what he did he told me to go F **k my self so I walked away and did not get involved. He sat on a club member bike and he ended up in hospital for 2 weeks. Because I did not jump in to help him out he and the other two are calling me a coward. Did I do the right thing in walking away or not.

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a tough situation to be in. First of all he should know better than to sit on anyone’s bike, ever unless he was asked to do so. Non club members would have done the same thing to him in most cases. Secondly, if you tried to warn him and he ignored you then that’s on him, not you. You tried to help him and he’s just mad he got his ass kicked. Bad situation to be in but in my mind you did what you could and he should have known better.

    Former support here: Even though i didn't get to the prospect phase (gang dismantled in 2020), i really offered my help any time possible. Need spoons? Mikelodeon goes for them. Need smokes? Let Mikelodeon go get you some.
    Also, when we finally got decent chairs, i went with the Sgt. at Arms (my sponsor) to mount them (We are best friends and we were on our university years) one by one in one afternoon and then stamping them up with the MG's logo.
    When i met the main MC on our area (Abutres Europe) i stood there, i got introduced by the Sgt at Arms to one of the highest members in our country, my presence got accepted. I only spoke when i had to.
    One protocol thing i did was to stand up when someone came into the Club House, even tho it was not needed to, the higher ups saw it as i was respecting the members.
    One thing i remember very well is when i got the leather vest and the support patch: October the 1st 2019 (gang dismantled because the VP moved to Germany and the MC world was really unstable, so we had no option).
    Last thing: I really loved to go to places with the vest on. It was amazing. I was representing the club, even tho i was just a support/hang around. People looked at us amazed by our colours. I really miss 2.19. BSSF

You need to ensure the people applying for membership embrace the values of the organization and it's members, and their commitment to positively contribute to group and its members. I like the idea of clubs and brotherhood, but I just can't imagine sticking up for a "brother" that's wrong in situations-...I mean a psycho or lawless "brother" could get you killed for no reason and I would never want to be obligated to stick up for someone who doesn't care about their life at the expense of yours because of their demons....that just doesn't feel like brotherhood to me...you pulling them back and telling them they're in the wrong and talking some sense into them seems more like legit family...but I'm only speculating from TH-cam videos of what it's actually like from way on the outside looking in..all clubs are different I'm sure.

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see your point. And I’ll agree that if someone is hell bent on hurting themselves it’s hard to support them. But most brothers won’t put you in that position. 99% of them won’t. But even if they are wrong you stand by your fellow club members. And they’ll stand by you even if your wrong. Then deal with the situation afterwards. Just my opinion. Thanks for the feedback and for watching.

    Essentially, you want to treat the clubhouse and the club member’s bikes as your own, and you have a $h¡t ton of OCD. I have a $H¡t ton of OCD, and back when I was living at home (I’m in a nursing home due to Multiple Sclerosis), I used to do the dishes two to three times a day, I smoked back then (nicotine accelerates the progression of Multiple Sclerosis, so I quit cold turkey the day I was diagnosed), all of my ashtrays were spotless, looking brand new, I vacuumed in straight lines, and those were just the tip of the Proverbial Iceberg. Y’know, because you want, no NEED the club to be your own. The first motorcycle clubs were created by men coming home from war. Hence President, VP, etc… Prospecting is the motorcycle club’s version of bootcamp. There are a plethora of other similarities between the military and motorcycle clubs. Seriously, the longer this post is, the more circular it’ll become. So yeah, those are my thoughts. Love the video. These were just my thoughts while watching it. I grew up in a heavily uniformed neighborhood (military, police, etc…) and I took Army JROTC all four years in high school. Hey, sometimes there is a need for a woman’s POV. Y’know, just not IN the clubhouse, and definitely not in front of another club member. lol Just sayin’… (Okay, now I'm officially done. lol smh)

    Thing is protocol change from one club to the next, one country to the next. A biker might do something thinking he's following the protocol and get told he's wrong. The golden rule is: do not wear ANY patch that you haven't earned regardless of your standing in any club, regardless of what country you live in.

      Very true. Protocol is different for every club and even between chapters in certain clubs. Let the club dictate the protocol you follow. And you’re absolutely right, don’t wear a patch you haven’t earned. Thanks for watching.

    I have a question. My brother is not in a club, but was in a convience store a 1% and his prospect walked in and the prospect tried to cut the line. My brother told him to get his ass to the back of the line. The 1% walked out and sat on his bike. The prospect mouthed of again and got in a fight. 2 hits later, my brother hitting the prospect, then the prospect hitting the ground knocked the fuck out. When my brother walked out the 1% looked shook his head and laughed. What happened to that prospect? When my brother told me I mentioned he should have taken the prospects kutt and handed it to the 1%

      I wish I had a good answer for you. It sounds like to me the prospect was rude and the patch holder let him get taught a lesson in humility. I don’t know about taking his patch. I think he learned enough of a lesson. Some people learn the hard way. Some patch holders would have handled it differently but it sounds like he knew this prospect needed an education. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

    Prospecting simply put is paying your dues (not monetarily). "Simpley" don't mean it's easy.

      Man I’m very fortunate to be a prospect and to be around a great club. There’s good clubs out there and good people. Look around and see what clubs are in your area and check them out. I’m sure you can find some good folks in your area. Good luck and thanks for watching!
