Hell yeah! Keep driving Mike! I will always be a Mustang guy through and through, but I have owned and driven Lotus, Corvettes, Porsches, Cobras, Fairlanes, etc. Race drivers wheel everything. To be honest, if I am at a family reunion and I see to tricycles next to each other...... I'll run em...:)
I totally get where you coming from Mike. You want to expand your experiences in various vehicles and in different setups to further your product line from MMI. I think everybody including myself ties you to old blue because that's always saw you driving at the auto crosses and you still drive a Mustang with new blue. Keep rocking Mike you're the best.
So, many years ago I was doing a pick-up at Shelby America. It was late in the day and as I'm sitting in my truck getting ready to leave, I see a side exit open and guess who walks out. Yep, it was Carrol Shelby himself! Being the nosey f@ck that I am, I waited to see what he was driving. Every time I've asked anyone "What do you think he drove?", nobody ever even comes close. I always hear, "A Cobra, a Mustang, a Viper or a Series-1". Nope... it was a Porsche. Not being a Porsche guy, I'm not sure exactly which model number. I assume a 911 of some sort but it was most definitely a Porsche. Everyone seems shocked when I tell em that but think about it, it only makes sense. How else can you make your car better if you aren't familiar with the competition? Also, if he drove a Cobra, people would be like "Look, it's Carrol Shelby!" But in a Porsche, he's just another old rich guy in a Porsche.
