Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 is so sad and chillingly beautiful. Why is it so beautiful when I feel like I'm going to cry?
I feel he is moving Mozart into another realm with his playing, and the orchestra is fabulously making that new sound possible. A perfect collaboration. I am totally whistling this one in my apartment! No doubt--for me--this is the best Mozart Piano Concerto I have ever heard. Buchbinder... Wowwwwww. Talk about landing on the note!
He is wonderful. Saw him live with Beethoven concertos 1 and 5 last year, and I'm a fan since! His Mozart concertos are all the more fantastic.
