After watching some videos on this channel, I'm thinking more and more about not playing PvP or WvW. I'm a new player, so the skill gap is also there. And it's frustrating enough as it is, when you encounter some veteran players in unranked pvp, when you are at 23 pvp lvl. But on top of that, it seems like some of them may be using glitches, exploits, macros, or even payed additional programs to cheat. What depressed me so much is that no matter how hard I will try, even if I will "git gud", there are just cheaters and exploiters, who are unbeatable. And I just want to play with my-rank players, you know. Noobs will learn nothing, if they are instantly killed by "gods". But what I think is that: poor balance, exploits and cheats lead to decline of player population, so most of players left there in PvP are either demigods or straight up cheaters(in this or that way)
I think Anet auto-bans people who do many of these hacks though. Some kind of automated anti-hack system definitely exists, at least, because last year there was a mass suspension of accounts for “teleport hacks” where Anet’s system was failing to recognize when someone was a passenger on a turtle mount or teatime/noodle chair. It took like 3 weeks for people impacted to get developers to look into the situation and fix the code and reverse the suspensions. If I recall correctly there was a similar issue a couple of years before that as well.
These hacks have been in the game for years, Anet just ignore the issue. Sure they have glossed up a new ToS but hey words are meaningless if they continually just ignore the issues. They have even been told what sites are selling these hacks, one in particular is well known, but they ignore it.
@MsDurinu these hackscare not caused by their own code, they are created by people with the intent to break their code. Then again it's not just paid hacks players are using many are mow simply using different typed of macros to script sequences of moves in wvw and pvp. Anet are to blame though for just simply letting it happen continually without taking action.
Tilting at windmills. Nothing gonna change if Anet didnt move a finger in gw2 prime years , they wont do a single move now. Either move to another game or ignore such ppl . No other option. The only way to get banned with this software is automated ultra fast map exploration. In this case acc would be banned in 1-2 weeks by auto system they did setup any other hack is 100% unbnnable

Image hacking in a Guild Wars 2! One of the most casual mmorpg there is and paying to hack.
Side business anet? 🤑🤣

This makes so much sense! I knew I seen some crazy stuff but I just always assumed my class sucked

my hard work to get skyscale feels like meaningless now lol
I recently came back to the game and noticed an increase in abnormal activity in WvW.

These hacks have existed forever. It's terrible. I love GW2 but there is loser people who like to ruin good things for everyone, this is just the way.
i stopped caring when i saw first time multiboxers...anet doesnt care, i wont care...thats why im playing something else :)
Jeeez and it is new bc it has Wizrd's Vault as well :(
Ohh... true that. I haven't noticed... dang...
They don't fix the exploits caused by their own code, so imagine fighting hack programs.

hell total anarchy, its like gta 5
How you think gold sellers made their money?
Just keep recording and send anet the video. If anet continues to ignore... then all should be allowed to cheat
