The nostalgia in this video is HUGE!!! I can't forget how much fun this place was!!! We just lived down the street and got to go there often 🎉 🥳 We celebrated my son's birthday there with all the cousins, friends and family 🎈🎉 Great memories!!!
I remember my first time going to Bullwinkle 1987 with my family and my neighbors this was in Montclair California as my Uncle love the tater tots my mother love the chicken as for me and my brother love the pizza I love the arcade at all the fun boat rides well when we got old enough to ride them the location is no longer there but the memories are forever I can still smell the air in that restaurant
I 100% remember these places! I am a a few years younger than you (3 or 4?), but I went in '89 for my 5th birthday. I remember it had a HUGE building though compared to Chuck E. Cheese; this is awesome nostalgia, thank you for making this! I went to the Northridge and Upland locations. What are the odds we might have been there at the same time as kids? I'm sure it's not that unlikely to be honest.
Hey maybe we were there at the same time. Or at least Chuck E Cheese on Northridge. I went to both often. I had my birthday at Bullwinkle’s in probably 1987.
@@MisterrListersLounge the one with the red checked picnic tables. I posted some comparison pics of my 2nd birthday party and 7th birthday party at the Calgary Alberta Location. For my 2nd birthday, it was Bullwinkle’s. By my 7th birthday, the location had turned into a Chuck E Cheese. And I was showing the comparison of the building. It was Bullwinkle’s 1984-1991, and then Chuck R Cheese 1991-1995. Then it became a sports bar called Schanks!
I grew up in San Jose and went to the original flagship a few times in the early 90s. Sadly it closed in 97 or 98 and it's been a dialysis center since then. Meanwhile, i now live about an hour from the last Bullwinkle animatronics in tukwila Washington. It's just rocky and Bullwinkle, and they're not in the best shape, but it's something. It's nothing like the huge expansive original though.
It is a dialysis facility now but it was MMM Carpet in the 70s and then as made into Bullinkles. Then became The Avalon, a concert venue for a while and changed hands once had another name I cant remember. I saw Ronnie Montrose there less then a year before he died. I also saw a couple 80s bands play there. I no longer live in Santa Clara area but dam it was fun working there.
In all honesty I never even heard about this or even knew about it's existence except for Chuck E Cheese's but that was back in 1992 but it sure seems like a swell place to visit and even unwind! ☺️
I remember having birthday parties (and my friends) at the Bullwinkle's in Irvine, California. I think we had them until someone built an Indian food (not Native American) place called Caspian. Had my first and second grade birthday parties there, and I actually remember the salad bar that all the adults went to (it was on the left when you walked in) and people smoked cigarettes in there. It used to have a few games, like the those quarter games that guys used to play that would say if they're a "wimp" or "Hercules". The salad bar was there and they had a bar in the back. I only went in there with my dad and my grandma. Those were all I saw, but kids weren't supposed to be in there. I remember if you walked in to the right and at the end, there were the tables and animatronic stuff, which Chuck E. Cheese's ripped off (and Showbiz Pizza) but I do remember those early recordings of Chuck E. Cheese when he sounded like he was from Brooklyn, New York and had a cigar. You also had the ticket area (where you cashed them in for prizes) and the huge arcade area. It was fun, too bad they went out of business so soon.
I regret to inform you that the Northridge Location since been demolished, along with 777 Lawrence Expressway Bullwinkle’s 1155 Graves Ave Bullwinkle’s 16922 Magnolia Street Bullwinkle’s & 14100 Culver Drive Bullwinkle’s The Huish Family Fun Center Bullwinkle’s locations left are: 1560 West 7th Street Upland - Show destroyed - Plans to renovate *moar* 7300 Fun Center Way Tukwila Washington - Last Show 29111 SW Town Center Loop W Wilsonville Oregon - Show destroyed

Thank you for this video! I never had the chance to visit one myself and I was having great difficulty finding information about this chain online!
You’re welcome. There is definitely a lack of information about this beloved restaurant! Glad you found it useful. 😀

This is a very well made video. Thanks.
There was also an Archie's chain of restaurants based on the Archie comics. I always wanted to go.
One of those pics is from my birthday party!
That’s amazing! Which one?

Who wants the fantasy fountain show back at bullwinkle’s in 2 new locations?

Wow! I was there not too long and it was still standing. I lived a couple blocks from there so it’s kinda shocking. Sad .
So sad. 😔

Yep Tennesse & Chumly we’re at bullwinkle’s but they were only used at the first location in Santa Clara California!
