Something I like about the enemies in the Pikmin series is they all don’t act like blood thirsty monsters. Instead, they are portrayed as animals who spend their lives normally, but when attacked they do whatever they do to shake off the threat, such as the Puffstool and Man-At-Legs. Those that are after your Pikmin are predators, such as the Emperor Bulblax.
The Man-At-Legs is so odd because it’s portrayed as being part of the ecosystem when it clearly isn’t and very clearly isn’t anything we’ve made either.
I noticed that they made some of these bosses easier. The Waterwraith is much slower. The Horned Cannon Beatle has a much slower firing rate, ect. The Puffstool doesn't convert your Pikmin.

Surely they knew people missed the mushroom pikmin. Hell, they were even mentioned on the Japanese website for Pikmin 4.
Yeah. The pikmin it gets doesn’t even attempt to attack you when the Puffstool has them under control. Instead, they just circle around the Puffstool, even if you get close! It only makes sense in groovy long leg’s manner.
@Shyontheinternet99it’s because of pikmin scale in pikmin 1 every pikmin was the same size but in this game almost every pikmin are different sizes meaning that if they wanted to add puffmin they would have to make 5 new models animate them and code them for an enemy’s you only encounter once
i really feel like the smoky progg shouldn't have been in the night expeditions. not because they made the expeditions harder, i completed every one on the first try, but it would have been so much more climactic to see the thing in the final cave, for the first and only time in the game
At that point you’re arguing semantics on a boss that is virtually identical to its counterparts, even if the logs mention armored cannon beetles and horned cannon beetles as two different things. Returning boss fight with a technically different species/subspecies

purple Pikmin are much weaker if you use charge/rush. any enemy that's not on the ground will not be damaged by rush. Empress Bulblax can be damaged more without rush. it's sometimes easier to escape if you don't use rush. That's why
