- "Mountain" from the music video album Natural States released in 1985. Originally shot on 16mm film and this transfer is from the laserdisc. Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, and the Cascade Range.
I was introduced to this song via an English TV concept entitled 'The Art Of Landscape' way back in 1989. Me and my Dad used to watch it religiously. I've always loved this track and it got me into buying 'Natural States' which is one of my favourite albums. My Dad passed away in 2010 but whenever I hear this track it immediately takes me straight back and somehow brings us back toghether. Thankyou for giving us this music!

David Lanz, Jim Brickman, Michael Gettel, Michael Jones, Liz Story, Windham Hill, Narada ... classical ballet and piano training were so restrictive. All of you ^^ played the notes that helped free up the piano for me.

Natural States, Desert Vision are albums that I enjoy every once in a while since they came out in the mid 80's, as so many other from the vast Narada collection. The time when I really started to immerse myself in music and let my imagination run wild. I love Mountain but but Behind the Waterfall is my fave. As for Desert Vision, Desert Rain Canyon Lands are magic.
This was one of the very first new age albums I came across. I was only twelve years old when I discovered this type of music, and now, at 45 years old, new age remains my favorite genre of music. From the first time I heard it, I thought of ascending a mountain. The scenery here is great. My parents grew up in the Idaho mountains. And that landscape calls to me in a way I think few others really understand.

I always thought of this track as a stately sort of march -- progressing toward something grand, about to start the adventure. In my case at the time I was listening to Natural States, I was applying this to the inevitable flight of young eagles about to leave the nest for the first time.

Search on eBay, Amazon, etc. for used DVDs. I have uploaded all the videos from Natural States and Desert Vision here on my channel. You could copy and download them and burn your own DVDs if you have the software.
