He uses the shit out of that whammy pedal. If you own one you get it. With distortion it sounds like a guitar or with delay it can sound like a piano or guitar and that is just with the 1 octave upward pitch shift. 1 out of 20 settings. I need to grind this tune out. Never was a big fan of them but watching the music played peaked my interest.
Hey man, thank you so much for your videos! I started a Royal Blood tribute in Brazil and your videos were the main source for me, so I though maybe you would like to check it out, it's in my channel. So far we recorded "Out Of The Black", "Figure It Out" and "I Only Lie". Thanks anyway!
I use the tender octaver for a constant +1oct sound, because it is polyphonic and sounds way better than the whammy for that, and I use the whammy to add progressive pitching effects or to add +1oct when I need +2oct because I can't have +2oct with only the tender octaver
sorry for the late reply, but the idea is to split the signal in two. the bass signal gets routed to the bass amp (obviously), and the other signal is octaved up and sent into a guitar amp, and as such, should not be receiving any bass frequencies in the signal
Another awesome cover from you man, spot on. It boggles my mind how Mike can play this and sing at the same time
Thank you ! Mike have talent haha !
Great reference SomeGuyFromBristol !
Lots of practice haha
If that shocks you, what the singer of Primus does will blow your mind.
@@Jay-we2ek Let's be honest, Mr Claypool is not normal. I'm not even sure whether he's human.

Those intervals look so stupid on a score but the song is undoubtedly one of their best
Mike uses standard D tuning, probably easier to play, but I learned it with drop D
Loïck Jouaud same
This is sooooo cool to see!!! I love this song to death and seeing how it’s played is really dope to see done so well done on your part.
i cannot wait for your covers when the new album drops :) x

Really nice ! I think you should try the Mooer Tender Octaver, it sounds awesome for RB, and you can keep your Whammy for pitch shifting effects !
amazing
Perfect!
Thank you man !
muchas chicas envidian tu cintura
Dani Salguero se mamó xddd
Jajajajaja xddd
Did you ever take lessons or music classes? You play amazingly! I love your royal blood and jack white covers. Rock on man
Thanks a lot ! Yes I took lessons for around 10 years
You could also play it in D standard tuning, but good cover tho
Thanks ! Yes I know, it's the tuning that Mike uses
awesome cover man, which setting are you using on the whammy to get that sound?
Thanks ! +1oct, but there are also a second octaver always activated
Excuse my ignorance, but why do you need an Tender Octaver AND a Whammy? The Whammy by itself can't do the clean octaves as well?
I use the tender octaver for a constant +1oct sound, because it is polyphonic and sounds way better than the whammy for that, and I use the whammy to add progressive pitching effects or to add +1oct when I need +2oct because I can't have +2oct with only the tender octaver
you alway has active the mooer pedal??
Nice , metal pedal n octave ?
Fuzz, octaver + whammy and 2 amps
Great job friend, what do you do with the guitar amp channel to protect it from the bass frequencies at high volume? Any tips?
sorry for the late reply, but the idea is to split the signal in two. the bass signal gets routed to the bass amp (obviously), and the other signal is octaved up and sent into a guitar amp, and as such, should not be receiving any bass frequencies in the signal
that was a nice bass guitar.. what brand is it..?
Aria Pro II Avante AVB-40
What are your settings for the triple wreck?
vol 3h, gain 10h30, boost 9h, treable 4h, mids 4h, bass 1h
The whammy isn't run through the bass too is it?
Yes, on this one whammy is only on the guitar amp
Loïck Jouaud Sweet, that's what I was thinking, just wanted to be sure. Thank you!
he played it in Standard D, not Drop D
Hi. Could you tell me which effects can i use to make that sound on my digital pedal? Im new to using a pedal. Thanks
Fuzz + octaver + pitch shifter
Loïck Jouaud no wah?
Not on this one, the auto wah is only on the 2nd album, on Lights Out, She's Creeping, and IOLWILY in live
Sounds like they tried to rip off “Tool”
The main riff basically came right out of a tool song
It's very close to 46 and 2
tuning is wrong. but nice try
