Fantastic instructional video, thanks very much! Would you mind explaining which pedals you're bringing in and out on the 3 patches you use on the GEC9? Can't quite work out the differences!
This sounds really great. Im trying to make your midi controller but the programming is really hard could you sent the code of your preset from this song and lights out. Keep up the good work.
Ok I propose you that : use a Mooer Pedal Controller Loop 6 (~140$) Plug your bass in the Input In loop 1 : Boss PS-6 (~140$) for pitch shifting effects In loop 2 : make a cable with 3 male 6.35 jack connected together like mine, and connect Send, Return and bass amp together, or use an Y-box (like Lead Foot ABY or Fender ABY Footswitch), connect the Send of the loop to the Y-box input, then the A output of the Y-box to the Return of the loop, and the B output of the Y-box to the bass amp : when you activate loop 2, the bass amp is activated and when you disable loop 2 the bass amp is disconnected In loop 3 : Mooer Tender Octaver (~90$) for +1oct fake guitar sound In loop 4 : EHX Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi (~110$) to have 2 different saturations Output of the Mooer Loop 6 to the Guitar amp
The easiest configuration is an Y-box, with one signal going to the bass amp and the other in the guitar amp with an octaver and a fuzz (or the distortion canal of the amp), but it's quite restricted
He uses guitar strings for the 2 top strings only for 3 songs : this one, Careless and One Trick Pony, but no, I use only bass strings, thats why I use the whammy to have +2oct when I need it
Oh man yes haha ! I watched your covers, you're a great drummer ! I suppose your Lights Out cover was blocked like mine ? Maybe too far to make a band but we can do a collaboration on a song if you want
Next challenge : make all Royal Blood songs on bass before the release of the new album on June 16 haha !
Ahahahaahahahahah:)))))
Loïck Jouaud would you consider showing how you made and use the midi controller?
well
Limbo will be hard hahaha we've heard just a few second clip from the royal blood Ig😂
new album means "Typhoons" for me. Welcome in 2021
That's the first time I watch someone cover Royal Blood and gets a perfect sound. Probably as close sounding as you can get. Congrats
Thank you very much man !
Loïck has *by far* the best Royal Blood covers on youtube.
Haha thanks for the compliment !
Thank you for putting the tabs on screen, not in the description.
It's easier to learn
Loïck Jouaud exactly. Just spending five minutes editing them in makes it so much easier to learn.
Bad. Ass.
Badass
Baass
Bass!
Ass
This is the song I'm most stoked for off the new album. Awesome cover!!
Thank you ! I think the rest of the album will be as good haha
Haven't even heard the one by Royal Blood but your cover is great :)
Thank you ! :)
Dude you're absolutely amazing!
Thank you !
Great cover! Mike uses D A A D on this one though! still absolute \m/
Thanks ! Yes I know, with 2 guitar strings haha
This cover raises hell I love it
Mike Kerr plays it in daad tuning with 2 guitar strings and 2 bass strings!
Yes I know, but I don't want to change my strings for only one song
Just for curiosity: which bass strings had to be swapped with the guitar strings?
Shalbeom the two top strings are normal,so the d and a. The d and g strings were changed to guiatr
Goosebumps... Wow.
dude ur my idol
can we get likes for that foot coordination?
omg you are so amazing
Haha thank you
I love the ending 👌
Gold. Nice job bro!
Amazing tbh
Thanks !
damn dude, you're legit
Nice job, bud.
Thanks
you rock dude !!!!!!
Thank you !!
Dope AF
Fantastic instructional video, thanks very much!
Would you mind explaining which pedals you're bringing in and out on the 3 patches you use on the GEC9? Can't quite work out the differences!
Thanks a lot !
loop1 : the 2 cables from the y box
loop2 : whammy
loop3 : mooer
loop4 : wampler
you're fucking awesome!
Thanks !
look so hard for me)))) good job
Thank you !
Génial !
This sounds really great. Im trying to make your midi controller but the programming is really hard could you sent the code of your preset from this song and lights out.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you ! I can send it to you by email
thank you very much my email is calvinsteenbergen@gmail.com
Ok, I'll send you probably on the next week
FYI Now there has been an official studio version recorded, and the solo is slightly different from this video.
Yes, I heard it
You amazing!
NOOIIIIIIIICCCEe
Hey man nice cover!
Can you tell me what's the name of the pedal that you use to increase the note at minute 2:39? Please
Thanks ! It's a homemade MIDI controller for Whammy
What is the change pedal for the whammy??? Sounds amazing!!
Thank you ! It's a homemade MIDI controller
Really?? Sound and looks very amazing!! Great job my friend!!
Greetings from Mexico!
Thank you ! Yes, Watch this video : th-cam.com/video/66G0tyxa3vw/w-d-xo.html
Do you use your midi controller in the same way that Mike Kerr uses his boss Harmonist? For the pitch bending effects?
Yes, and also to add +1 oct to reach +2 with the Mooer
Amazing cover dude!
is there any chance to help me build their basic pedals to achieve the sounds with 2 amps?
Thanks man ! What's your budget for the pedals ?
not including the amps though.. pedals only maybe US$500
thanks dude!
Ok I propose you that : use a Mooer Pedal Controller Loop 6 (~140$)
Plug your bass in the Input
In loop 1 : Boss PS-6 (~140$) for pitch shifting effects

In loop 4 : EHX Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi (~110$) to have 2 different saturations
Output of the Mooer Loop 6 to the Guitar amp
Very very thank you for your explanations!
But can we go for a such a simpler methods? Without the loop box?
The easiest configuration is an Y-box, with one signal going to the bass amp and the other in the guitar amp with an octaver and a fuzz (or the distortion canal of the amp), but it's quite restricted
Do love and leave it alone by royal blood
In the next 2 weeks
Full drop D tuning? (D G C F)
No, classic drop D (D A D G), also Mike Kerr uses strange tuning ( D A A D) with guitar strings on the 2 top strings
What pedal is that?
Homemade MIDI controller for Whammy
The guy in royal blood uses guitar strings, do you do that too?
He uses guitar strings for the 2 top strings only for 3 songs : this one, Careless and One Trick Pony, but no, I use only bass strings, thats why I use the whammy to have +2oct when I need it
so this is a live version of the song i guess?
Yes, BBC Maida Vale 2017
Loïck Jouaud thx bro
I absolutely love your covers, but I wish the singing was clearer.
Thank you, yes I highlighted a lot my bass on this one
Loïck Jouaud as I said though I so very much so enjoy them
you ever thought about creating a band? or does that not interest you?
I had have many bands before, I think I will restart soon, I miss it, why not a Royal Blood tribute haha !
If you need a drummer for that I'd be down!
Oh man yes haha ! I watched your covers, you're a great drummer ! I suppose your Lights Out cover was blocked like mine ? Maybe too far to make a band but we can do a collaboration on a song if you want
Thanks a lot man, your bass covers are class! Ye the lights out cover didn't last too long... Collab sounds awesome
Thanks ! Ok great, we can chat about that, by email or Facebook
Isn't the bit at 2:45 wrong? Not trying to hate, you're a million times better than me but the original sounds a lot different there.
It's the solo that he plays live, I made this cover with a live backing track
@@loickjouaud9557 ok
Awful blazer, great bass cover. Overall solid.
No comments about my blazer ;) thank you btw !
You sure you're a fan of RB?........
try hard
