There is a story that the scene in the sauna room between El and Billy was a long shoot and very taxing on Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven). When you see El collapse into Mike's arms, you see Finn Wolfhard (Mike) look to his right very concerned. The story is that he was concerned because it seemed that Millie completely broke down.
The season's really heating up now (pun absolutely intended). I love the nuance of that conversation between Nancy and Jonathan after they've been fired. Both were right... and both were wrong, somewhat ignorant and certainly insensitive to the experiences and the needs of the other. Wonderfully thought provoking writing. The subsequent conversation Nancy has with her mother is fantastic too. It's so heartfelt and gives us new insight into Karen's character... and Danny's surprise and confusion at Nancy's suggestion that her fighting spirit was passed down to her by her father was priceless (17:24), hahaha. Erica joining the Scoops Troop and being iconic is gold. Operation Child Endangerment went surprisingly well..... until it didn't, with the group now falling towards Hell at breakneck speed. Hop's back to punching out government officials - we all live for it. He and Joyce seem to be closing in on the Russian lab/magnet disrupting machine..... and what's that tension between the two of them? Perhaps a very insightful character will help us (and them) understand it at some point, hahaha. I can't go without mentioning the sauna scene. Dacre Montgomery acted the crap out of it, seamlessly flipping from Billy to the Mind Flayer and back again. His tortured pleas to Max for her to help him are heart breaking..... and then the switch flips and he's more menacing than ever. He's also extremely powerful, having stretched El to her limits..... that fight was intense! ..... Oh, and there's now an army of the flayed? Holy crap!!!!! Surely that ain't going to be good for anybody. See you guys for the next one. 👍
This is such a good episode! Everyones acting is amazing but I really see Dacre shine this episode, they did really well with the casting for this show and you can tell the actors put their all into it! Loved the reaction as always, ya'll seem to bring that extra insight into these shows that I don't see many other reactors do, thats why ya'll are my favorite reaction channel! 💛
The acting by Decre (Billy) was top knotch in this episode and the next few episodes as well too who would have thought a power ranger actor was actually this good if given such a role
That mayer is the actor in the princess bride and Saw and many other movies it's interesting seeing him in this show but so perfect for him i forget his actual name but i grew up watching him in many things
It is my belief that Billy experienced his last true moments of lucidity in that sauna, as he was begging to be forgiven and that he "tried to fight it".
Love the scene between Nancy and her mom. Those kind of moments and the character arcs are part of what makes Stranger Things so special.
Agreed 😢

Cary Elwes. He also played Desperaux in the TV show "Psych."

😢😢
Yes not only was Billy strong and people might not notice a different but he also has childhood pain that the mindflayer can use to take him over
Keep up the epic work 🤩 🤩
