The straw technique just saved me an hour of struggling. Thank you!
queen. i just got a band hoodie off the boy i’m seeing and the string came out first wash. this was so helpful!!
So glad I could help! 👑
literally my exact issue rn im wearing my boyfriends band hoodie and the string came out first wash too
Mine also came out first wash 😭
If you want to use the chopstick method but the hole is too small to fit both the string and chopstick through at the same time, just tape the very end of the string and chopstick together, not overlapping. I did that with an old paintbrush and it worked perfectly!
Thank you so much!!! Just washed my favorite hoodie 5 minutes ago, immediately saw the string was out, this is so helpful! Love videos like this.
Glad I could help!
Thank you for posting your trial and error !!! I used the straw method, threaded my hoodie in less than a minute!! This video is very helpful and appreciated ❣️👍

Thank you so much for your wonderful post.
I was able to restore my brand new hoodie
My hoodies have the metal hoops, the zip ties worked best. I used the smallest one I had in my elec kit.
* Just a note to anybody using this method, *** be sure to wrap the end of your string around the zip tie and tape it with the very small amount of tape ***
it works the best. 🤠
Just used your straw method to help out my coworker. Took me lass than a minute! Thank you!

Dude my string fell off as soon as I washed it and this helped so much. 👍
Great to hear!
Thank you so much! Worked perfectly
If you have a plastic straw like the ones you get from fountain sodas you can put a single cut from the top to the bottom of the straw and place the hoodie string inside of it and the straw will naturally close over the hoodie string so you can pull the string through the hoodie with out needing to use a stapler or tape
This is really helpful!❤
Thank you!
the straw was such a good help! Happy I found this video
So glad!
Thanks..it was the straw method that saved me❤
Thank you the chopstick one was very helpful.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I used a metal straw to push the string through my son’s sweat shorts. The first time was a fail - the tape and string detached half way through. Once I applied more tape, it was a go! Thanks again.😄

I only had a safety pin and a straw… I put the safety pin through the straw… 😊 thank you 🙏🏾
The only thing that works and every other vid told me to use a marker which stained my strings but this was a savior of a $75 hoodie 😅 thank you 🙏

This video was informative and really helped me out.
So glad it helped!
if you don't have tape, you can use a paperclip and ziptie by stabbing one end of the paperclip into the string and the other through the hole in the ziptie, then pushing the ziptie through. this is what I did since I didn't have any tape
thank you for the video!!! it was extremely helpful ❤

For the safety pin, if the hoodie holes are too small. Attach to the string first, then grab pliers and make the pins end smaller.
Good tip!
