So the players stood to benefit financially and contractually in the long run because of better stats because they knew what pitches are coming while playing at home ( for proof look at all the Astros players home-away splits from 2017 thru 2019 ) ....they hurt pitchers stats thus possibly affecting their future contracts. They then get away with it with not even a $1.00 fine because they rat out coaches and front office. Astros players are straight trash. Altuve won the MVP in 2017 with comparable stats to Aaron Judge...Altuves home splits in 2017 were through the roof because he knew if a fastball or an off speed pitch was coming. So it's safe to say if he wasn't cheating at home that year his splits would have been closer to his away splits and he never wins the MVP and Aaron Judge does. They deserve every fastball that hits them between the numbers or buzzes their chins for years to come.
