At 17:49, just as Maxson turns into a mop, a Brotherhood mook asks for an area sweep. ...it's not quite a broom but darn it, I say the gag still sticks.
Welcome back to the wall of text :) Suggestion for a character/historical figure run: “Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as general Douglas MacArthur?” A bit of context: MacArthur was a US general who was famously fired during the Korean War after he revealed that his plan to win the war was to launch a massive tactical nuke attack at the border between the Korean Peninsula and China. His idea was to turn the area into a wasteland to prevent troops and aid to make it to the peninsula. This caused a massive drama both in the US and internationally, so to prevent things from getting worst MacArthur was relief (fired) of duty. Basically this would be a Fat Man focus run. That’s why I suggested New Vegas BTW, as the “Gun Runners' Arsenal” DLC let’s you buy different types of mini nukes. Hopefully this helps to make the challenge more than a pacifist run with extra steps, plus the variety of explosions might help to make the experience less repetitive, and maybe even “tactical” as each type of mini nuke have different aspects. And yes, this would be one of those runs that is less about beating the game, but rather the shenanigans that ensure while using such an OP weapon. In a previous comment someone asked me if MacArthur ever used a .45 (aka the famous 1911 pistol), this let me down a rabbit hole regarding the generals career. Basically despite his willingness to use nukes and being in the military, MacArthur was never a “gun guy”, so he only carried a hand gun for self defence, a gun that during the years changed. First it was a .38 revolver, he used it during the US intervention in the Mexican revolution of the early 1910’s; when he was send to France to fight in WW1 he received and used a 1911 pistol (thought there aren’t any photos of him with the gun); finally between the world wars and all the way to when he fas fired, he used a .32 semi automatic pocket pistol. Checking and the Fallout New Vegas wiki, there are several revolvers: “.357 Magnum”, “Lucky”, “Police Pistol” (I accidentally thought this was a .32 in my previous attempts) that should do the trick for the .38. As for the 1911, since the “.45 automatic pistol” and it’s unique variant “A Light Shining in Darkness” from the “Honest Hearts” DLC are 1911s that isn’t a problem. However without mods, there isn’t anything in NV similar to a .32 pistol pocket pistol, though you could use the 9mm or the 5.56mm since as they are the most similar in calibre to a .32 = 8.128mm. Since MacArthur had a .32 when developing his nuclear addiction, I would say the only pistol you should use from the list is the .32 equivalent. That being said, I think switching between pistols would make the challenge more ridiculous than what it is already. If not getting both “Lucky” and “A Light Shining in Darkness” should be extra objectives for the run. As for the look? The best I can think of is to get general Oliver’s uniform (boots and cap included) and complement it with some massive sunglasses and a smoking pipe, though for that last one anything relatively close to it should do the trick. That being said someone pointed out to me that the Lonesome Road DLC has the “US Army General outfit”, problem is that outfit is dominated by a trench coat (making it very WW1ish), while general Oliver’s clothes more closely resembles what MacArthur used to wear. Someone also mentioned that one of the requirements of the run should be to complete the “Lonesome Road” DLC. I would also suggest collecting all 14 of the normal mini nukes that are in the base game, though I feel like that it might be a bit boring compared to everything else on the run. You should also keep in mind that even though MacArthur worked for the government (US army), he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Army by millionaire turn president Herbert Hoover. So you can either work with the NCR or Mr. House. Attempt: 9
I could cry tears of joy just watching this, my favorite skyrim gag/op weapon in a fallout video, thank you for yet another great video in the Nerbit style we all love.
By far one of you best, if not the best video you’ve done, from the absolute randomness of deathclaw carnage to the railroad hate for you going beyond realms. Beautiful, made m day.
The fact that it breaks quest mobs and 90% of Fallout 4's quests are "Kill X" means this is gun is doomed to bork pretty much any run. Still a fun little romp though, great vid as always!
Sorry for another pokemon run but this is something I thought of: pokemon sword and shield but your team is only the wind and the willows characters. Mr. Toad, Mr.Mole, Mr. Otter, Mr. Badger, Mr. Hare and one other character from the books. The reason is Galar is based on England and I thought it would be funny.
Yo nerbit, short video idea, in fallout 4 if you change camera while reloading a weapon your character repeats the animation, what I propose to you is that you must go from vault 111 to Vergil's cave, from there to the ship in the south east, the from there to the place where you start Far Harbor and then go back to vault 111 while doing that, you may save in the places I said to serve as checkpoints
I love how used the Fallout 2 OST for this video. It seems rather fitting that you used the music from a rather wacky game with a rather wacky weapon. Great vid as always.
Now I'm imagining a skyrim wabbajack only run. Fortunately there isn't a level requirement for it, otherwise you'd have to find a non-combat way to grind levels without sinking points into stuff that would make you weak but enemies strong (imagine only getting your weapon at level 15 and having only put stats into blacksmithing or something)
After watching so many of your Fallout videos I finally bought this game (Fallout 4). I'm as lost in it as I was when I first started Skyrim. Thanks for showing me where to find the Railroad. Haven't decided which faction to join yet. Love watching your challenge videos. They offer great entertainment and ideas on how to play the games differently. Sheogorath must be laughing himself sick from the chaos alone. He's probably chiseling a bust of you now ^_^
Challenge Run Idea: "Can You Beat Fallout 3 as Allistair Tenpenny" - Can only use a sniper rifle as a weapon. - Have to get enough caps to be considered "rich". (Been a while since I played 3, so I'd say minimum at least 10-20k caps at the end of the game.) - Any instance where you can hire someone else to do something for you, or make a business decision such as investing wisely, you have to take. - Must fully upgrade the Tenpenny Tower player home. Other rules/restrictions are up to you to decide. I'd say that you could hire companions but that may make the run too easy, so maybe either don't hire them, or implement a restriction such as only being able to use them for a single quest or event. At the very least, I'd say it'd be a good in character move to hire one to input the code at the end, since there's no way Tenpenny would willingly sacrifice himself.
I know that it would have been kinda “lame” I guess, but could you have Gun Bashed the enemies that met a quest quota? Again it probably would have gone against the point of the weapon, but it would have been the best(?) way to make sure that the quests didn’t break as badly. You’d still have to shoot some of the required enemies with it no doubt but maybe it could have helped? Still an excellent video as always!!
I'm not sure if it's possible, but I think it would be fun to see a run-through of skyrim as a draugr, with ancient Nordic weapons and frost magic as restrictions
Huh. You meet your dog at a place called Red Rocket. I never thought about that before. It jives with Bethesda's sense of humor, though. Raminus Polus, Assumanu cave, Assemanu Sixth House base, etc..

the reason why the railroad attack you on sight is because you attacked the synth girl right before, when you killed the courser (I think)
Welcome back to the wall of text :)
Suggestion for a character/historical figure run:
“Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as general Douglas MacArthur?”
A bit of context:
MacArthur was a US general who was famously fired during the Korean War after he revealed that his plan to win the war was to launch a massive tactical nuke attack at the border between the Korean Peninsula and China.
I used to be a Lone Survivor like you, until I took a Preston Garvey to the knee.
By far one of you best, if not the best video you’ve done, from the absolute randomness of deathclaw carnage to the railroad hate for you going beyond realms. Beautiful, made m day.
I had gone years without having to think about it, but now I will never think about Red Rocket the same way again.

You could say that you "mopped up" the Brotherhood😂
The fact that it breaks quest mobs and 90% of Fallout 4's quests are "Kill X" means this is gun is doomed to bork pretty much any run. Still a fun little romp though, great vid as always!
3:24 the thing is... that is not the greatest handgun ever made
Sorry for another pokemon run but this is something I thought of: pokemon sword and shield but your team is only the wind and the willows characters. Mr. Toad, Mr.Mole, Mr. Otter, Mr. Badger, Mr. Hare and one other character from the books. The reason is Galar is based on England and I thought it would be funny.
Me five seconds ago: “Oh neat a new Fallout 4 challenge video…wait a minute”
Yo nerbit, short video idea, in fallout 4 if you change camera while reloading a weapon your character repeats the animation, what I propose to you is that you must go from vault 111 to Vergil's cave, from there to the ship in the south east, the from there to the place where you start Far Harbor and then go back to vault 111 while doing that, you may save in the places I said to serve as checkpoints
I love how used the Fallout 2 OST for this video. It seems rather fitting that you used the music from a rather wacky game with a rather wacky weapon. Great vid as always.
getting softlocked was sheogorath's masterplan all along
Maxson in his dying breath becomes a mop as he screams "Area sweep! Now!"
14:52 you killed the synth that might be why
4:17 bro sold his .44 to buy .44 💀
Now I'm imagining a skyrim wabbajack only run. Fortunately there isn't a level requirement for it, otherwise you'd have to find a non-combat way to grind levels without sinking points into stuff that would make you weak but enemies strong (imagine only getting your weapon at level 15 and having only put stats into blacksmithing or something)
"And when he turns his claws on me, I simply turn him into a kickball" is so threatening if you're listening from a triggerman's perspective
"Instant Heart-Attack Gun" was absolutely brilliant. No curveballs, no slides, absolutel nothing but straight mfkn GAS
*Nerbit:* I didn't antagonize the Railroad in any way.
*Me:* Remembers literally 50 seconds ago.
He's probably chiseling a bust of you now ^_^
Fun fact dog meat doesn’t affect the lone wanderer perk so you can have him as a companion and still get the effects of the lone wanderer perk
Alrighty... You have my attention.
Challenge Run Idea: "Can You Beat Fallout 3 as Allistair Tenpenny"
- Can only use a sniper rifle as a weapon.
- Have to get enough caps to be considered "rich". (Been a while since I played 3, so I'd say minimum at least 10-20k caps at the end of the game.)
- Any instance where you can hire someone else to do something for you, or make a business decision such as investing wisely, you have to take.
I will NEVER get what you said about red rocket out of my head , ever , never , how could you do that
Still waiting for fallout 4 as Preston Garvey
Huh. You meet your dog at a place called Red Rocket. I never thought about that before. It jives with Bethesda's sense of humor, though. Raminus Polus, Assumanu cave, Assemanu Sixth House base, etc..
For the next can you beat Skyrim as Lina inverse? Condition
-No mods
-Destruction and Restoration
-Red-Haired Breton
Nerbit: attacks the synth at greenetech genetics, which Deacon has to have scouted out after your visit to know you killed the courser.
Also Nerbit: "why does the railroad hate me? Must be fate."
