Compared to other Pokémon games, the Pokémon in PMD felt more like people than well people. It was one of those games where I occasionally stopped to read as much dialogue as I could. I hope to see this series again at some point in the future.
The series ain't dead yet boys! But this may also be the last chance we have to support the creators. It's obvious that sales have been on the decline since after the Explorers games, so we have to pull out all the stops and show with not just words, but also actions how much this series means to us!
This song... This is the song that made me check out PMD. This, and "On the Beach at Dusk". But... this one is more special, in a way. It encapsulates ALL of PMD-the games, the songs, the stories... the amazing irl friends I've made because of it. It's really close to my heart. So, thank you Pikabata. Thank you a lot.
right i was very iffy going in worried it wouldn't sound right like a lot of fan made songs but this just works. i like that they use one of the rhythms from explorers as a leitmotif to make it sound even more like something you might would hear in official works
Well isn't this just absolutely delightful? Really feels straight out of a PMD game! It feels like the reunion after the human disappeared and returned, since it still has that little bit of softness of tears, but overall happy!
This truly does feel like a missing piece of the PMD OST, outstanding work, well done! I'd think that this would be some sort of secret theme to play during an alternate ending, or some sort of untold event not in the game. Maybe a theme for in PMD1 when Gengar and Gardevoir reunite, or in PMD2 if Darkrai ends up winning/erasing the hero again. Such a good piece of work for sure.
When this came out I had a very heartbreaking time in my life. Everytime I stumble over this I feel a mix of sadness, regret and happiness in some way.
The PMD series has been with me since I first got Blue Rescue Team for my birthday years ago, this is the ONLY game series that can make me cry no matter how many times I played it. I not only bought DX to support the creators, but for the fact that I broke down when I saw they were making a remade version of this game.
if the remake isn't enough of a nostalgia ride, this brought me back to when i was first hopping on musescore and finding your arrangements :') I love everything about this
This song was so well done that I could not tell it was fan made. I feel like crying for a game that does not exist. I think if your goal is to make someone cry, then the most effective way to do that is to confuse their feelings between joy and sadness. I don't know how to feel when I listen to this. Good job.
well, it's been two months since I saw the ending of PMD, I cant't express how much that game changed my life and helped me to learn a true lesson, at the end I know that I'm still a totodile by heart and I'll always worship that experience :'3
Absolutely love how the main melody's notes are accompanied by what sounds like ticking of a clock, like most of the songs from EoT-D-S have in them. Love that detail in the game, considering the whole Time Crisis.
Holy crap this is fantastic. Also at 0:24 I like that reference to _A Wish for Peace_ , and that key change at 1:42 greatly adds to the elevated mood of the song.
Genuinely cried at this. Getting to play this game with my younger siblings on DX's release is something I will forever hold dear to my heart. Seeing that this series, its stories, and the emotions it made me and so many others feel keeps going on forever is something that fills me with so much somber hope. I feel sad that the times are past, that maybe I can't experience these times the same again, but feeling that new joy and getting to share it with my little siblings who were just like me is the most humbling and amazing experience. I'm so glad they revived this series.
This is what would play when we truly wish to return to the human world which we came and have had our fun times together. We may be apart from our partners, but we will have never left each other’s hearts.
This is SO fluffing pretty ahhh my heart qωq This has spiked my excitement for the new PMD & I always love listening to your arrangements and especially original songs of yours because they have so much emotion and they're beautiful
Gosh I've looked up to your work for such a long time now and this one in particular has been a big favorite of mine over the years; I always come back to this song and I think about it all the time, your original pmd tunes are truly incredible
@@Pikabata goodness this reply is so late haha - but yes, I've been coming back to relisten to your music for several years now! you're one of my favorite creators in the music side of the pmd fandom; your tunes truly mean a lot to me. :'] you're very welcome!!
I think a lot of us could feel the same way as you. I mean quite a few of us thought the PMD series was dead but with Nintendo remaking the ones that started the whole fanbase it gives lots of us hope and a big rush of nostalgia. Everyone in their own way has contributed to their love to the series I myself have decided to go back and collect everyone in which released. I think I speak on behalf of all of us when I say I hope the Pokemon mystery dungeon series doesn't end any time soon.
You don't need more of something for it to continue living. Take books for example. Usually the big hits are just one series or novel, and end right there. But they go on to be timeless classics, and everyone who read them will never say that they're "dead" because there are no more books being published.
@@dragonmage372 It’s been two years I get a response a month ago. Crazy, but no you’re totally right, regardless of how sucky some of those “classics” are. Personal Bias aside the only way for people to understand & to continue to understand what made these so special is if it warrants a dedicated fan base, no matter how small. The series is by no means dead, although its future is uncertain, its fanbase is alive & well. And as long as even a fragment remains in the hearts of fans, it can’t be dead in a forgotten sense. (Also BTW the goal to collect every PMD game expanded to every pokemon ds spinoff which im now only missing Dash & Rangers Guardian signs)
I think I heard this a couple years ago a few months into the pandemic while working from home. Maybe not the greatest thing to associate a piece of music with, but in between that period, I finally played Explorers of Time. This is an amazing track, and dedication to the games!
Wow. I wish this was in the actual game. Such a beautiful song. I know this was mainly inspired by Run Away, Fugitives and Don't Ever Forget but it really feels like the PMD1-equivalent to Memories Returned from PMD2. Too bad PMD1 doesn't have something like that.
Y'know... There's something about this track that really resonates with me. I dunno, maybe it's because it's become intrinsically tied to a ship that's featured in my own Mystery Dungeon Fanfiction, but y'know... I just... Hearing this hits hard, especially when you're a sap who yearns for the type of friendship you can only find in PMD. Good work my good fella.
