I live next to Okayama Prefecture. It is famous for Indigo dye, and denim. It is nice, and a grail for denim nuts, but it is kind of far from other major cities.

I mean I have heard that you are not to wash them within 6 months to maintain the Indigo blue color and that as it age, the patina will look good. What are your thoughts how the jeans should be care. Another way, these are tool jeans and is it not meant to be washed? ( I know it's a freak in idea not to wash the jeans) TIA for your reply
hey my friend, thank you for the kind words!! yes that's right about not washing them, i've never washed this pair. but each pair of denim is different. i don't think i would ever wash these because they're unsanforized and i don't want them to shrink!! I may do a soak one day. All i do is just hang them and let them breath, and they're fine. pants require far less cleaning than other garments like shirts!!

yes that's why it's important to find a tailor you trust!! just tell them you'd like to "taper" the leg opening and make sure you communicate that you're happy with the thighs so they don't mess with those, otherwise they could end up too tight!!

I’ve got a pair of Nudie jeans that I love , I might take those in with me and ask them to mirror the silhouette, fingers crossed it works because if it doesn’t my wife will quite literally be wearing my knackers as earrings

SigBoy 1911 sizing for Japanese denim is very difficult, as it varies from batch to batch, so you just have to read the measurements and compare them to your specific measurements. And also, these are so heavy they haven’t stretched at all!!
aerosurferlv ya I'm a 38-39 in most raw denim so organically I went with a 36 and was told it would stick to around 37.75. I called and decided to go to a 38 witch according to their sizing chart is around a 40. I'll do a super hot soak and see if they shrink at all. I figure better they be a little too lose than too small. The ones I got are only 15.5oz denim also
I know!!! they still do, it makes me mad actually because they're so stubborn and refuse to take on that faded/ worn look! i'm determined though, just give me time :-D
+Henry Ho. I don't know about bullet proof, but I have seen a guy use his 32 oz jeans to stub a cigarette out when their were no ashtrays at a party. Would you be concerned if a lit cigarette brushed against yours.?
wilsjane I’m sure nothing will happened if cigarette ash get on my 32 oz but I prefer not to because personally I don’t smoke, and I like to aged my clothes naturally. Thanks for asking!

29 size levis (washed) is fit(a few tight) for me, how do i choose momtaro (unwashed and don't consider shrink)?

Do you wear these wet for break ins or do you just wear them as is until broken in? Whats your method? Thanks in advance
i actually just wear them like normal! the wet breakin process is time consuming and i don't really like it !
