Seen this movie when I was 13-14 years old and it led me to Jesus 😊 I was 14 but started backsliding when I was 17 …for 20 years i backslid but I came to the Lord after becoming an alcoholic for 10 years. I got sick and had insomnia for a month. I had alcohol withdrawals and I cried alright to God for help, he helped me that morning. I ended up in the hospital and have been sober since. God is good and He never leaves. Even though I don’t deserve His grace and forgiveness He helps. ❤❤❤ and heals.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This is a testimony to God's great power of changing our hearts in Christ Jesus. I read books and seen David Wilkerson teaching/preaching the Word of God, and it is amazing how God used him with such a strong conviction, love and compassion of Christ Jesus.
I read "The cross and the switchblade" book about 10 times and saw the movie more than 4 times and that motivated me to start a youth bible study group and produce 3 youth videos and start a utube channel...all because of most salute worthy ministry of David Wilkerson....a very outstanding servant of God. Praise the Lord for such dedicated servant of God
I just watched this movie again and it's just so original from the time it was made. I love this movie and cry everytime, it's beautiful and blessed. No remake can match it ever!
The book is amazing! If you enjoyed the movie, get the book, read it, then give it to some youth in your life. I gave it to my 15 year old friend and through the book, the Holy Spirit touched her life; she became a Christian.
I’m so glad to see this movie. I’ve been following Dr Wilkerson Pastor Wilkerson on TH-cam. I love his sermons and now to see where he came from. Wow I love him even more. I saw this movie a long long time ago after I read the book the Cross and the switchblade, his life has been amazing. I am so proud of him and I know that God loves him very much.
I saw this movie when I was was 13 or 14 and read the book sometime later.all I saw was Erik Estrada. I first heard you needed to be born again when I was sixteen. Later as a senior in high school did I get redeemed. I am 67 now and have been walking with my Savior since. Not perfect but watching for him to meet Him in the clouds. Thank you for showing this movie at this time.
Why? This is a true story about David Wilkerson and how God worked in his life. We cannot change the date of his birth to suit people, he was born in 1931 and died in 2011, if the movie is up-dated it would no longer be true.
@juliapom9115 First, I did not say to update the timeline, only the movie. This movie, as made in 1970, is not relatable to today's youth. They will not take the time to watch it of their own accord, and those who are made to will not give it the attention required to understand the message. Technology and standards of film making have jumped light years in the past 50-odd years. This could be utilized to make the movie relatable to today's youth, get and hold their attention, and stay true to the book. (Even more so than this movie, if we're both honest.) Thanks for asking and taking the time to read my reply. 😊👍
I have a friend, a very good guy who does not want to watch these movies or anything for that matter that is on TH-cam, because he feels that the copyright is being infringed. Thank you for sharing this movie. I watched it long ago when I was a kid with my family on Trinity Broadcasting Network(TBN). So blessed to be watching it again on TH-cam. Thank you again and God bless you. ❤
I came across a video of the real Nicky Cruz.....where he talks in detail how he first resisted preacher's message.....but God wouldn't leave Nicky alone..... Nicky finally came around and came to Christ..... completely turned around...then he had the opportunity to go back to his birthplace & brought his Only family came to Jesus! Hallelujah!!!
