This was actually the very last song, last concert, Tarja (TAR’-ee-ah), ever sang with the band. Right after this song, the band handed her “the letter”, which was also posted online for the public, letting her know she was out of the band. Emppu ( EM’-poo) is a fun-loving prankster. Tuomas does keep wine with him during shows. I think his reaction at the end and his knowing that it was the end, makes sense. For another Tarja song, try their version of Phantom of the Opera, or Wishmaster, from this same show. Keep exploring Nightwish.
Total professionals. Probably one of the best concerts that Tarja preformed with Nightwish. This End of an Era, 2005 concerts was to be the last time Tarja was on stage with the band. Being frim sweden and growing up during the ninties it was a given that I joined the fanbase at the age of 9. LGRW!!
They weren't showing appreciation to the crowd. Least the guys weren't. They thought it was the end of their band, as they fired her and tried to bury her career. That was her last song and concert with them. I suggest checking out this entire concert and her solo career. It's amazing.

One of which was seemingly in love with her. Tuomas hasn't written a live song since ahe left. Seems her only wrong action was marrying some not name tuomas. Saying she was threatening to leave, when they had already agreed to do one more album and another tour. That probably wouldn't have had to happen if they let her do side projects like Marco and Floor get to do. Then don't forget they even lied about Annette Saying she quit, when she was infact she was fired while, pregnant, sick and in the hospital. Anette's pregnancy was not a factor to play role there. She offered to let someone to replace her during maternity leave which was not a problem for the band. Then something happened there and she became difficult. The only one claiming Tuomas' feeling is Marcelo. Playing a solo in a team is not okay. That's why they had to leave. And good that the left. Nowadays the band is full of joy on the stage.

Got into a lot more female bands as I got older discovered some awesome bands like nightwish and evanescence and some long forgotten but awesome bands like Cake Like, women fronted bands have deservedly gotten a lot more exposure and headlining festivals recently props to all of those amazingly talented ladies making change happen for the better!!

Of the band's 9 studio albums, 5 were recorded with her, 2 with Anette and 2 with Floor. Most of the songs people suggest in Floor's voice were not originally recorded by her, so it would be nice if in addition to the newer versions you also heard the originals. Each song sounds completely different depending on who is singing. The band also went through other member changes. Drummer Jukka was replaced by Kai and bassist Sami was replaced by Marko. In turn, Marko recently announced his departure and, so far, Nightwish has a temporary bass player. If you liked Marko and Tarja singing together in this song, you will love the duet they do on "The Phantom of the Opera", in a live performance recorded on the dvd "End of an era" (th-cam.com/video/tL25rbnvM4o/w-d-xo.html). Tarja left the band in 2005, before TH-cam was bought by Google. Most of the live performances from her time were posted by fans. You are right and yet so underselling Tarja. A soprano with a round rich warm chest voice. But a fully developed powerful head voice. She has had classical training and has even sung some opera numbers. Phantom of the opera from this concert at the time called ONCE upon a tour ( their 5th Album titled Once) and this was their triumphant homecoming back to Finland. Filmed in the capital Helsinki. Oct 2005. And Tarja was fighting a cold at the time as well. The woman is a showoman through and through. She is every bit a metal head as well. Her solo career going strong. Released a new album and an autobiography Singing in my blood. Always doing something. Married then to the man who is still her manager Mark. They have a kid together. A suggestion for some solo work that shows her range, Innocence a song about domestic violence and the impact on a child. Assumed to be her that witnessed said events. As well as agreeing with her 2016 performance of Muse cover Supremacy.

No, what you see in the end is the band feeling terrible and sh_t - and rightly so. Because what they are going to do. This was Tarja's last song in the band, and one of Tuomas' love (or more like lust) letter to her. They are actually singing they wish to have her (because angel is Tarja's pseudonyme), but they won't. Edit: they will actually burn her wings, like said in the lyrics.
