Seems like a more marketable and palatable version of ABA, interested to know what #actuallyautistic individuals think about it. Still seems like the biggest aim is to assimilate Autistic people into a society that wasn't built with them in mind by inhibiting "negative" behaviours, instead of teaching Autistic people to embrace who they are as individuals and learn to be the best possible version of themselves, like we do with everyone else in society. Why are Autistic people almost always viewed by allistic people as needing to be fixed?
I also find it funny that "inflexible thinking" is always deemed a negative for Autistic individuals, yet the biggest reason Neurodivergent individuals tend to develop mental health issues is from being "othered" by neurotypical people( i.e. society); the inflexibility of neurotypical people to recognize, acknowlege, and accept differences in others never seems to be a problem.
