I admired how Lady Edith truly interacted with the soldiers during the war. She helped them write letters, deliver packages, play games, arrange concerts and deal with their recovery on a more emotional level.
Edith’s character growth was fun to watch. As the world entered into the 1920’s and Edith began dressing more cosmopolitan, she truly did blossom, especially when she was in London and not in the country
I still don’t know why people considered Mary such a great beauty. To me, she is an average normal looking girl who was fortunate enough to be born into a wealthy, well-positioned family. The real beauty is Sybil. In real life, the actress who plays Edith is very beautiful. In Downton Abbey, the writer/creator did his best to wash out her features leaving her with almost no depth in her face except for her nose and large eyes that were left looking so vacant.
A lot of people are hard on Edith after season 5 with Marigold and the Drewes, and I agree she didn’t handle it the right way, but she’s been through so much and done so much more good that it seems silly to define her by her one mistake, especially when it’s an understandable one in her position
I’m writing a fanfic rewriting the events of Downton Abbey and for the life of me I can’t decide whether to have Edith end up with Micheal or Bertie because they’re both wonderful!

Best character in the show!! TEAM EDITH!

The middle child always has a different tale to tell
"But I'm not your most darling girl, am I."
“Mary probably pregnant” 😭

Both Mary's and Edith's first wedding dresses were SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
I don't understand why Mary's dress was so plain. It almost looked like a nightgown to me.
"What a ghastly prospect."
I was disgusted with them in that scene.
@@ameliafroehlich2577I think he was upset at the thought of his daughter becoming an old maid, not of being cared for by her
As a middle child…I side with Edith.

Ooh, fitted sheet. 😮 nice!
Lady Edith was not appreciated by her family because her talents ere unconventional
Great show.
I love her in her new series. The Spanish Princess !!
Edith..awesome ❤
Some people are slow to grow into their identity. Edith was one.
That's why God blessed her to be a Marchoness and outrank Mary and everyone. Love Edith after Sybil. Sybil's my favorite ❤
