Yup, my granddad was a cabinet maker and even the shavings and sawdust wasn't 'scrap'. He'd use it as bedding in the chicken coops or rabbit house. Sometimes, he'd mix it with wood glue (at least I think it was glue, but it may have been something else entirely, as I was very young at the time) and compress them into bricks in a special mould he made. These would be then burned on the open fire or wood stove. This was in the early 60s. My favourite memories were of him making me toy guns and rifles out of leftover pieces of wood. Great times.
Your woodworking talent amazes me ,but your mind even more so. To be able to imagine the things you do with wood is unreal !I am awestruck every time I watch one of your creations.Good Job !
Many in the comments have alluded to the premis 'there is no such thing as scrap, just objects that have yet to find their true calling' Very true. In this very capable pair of hands anything is possible. Beautiful work as always

HELP! I'm trying to turn a platter much like yours using the outboard side of my Laguna Revo 12/16. I started by gluing up a bunch of 2.5" pieces @ 16' long, then I cut it into a large rough 16" platter on the bandsaw. I screwed on the chuck plate and started turning, but after taking more than an inch off, I still can't get the platter to balance itself out. It's still totally lopsided and making my lathe jump all over the place. How can I fix this and why is it happening? I have much of the same wood types that you've got. Some Purple & Yellow Heart, Walnut, Wenge, Maple, etc. Is the weight variance throwing it off? Thanks for any advice!
Since I create similar projects, I'm interested in their approach. 1. Do you create the design manually or with the help of a program? (I use Corel Draw, and Woodturner Pro). 2. Do you receive the cut wood ready for use or do you cut it yourself? If you want, I can give you my email.
Absolutely gorgeous
There is no scrap wood. Simply smaller pieces that have not been used yet. Good looking project Sir

Very true. In this very capable pair of hands anything is possible.
Beautiful work as always
Very purdy! I like that dark wood and the contrast of the other wood. That "waste" wood was the perfect wood
Great use of the leftovers. Reminds me of the sky line Turing you did. Beautiful bowl.
I like the contrast between the dark half and the lighter mixed half on this dish.
This is one of my favorite TH-cam channels on woodturning - he inspires a lot of ideas for me.
So beautiful. I appreciate that you left some imperfections in the wood. It gives the bowl the sense of the life of the tree the parts came from. ❤
Another Amazing project, thanks for sharing your work
Nice piece , great color contrast !!
Beautiful work! That glueup would also do well for bowl from a board technique.
Ваши работы очень необычны, радуют глаз.
Absolutely fanatastic piece!
Nice! How about some patterned cutting boards?
Lovely contrast 🎉❤

Nice! Why does it have a small hole in the center of the ball's inside?
Any concern about gluing end grain to end grain?
Beautiful bowl. Very unique. What kind of wood is the very dark wood?
Travail magnifique
Hi was that a vacuum chuck ? Also, what sort.of tool are you using for sanding
