    Very interesting & useful video, nice one 👍 I bought this keyboard as it sounds great, looks traditional, not too complicated & is quite small. It's also very handy being able to save 16 sounds - a nice amount. It's easy to find & save a few funk sounds, but I'm digging in, especially under the hood to find more dynamic & unusual sounds. What I love is playing keys with one hand, while using a knob for expesssion with the other hand. The Moog ep -3 pedal works great too, especially used in the filter input.

    I bought one with the first stimulus check. I figured I’d never have these sounds if I didn’t have one. I’m a drummer, but when you say “I have a Moog”, band mates get excited because you have a bass/lead/noise machine at your disposal. You may not use it on everything, but I wouldn’t want to be in the studio without the option.

    I had one for a while. When I started experimenting with transposing I ran into a problem where I couldn't untranspose a presets. I ended up losing presets as a result, because I would no longer use the preset that had been transposed, and no matter what I did, I couldn't get that patch back to standard pitch. The solution offered by Moog was to send it in and wait over a month to get it back. If you have one of these, avoid transposing the keyboard at all costs.

    I m a bit confused about envelope amount. What’s the difference between half way right and all the way right? Does it represent the scaling/distance from initial cut off filter position to maximum?

    • @jefgibbons
      @jefgibbons  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, so you set your envelope, then if it's at 12:00 nothing is happening with the envelope. As you crank it to the right it affects the thing (like the filter) more and more with whatever your envelope is set to. If you crank it before 12:00 it'll affect things in a negative way!

    I'm in need of help. I bought a used SUB 25 around 3 weeks ago. And it's been a great little synthesizer. That was until yesterday as I was trying to install the firmware. The entire unit is locked up on me with only the LFO blinking rapidly. No sound, or any other signs of life are present. This is even after cutting power then activating again
    The operator's manual and website gives no kind of details or warnings about this possibly happening in the event that the firmware fails to upload. It doesn't even mention a hard reset procedure, which is what I'm needing just to make it operable again
    I cannot believe that moog would allow such a potential disaster of a feature pass quality control. This is piss poor design on someone's part. I haven't even been able to comprehend some of the explained procedures for use of the firmware. Maybe if I were a programmer and a software hustler I would understand this
