Markus, thank you for your channel and videos. I've watched a ton of option intros that put me to sleep. Your videos are easy to watch and understand . I do have your wheel strategy book but i'm going to make sure i understand all your basic videos first before reading that book.

This video is very helpful. Thank you for sharing it. I am a beginner when it comes to options trading. In option trading, there is an expiration date and a significantly higher number of moving parts than in stock trading. The terms ATM, ITM, and OTM refer to At The Money, In the Money, and Out of the Money, respectively. There is a lot of confusion about stock and options trading among novice traders.
What makes option trading so risky? Is there a reason why most options expire? Should I wait until expiration if my options are already profitable or in the red when trading options?

Does on exercise the right on the date or can one before the date ?

Hey Markus, what’s your usual exit plan? 50% profit target? What about stop loss, do you exit for example after collecting 1.5x credit? I just want to know as much as you know how to enter a trade, what criteria as do you exit a trade especially if it’s bad losing trade, just want to know your risk:reward ratio thanks
Great question. I like to use 90% of my max profits as a profit target for an exit.
@@rockwelltradingservices thanks for the reply. what about if the trades went bad, what do you do? do you have a certain threshold where you exit the trade if its a loss, example (if its a loss of 100% of your credit you exit the trade)
Well, I'm mainly trading "The Wheel Strategy", and part of the strategy is getting assigned. Therefore, if a put that I sold, gets into the money, I'll just get assigned.
Question: Should new traders avoid trading crypto and stick to Forex, Futures, etc, that have an established track record, are less volatile, and respect or adhere more to traditional trading concepts until they get some experience?
I do not trade any of those, so I would recommend you start learning more about stocks and options. Invest in your education first before putting your money in the market.
