Sabaton's music is just so good and the stories behind the songs so exceptional, I think it would be horrible, if Joakim sang like every other metalman out there. His baritone voice is perfect for telling stories about war.

My uncle was drafted in nam. He suffered with ptsd till he passed away. I know this songs about ww1. But the stories he told me of the war. This song holds a special place in my heart. So at the first karaoke night at the local pub after he passed. I sang it in honor of him. I tried to not tear up singing it. But it was hard. Thank you sabaton. My great uncle at 16 volunteered in WW1 - he fought and survived the Somme, then was sent to Paschendaele. This song and 1916 are indirect memories of how he lived in the trenches. Lest We Forget all those fought and died. Their memories will live on forever.

In the war cemetery we have in town are burried romanians,transylvanian romanians,germans,austrians,hungarians,croats and many more. Everyone in one cemetery without seperate rows everyone in one place remeding for future generations that we are all humans.
